RuneScape Information

  1. EDIT: Re-titled post + changed poll options.
  2. I hope I'm not the only person that noticed that "Hood" is typed as "Hod" in the description. NOTE: this isn't the item description when you view the item alone! This is *only* for the Featured Item description.
  3. I haven't heard anything good about the rat7, i've even heard of people returning the 7 because 5 had less glitches. :s
  4. What got me interested in the R.A.T. 5 was seeing several reviews about it in pc gaming magazines, and I looked into it and liked what i saw. Unfortunately, there isn't a store within 100 miles of here that has one for me to even get a hold of to see how it fits my hand, hence why i'm leery of just buying one online without doing all my homework ;) I'm torn between the G9X and the RAT5 now mainly. I love the design of the RAT, but function > form. I've gone over the dimensions online of both of them, they are very similar... *sigh*
  5. no, i'm not referring anything. If you don't have the mindset to enjoy the particular method, you *will* get lower xp. As stated, not doing ZMI. As for familiar, as stated, less hassle, and the difference isn't worth it to me, as i make various stops at the G.E. while rc'ing, so costs start going up with dismissing/summoning. That, and i don't have the ideal summoning level, to have abby titan.
  6. It's not about the laps. I don't like the scenery + i get lulz from snippets of conversations @ Edge bank + an off chance see old friends. I don't enjoy zmi = mindset = lower xp anyways + not having fun = why do it in the first place? Just sayin :P
  7. I'm thinking of raising my RuneCrafting via Death crafting using the Abyss. Before i go any further, i have this to say: I WILL NOT ZMI!!! I would rather have lower xp per hour, ect, to trade off being able to (somewhat) enjoy what i'm doing. So don't even mention it, please. Just wondering on some xp per hour figures, and how much pure essence I could go thru per hour, fiiguring in optimal conditions (no pk'ers, don't fail access points) and that all glory's are charged and never forget to switch them out. Will be using the 3 lower pouches until 75, then all 4. Also, no familiar. I don't want the hassle lol. Also, any tips on how to make a faster abyssal run, asides from not eating sandwiches and talking to people in Edge bank? mmm, sandwiches... Or would doing something like, working @ law alter doing the crafting for faster xp, in tradeoff of not making money be worth it? (I'm not exactly sure if people even still do law running, or who even to talk to) Or is there a Death running world that I'm not aware of? I'm not really wanting to do astrals... kinda have my heart set on deaths till 77, then bloods 'til 99. somewhat oldschool, i know. but meh. to each is own, right? :P
  8. I just tested this myself. bought 50, opened 26 of them with ROW on. 5 Emeralds 3 Sapphires 1 Ruby 1 Tooth Half Key 1 Court Summons couple k gp (banked it before i remembered that i was going to post. :s Seems like a good investment to me! :)
  9. Fully support! I would love this skill, as this is a *skill* and could be used by soooooooooo many other skills! Construction, slayer, summoning, I mean, the possibilities are truly endless. And to think of the quests that could be incorporated into this!! So many things in Lore that could be explained by this skill, such as Wyverns, Dragonkin, and maybe even the mysterious bones in wildy (which i say are wyverns :P ). I remember reading this a couple years ago (just made tip.it acc a few weeks ago, but have read everything on this site for years) and after seeing how badly the last "skill" (dung) is killing runescape, this would be a welcome change.
  10. Lol thanks :P Aunt/uncle + a couple of their kids (my cousins) are all lawyers, so I've been around it a bit.
  11. Hmm... I'm going to mess with this. Since rs is low-bandwidth, TCP_NODELAY might be an option. However, i use the client, not browser, so not sure if it has it built in or not. I'll get back to you on it if i find anything interesting ~.~
  12. I guess to me, it is all somewhat subjective. While cultures are important, they shouldn't be presented in such a manner as to segregate a group/individuals from the whole of humanity. Any time someone tries to stand out from the crowd, they bring unnecessary pressure upon themselves and the group. That said, if no one was different, then what point is there in humanities existence? ~i am unique, just like everyone else~ To me, all I can say is, who am I to judge someone else? They can turn right back around and question me on my own values, and what ground do i have to stand on to say that I am better than them because I have a different value system because of my culture/how i was raised? I have seen life from both sides of the mirror on many subjects. My parents were/are very very very veryyyyyyyyyyy conservative in their views. As an example, anyone with a tattoo, or a woman that has more than 1 earring in each ear (not to mention any other piercings, or guys having them) are beyond taboo, they are "bad people" because of it. Yet I myself have multiple piercings (snakebites, septum, ect..), and have a couple major tattoos planned out for the near future (1 1/2 sleeves, and my entire back.) I understand where my parents stand on things, and yet I can take my own side on things. By my own choices, I disregard the value system they hold sacred. Does this mean I'm a bad person? I can't say that i'm anywheres near being the best person on the planet, but i'm no serial killer because of my piercings, ect. As for my heritage, whereas my parents have left it behind, i've delved deep into it and tried to find the best aspects of what was lost in the generation gaps and make myself a better person for it. One thing that i have gone above and beyond is in the area of Chivalry. To me, it's something that the world is lacking in too much, and if I can make a difference on even one person because of how i treat them, then I have a lifetime accomplishment. I could go on for a very long time on this subject, as it's something i hold dear to me. but, alas, I'm tired. :P
  13. Thats a great theory. Avalani = ava in draynor manor?
  14. NTY for chaotics. better slayer drops pl0x. ktnxbai.
  15. Thats what i was thinking.. o_O and seriously, over a h'ween and an amulet? No offense to any f2p'ers (<3 you guys, you make rs go 'round) but getting money for a h'ween, with say, 80's combat skills, you could make the money for that in a month easy, and that's not including even merching! I know a few people who used to kill drags in chaos tunnels for cash, @ 2m a day, you could get a h'ween in 2 months. Also, there is revs, which i have heard (never tried them myself) are up to 6m an hour. figure 20m a day, you could get one in a week. It's just sad to see how much people value a couple of pixels over someone elses life :| Maybe the parents should be dragged into this for lack of parenting? (yes, i know it's not always the parents fault, but wow..) I mean, seriously.. if someone needed an item *that bad* they should just ask people for help getting it. Right now i'm working on getting a friend a santa as a surprise, as she was hacked (legit hacked, i've known her for 8 years.) and hers was stolen, along with everything else on her acc. There are plenty of people on rs that will help another player if the ask nicely (not begging for phr33 st00f pl0x) I remember years ago on rsc, the first time i died, and i was devastated. I hadn't fully grasped the whole banking concept (i was like, 14 at the time, first time playing an online mmo) A guy, who i'm just gonna call "Yamaha" took me under his wing and helped me get going again. Showed me where/how to bank effectively, what i should kill to get my money back fastest, just a bunch of little things. Altho i have lost contact with that player for almost 9 years, his impression was great on me. If some lower level player is trying to save up tokkul for a fury, i have no issue partly killing some tzhaar and letting them get the drops so they can get the onyx faster. So in the end i have this to say: Whether the item is "jagex's" or "yours" or "someone elses," it doesn't really matter. If you care more about a couple pixels than your friends life, you need help.
