  1. Congrats Arceus! About time you made it there! Now as our new administrator, you should totally get us a confetti emoji to properly congratulate you. ;-)
  2. Around classic. And RS2 are my earliest memories. My dad played RS and I was just a kid back then. I got excited of the game so I played with my dad, sometimes on my own with his character. Then some years later, in 2004 I was experienced enough to play the game on my own, so I made my very first character (little did I know that I was destined to create 30 different characters afterwards). Was still a kid, but I could understand the English language better. After my dad stopped playing, I kept playing on his character, since I didn't want to lose the memory of me playing with my dad. After a while I realized it would become my "main" character to play. Played for a very long time straight., but I took a year break after EoC, then played until 2016 March or so and now I'm on a break again. Hoping to return once I get my life in order. Anyhow, enough about me. Welcome to the forums Aegis V! Hopefully you enjoy your stay. |^_^|
  3. Eh. Even though Tip.It might not be as popular as it used to be, I personally don't plan on leaving ever. This was my "home" when I started playing at almost the very beginning and it still is. There were a lot of other sites such as Tip.It; Like rune HQ, rune wiki etc. But Tip.It was the one that really touched my heart somehow. That being said, it hurts a bit to see the site being so quiet. There are many ways the site can be improved, such as updating the database more frequently and hosting Tip.It events in-game more often and keeping our relationship with JaGex closer are all advantages we should pursuit. However I've done that all and I admit it's not easy and it takes a lot of dedication, something not all of us have anymore. We have work, and families now. And as someone said in this thread, we don't attract new players as well as we used to. So problem is there's not enough people to look after the site to properly shout to the world that Tip.It is still alive with a sound beating heart. Another problem is the game itself. I personally lost interest with EoC. Then I came back, but I just never could get over the unfair game-play on playing on legacy mode. The new combat system was ridiculously OP and some of the content of the game demands you to have it, which sucks. Another letdown were the thaler system with the minigames, ruining all the fun. And if players don't play the game anymore, they have little reason to visit the Tip.It website, that's the cold truth. Still, we've made it this far. The website is still here, it's not deleted or anything. So there is still hope on making that comeback. It just requires a lot of work from a lot of people. Teamwork is the way to glory. And I one day intend to return yet again, to help the site grow. And I'm sure many others are eager to return as well, but real life has it's own toll.
  4. I pretty much solo-hosted until March: http://forum.tip.it/topic/332318-tmht-march-2016-3-event-day/ Sadly I couldn't go on, my life still isn't good enough that I could focus on RS at all. In addition I'm studying and working at the same time, so I have very little free time. I rarely come to Tip.It these days, usually only when I receive notifications via e-mail (like your post for example). If I ever manage to solve my life and get a good grasp of it, I will definitely try to host more TMHT events if possible. Until then don't give up hope TMHT! :shades:
  5. TMHT March 2016 Event day #3 This event day may still be a little scary; We will be wandering in the catacombs of Morytania... I want to introduce you the Barrows Brothers, and I think they are eager to meet you as well. After dwelling in the dark dungeons, we are going to the desert to get some sun. :shades: And visit the old Kalphite Queen. So, these are the schedule plans for our third event day. Feel free to join all of them if you like. Time and Date Date: Saturday, 26th March 2016Time: 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time).Other Time Zones: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016CET (Central European Time): 17:00/5PM 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016ACT (Australia Central Time): 01:00/1AM Sunday, 27th March 2016PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 09:00/9AM 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016MST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 10:00/10AM 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016CST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 11:00/11AM 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016EST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 12:00/12AM 16:00/4PM Saturday, 26th March 2016[pending]gre_1459008000[/pending] Friend Chat Comeback, you need to type in Hokuspokus (the FC's creator) to join. 