If you right click the swiftkit icon and go run as admin it should load, you should only have to do this once.

Swiftkit should now update itself.

#5582427 Horrible Experience with SK

This relates to the issues we are having with our service providers who are currently being attacked, it's not our site specifically that is down it's a large chuck of our providers network.

What is happening is that the launcher is trying to update and can't reach our servers because of the attack. At the moment the vast majority of swiftkit users are experiencing the same difficulties however swiftkit will normally bypass the update process.

However because you are running swiftkit for the first time it needs to update in order to open as not all files etc are included in the install process.

I'm afraid there's not much we can do until our provider is back online.

In your swiftkit install folder there is a file called "links.ini" try deleting that file, that will then force swiftkit to update the stats lookup.

#5408970 Highscores not working, help

Posted by Simmo on 27 May 2013 - 07:25 AM

We have narrowed it down to an issue on Jagex side it is their servers not responding not and issue with SwiftKit. This should be resolved shortly. You will find other services like RuneScript or tip.it are facing the same issues.

#5379695 SwiftKit 07 World 1

Posted by Simmo on 13 March 2013 - 10:05 AM

No this would be in breach of the Runescape rules for third party clients, which sate

It must not bypass the normal navigation of our website for users wishing to reach the game worlds. The software should initially only point at the front page of our websites, and should require the user to navigate through the website normally to reach the game worlds. The software must not contain or acquire direct links to the game applet.

#5372732 Start up error

I would try deleting SwiftKit-rs[Caution: Executable File] from your install folder. This will force an update of it, with a bit of luck it will have resolved it.

#5348708 SwiftKit Suggestions

Posted by Simmo on 31 December 2012 - 04:32 AM

2. The idea is you should add a section on like where we can see how to make things. Like food, armour, weapons, but mostly food.

Tip.it now have a real neat mobile site, we may be able to link to their guides.

3. Another idea is like if you can.. Can you please make a section for us the users of your app to like chat and share our ideas tips, and like were we can help each other out.

This would certainly be possible as for the Andriod version we have socializes aspect to it already that allows you to comments on different things, it wouldn't be a full blown IRC chat, but the ability to post comments or tips i don't see why not.

#5337555 Need help to increase Java memory on Swiftkit

Posted by Simmo on 05 December 2012 - 11:20 AM

The reason it goes back to 256 is because jagex over ride it using the applet tag. This applys to all browsers not just swiftkit the reason why it works with the client is because they aren't able to force the 256 in the same manner
