  1. I guess I should have said that *I* have never been KO'd. In the last 120m or so xp I've only died when I've run out of food or prayer. Lifepoint bonus won't help either of those.
  2. Additional lifepoints in RS are good because it makes brews heal more and makes it harder to get KO'd. Salve eels heal the same regardless of your lp, and I don't see any suggestion that that will change. No one gets KO'd in dungeoneering except on shadow forger.
  3. So prayer and constitution don't affect combat level now? The new pures will train soulwars to 99 constitution/prayer, and keep attack and strength equal. Whelp. I'll probably start training my rune pure to another maxed account.
  4. Here, let me do the math. $7 of spins gets you 1 hour worth of agility xp. You can earn enough flipping burgers for SOF to be faster than real agility.
  5. I'd prefer a real money auction house like D3 has. Charge a 2-5% commission and call it good.
  6. The going estimate is that, as an uncommon item on the wheel, it is about a 1:50 chance of getting a fish mask. Jagex have already announced that they will be discontinuing the fish mask at the end of the summer. It's quite obvious that they are monetizing the game. At 1:50 rate, you're basically paying USD $1 for a fish mask (plus all the experience lamps). Just the gold alone is fairly competitive with the going rate on 3rd party gold selling, and the xp lamps probably make it better. Cash grab for sure.
  7. Especially because royal crossbow kind of messes up blood phase :P Switching to CCB during blood kind of loses all the benefit of the royal crossbow, because you'll spend 7 attack rounds with no dps again.

Still think it should be members who have X months on record and an active membership on the 1st. good idea. still keep it at 12 months but it shouldnt be consecutive. that would allow a lot more people to acces the beta which means more bugs found and what not. i dont see how restricting Beta testing to consecutive subscribers and 50k ppl is beneficial when it could easily have 200k + testing it Keep in mind the cost of running servers. In addition, current players are most likely to have a better understanding of the current state of the game.
  10. I would imagine that as time goes on (not accounting for inflation, bots, and whatnot), you'll start to make money faster. If not, you're doing something wrong. Most people never become able to make more than about 2-3m an hour. Even lowbies have access to some of the best mid-high income sources: herb farming and other dailies. Not everyone has the skill to sell leech or the intelligence to merchant. A lot of maxed players are very wealthy, but the majority of them have low incomes. The acceleration of your dungeoneering xp is greater than the acceleration of your wealth. In addition, gp can be exchanged for countless other goods, but dungeoneering tokens can only be exchanged for three things: chaotics and other items (which after you have them all you never need to buy again), xp (which after you have level 120 or 200m you no longer need to buy), and recharging chaotics. End game the tokens have literally one use - to "sell" for 90 gp each by recharging your chaotics.

However, eventually you will get to the point where you'll have tokens coming out of your ears and (even if you don't) can replace them much faster than you could replace the gp you would use to recharge. 1.8m gp will always (more or less) take the same amount of effort to earn, but as time goes on 20k tokens gets easier and easier. Go with tokens.
  12. If there's interest in testing this further, you can save some time and money by using a weaker spell. Accuracy is independent of spell, so just use windrush or something. Barrage costs much more and will kill your testing partner more often, slowing down data recovery.
  13. Perhaps no one else will tell you this, but hybrid fights are pretty much dead at all combat levels.
  14. As t->∞, the odds of you having less gp than when you started approaches 100%. This of course assumes that you will stake no matter what you are at. If you can stop yourself from staking when you get under, say, 100m, you would obviously never get to 0m. I've met dozens of stakers who say they are "smart" and never "rage stake". I've met others who set aside a portion of their winnings and "will never stake that". Invariably both groups are unable to control themselves and end up getting cleaned.