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Barrows Brothers guidance; Give it a try if you've never been running Barrows runs, but interested in doing it. -This is personal combat, which means this can't be completed in teams, however it's possible to assist others by giving information & tips. -This is rated as a high-risk area. So don't bring anything that you aren't willing to lose. However I presume you can claim your items from Death for a relatively small fee, so you wont lose them. -Note that you must have completed Priest in Peril & Nature Spirit quests, in order to access this minigame. -Be aware that you can't use familiars in the catacombs.-Please make sure to take a look at our Barrows guide. It provides a lot of useful information & suggestions.-We will meet at the ol' good Canifis Pub. Can't get enough of their delicious, pickled brains-delicacy. 18:00/6PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Kalphite Queen. -There are no requirements to enter the queen's lair, but I suggest you have a minimal combat level of 70 and minimal level 60-70 armour.-Take a loot at our guide, even if it's a "little" out-dated, the same boss mechanics apply even till today.-As usual, this is a high risk area. So don't bring anything you aren't willing to lose. It's pretty rare these days to fail at KQ though, so I don't think it's going to be a problem, but still be careful. Anyone is welcome, so feel free to pop by for some fun in Morytania and/or in the Kharidian desert! :) PS. Remember to check your clocks! Spring is nearby and not sure when they are going to move the time by +1. This will be the last event I'll be hosting this month. Hopefully there was something interesting there for you. Have fun & good luck! |^_^|
  6. TMHT March 2016 Event day #2 This event day may be a little scary... But I'm sure everyone here likes to hang out with the undead sometimes, right? So, these are the schedule plans for our second event day. Feel free to join all of them if you like. Time and Date Date: Friday, 25th March 2016Time: 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time).Other Time Zones: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): 16:00/4PM Friday, 25th March 2016CET (Central European Time): 17:00/5PM Friday, 25th March 2016ACT (Australia Central Time): 01:00/1AM Saturday, 26th March 2016PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 09:00/9AM Friday, 25th March 2016MST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 10:00/10AM Friday, 25th March 2016CST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 11:00/11AM Friday, 25th March 2016EST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 12:00/12AM Friday, 25th March 2016[pending]pin_1458921600[/pending] Friend Chat Comeback, you need to type in Hokuspokus (the FC's creator) to join. 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Guidance to the Tarn's Lair mini-quest; This allows you to unlock the enhanced version of the Salve Amulet from the Haunted Mine quest; Salve Amulet (e). This amulet grants you additional combat bonuses when fighting undead monsters. -Note that you must have completed the Haunted Mine quest to have access to the enhanced version of the amulet. -This may be a little complex to explain, but assuming nothing has changed, you can also check the respective miniquest guide for the Salve Amulet (e): http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/tarns_lair.htm-This is somewhat dangerous, depending on your combat level. So don't bring anything you're not willing to lose.-The amulet is also useful for our next event of the day.-You will unlock a place where you can fight Terror dogs (8 spawns). These creatures are slayer monsters and can also be received as a slayer task.-We will meet at Canifis pub. 17:30/5:30PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Having fun together in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. This is purely for fun, since although fighting is involved, the actual combat is pretty straightforward. There are some experience and item rewards that make this activity more attracting. All you really need here is teamwork. :^_^: -Note that you must have completed the Shades of Mort'ton quest to have access to this minigame: http://www.tip.it/runescape/quests/view/78-shades-of-mortton -Please make sure to check the minigame guide (1st link, not to be confused with the 2nd, quest link). There's a lot of useful information you may want to know before heading to the minigame. -We will meet at Canifis pub. Anyone is welcome, so feel free to pop by for some fun in Morytania! :) PS. Remember to check your clocks! Spring is nearby and not sure when they are going to move the time by +1. In addition, there's more information about this month's other events coming soon.
