1) was this necessary? 2) are effigies in the spirit of the game? 3) do you agree with the way jagex implemented their nerf? 1) Yes, but 1 month after releasing effigies not after close to 2 years of having them in game. 2)Yes. I found having effigy drops very exciting and being able to stock 70+ on the way to 99 slayer was a lot of fun and gave me a lot of fun discussion with friends. Plus having a bunch of effigies stored has given me the motivation to train my other skills. 3)NO I do not. As I mentioned above I believe if jagex has a problem with a recently implemented update then they should act on it within a month or two..not a year or two. Doing this just makes for a lot of angry players and rightfully so.

Lucky for you I recently priced out the cost from 89-99 making addy plates. It was 168m without taking into consideration the savings from the 'wastless smithing' dungeoneering scroll. Good luck on 99!

I play runescape as an escape from reality. I enjoy only having to worry about my virtual future and virtual attributes for several hours of the day. I also just plain find it fun :P.

I must say there has been a noticeable decline in "hosts" at the GE on random worlds. Of course the most popular worlds still have quite a few but it seems jagex has eliminated a large portion of gambling hosts with these updates.

Haha what are the chances of running in to you 10 minutes after I meet you in runescape :P. Its a small world after all.

Hi, lurked these forums for a while and just now I decided to join. I Started playing rs in 2002 and played until 2004 before quitting. After a 5 year hiatus I was drawn back in, became a member and have not looked back since. Currently my goal is to get the max cape and after that most likely completionist.