  7. TMHT March 2016 Event day #1 As explained in the previous post, this day wont be a normal boss day event. This month's events are going to be a little different. These are the schedule plans for our first event day. Feel free to join all of them if you like. Time and Date Date: Sunday, 20th March 2016Time: 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time).Other Time Zones: GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): 16:00/4PM Sunday, 20th March 2016CET (Central European Time): 17:00/5PM Sunday, 20th March 2016ACT (Australia Central Time): 01:00/1AM Monday, 21st March 2016PST (US & Canada Pacific Standard Time): 09:00/9AM Sunday, 20th March 2016MST (US & Canada Mountain Standard Time): 10:00/10AM Sunday, 20th March 2016CST (US & Canada Central Standard Time): 11:00/11AM Sunday, 20th March 2016EST (US & Canada Eastern Standard Time): 12:00/12AM Sunday, 20th March 2016[pending]ora_1458489600[/pending] Friend Chat Comeback, you need to type in Hokuspokus (the FC's creator) to join. 16:00/4PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Introduction to the Dominion Tower; This tower consists of quest boss monsters. Doing activities in the Dominion Tower is highly suggested, since it awards players with items that are useful against both quest & non-quest bosses. -I will explain what this "minigame" is all about, how to play it and what benefits are there if you like boss hunting. It wont be just the theory, but you can and should try it out yourself to get the hang of it. -This is a safe minigame, so no need to worry about dying. In addition there's a bank chest in the tower where you can gear up before fighting the quest bosses. -The meeting place is at Al Kharid Palace. 16:30/4:30PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Introduction to the Soul Reaper task system; If you are interested in fighting boss monsters, then you'll definitely want to check out what Death has to offer for you. And no, he wont kill you, yet. :ohnoes: -The meeting place is at the Draynor Village market and you don't need to bring anything with you. ***The point of these two introductions is to simply share useful information with others.*** 17:00/5PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -Guidance to the Mogre mini-quest; This unlocks Mogres as a possible slayer task for you, yes there are "ogres" living in the sea. In addition you are able to unlock the crab pet via this mini-quest. -This is personal combat, which means this can't be completed in teams, however the fight should be easy. I suggest a minimal combat level of... 40... Maybe 50. -The meeting place is at Port Sarim Pub. 18:00/6PM GMT (UK Time) (In-game time): -King Black Dragon. -An easy boss to deal with in teams, so it's a good practice for starting boss hunters. See our KBD for more information: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/King_Black_Dragon_Guide.htm -The meeting place is at Edgeville's bank. Anyone is welcome to these small events, so feel free to pop by. :) PS. Remember to check your clocks! Spring is nearby and not sure when they are going to move the time by +1. In addition, there's more information about this month's other events coming soon.
  8. Arceus is correct, in addition, we already had a KBD event! :D You probably just had missed it out Randox. http://forum.tip.it/topic/331078-comeback-4-events/ Regarding the Shades of Mort'ton; I was thinking on hosting that event in it's dedicated world. I'd imagine people still do it and I enjoy it a lot too! :)
  9. The GE price seems to be ~500k. So only like 10% of what it used to be. Saradomin Godsword has also dropped. I remember it being 24m.
  10. Once you're done with the parts mentioned in the previous post, focus on the Salve amulet information (http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/596-salve-amulet): Create a hyperlink bridge between the amulet and the diary: http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/6673-tarns-diary Once you get to the enchanted version (http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/6674-salve-amulet-e): Create a hyperlink bridge between the amulet and the diary: http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/6673-tarns-diary Add a hyperlink to the normal version of the amulet: http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/596-salve-amulet
  11. http://www.tip.it/runescape/quests/view/83-haunted-mine quest has many parts that could be improved in terms of accessibility. How ever I'm just going to focus on the rewards part; Add a hyperlink to the Salve Amulet: http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/596-salve-amulet Add a hyperlink to the Shard, which is used to create the Salve amulet (+ you still need a ball of wool). http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/192-salve-shard Moving further. Once you get to the Salve Shard item information (http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/192-salve-shard) add a hyperlink to the ball of wool & Salve amulet: http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/3084-ball-of-wool (note you may want to add on the ball's information that it's also used to create the salve amulet) http://www.tip.it/runescape/items/view/596-salve-amulet
  12. Okay I'm going to honest. I lost the track of thought I had there. So I'll see if maybe later I get back the thoughts regarding the other things I said I would point out. ANYHOW. First of I suggest making an actual guide for the Mogre mini-quest. Instead of pasting all the info into the monster profile: http://www.tip.it/runescape/bestiary/view/554-mogre I mean, sure it's good to have the info there too, but we need an actual guide page for it, it just looks ridiculous right now. Image people image! This is not how Tip.It runs things! Right?? "Looks at Kalphite Queen guide"... Or maybe... <3: http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/minigames.htm Currently the minigame guide page takes you directly to the NPC profile, instead of a proper guide page.
  13. There are new events coming for March, I suggest you check them out if you're interested in low-mid level stuff: http://forum.tip.it/topic/331940-tmht-march-2016/
  14. The event is over! It didn't last for long, which was expected due to the bonus exp weekend, however we did get some desirable results; The 4 of us slayed the commander about 74 times. We were fighting there for a bit over 2 hours. Our notable drops were: -Starved ancient effigy. -Saradomin Sword. -Saradomin Hiss. Sadly the value of the sword & hiss are no longer as valuable as they used to be. I miss those old times when they were worth millions. :boohoo: We also got lot's of noted items such as unicorn horns, grimy ranarr, some snape grass... And of course FLAX! Yes we got flax too. :XD: Overall I think the event was successful, given the circumstances. I personally got tired with the whole double exp weekend, so bossing was more than welcome to me. Thanks for participating! :shades:
  15. TMHT March 2016 Plans Hi there! First of, I want to inform that a Kalphite King event wont be possible anytime soon. We require more people to practice with and they must have a minimal tier 70 gear. So if you feel up for it, please contact me or any of the other TMHT members. Once the training is complete and the dedicated team feels confident enough, we will be able to expand our variation of events we have to offer. Anyhow, I hope you have enjoyed our events so far. I have some ideas planned out for the next month so make sure to take a look in case you find something for you! ;) In the next month, March, we will be focusing low-medium levels (assuming no one else is hosting). There will be at least 2 events which consist of one of the following: -Giant Mole. -Kalphite Queen. -King Black Dragon. -Barrows Brothers guidance; Give it a try if you've never been running Barrows runs, but interested in doing it.* -Fight Caves guidance; By completing the Fight Caves, you are awarded the Fire Cape. Note that this is a very long fight and requires patience overall.* -Guidance to the Hunt For Surok mini-quest; This unlocks Bork, he's a quest boss monster whom you can fight once per day.* -Guidance to the Mogre mini-quest; This unlocks Mogres as a possible slayer task for you, yes there are "ogres" living in the sea. In addition you are able to unlock the crab pet via this mini-quest.* *This is personal combat, which means this can't be completed in teams, however it's possible to assist others by giving information & tips. -Guidance to the Tarn's Lair mini-quest; This allows you to unlock the enhanced version of the Salve Amulet from the Haunted Mine quest; Salve Amulet (e). This amulet grants you additional combat bonuses when fighting undead monsters. -Having fun together in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame. This is purely for fun, since although fighting is involved, the actual combat is pretty straightforward. There are some experience and item rewards that make this activity more attracting. All you need here is teamwork. :) -Introduction to the Dominion Tower; This tower consists of quest boss monsters. Doing activities in the Dominion Tower is highly suggested, since it awards players with items that are useful against both quest & non-quest bosses. ** -Introduction to the Soul Reaper task system; If you are interested in fighting boss monsters, then you'll definitely want to check out what Death has to offer for you. And no, he wont kill you, yet. :ohnoes: ** **This is simply an introduction and wont count as one of the TMHT events. Simply meet at the designated time and date for a brief guidance. Alternatively you can check it out yourself. The point is to simply share useful information with others. Looking forward to the events and I hope people will find out something cool and new to them. :shades: Cheers!
