Umm, to prevent the overflow, add either add some more flour or tapioca (it's rather amazing in pies actually!) to help absorb the excess liquid and if you're finding it too runny still, try to stay away from open topwork (lattice for example) and stick with a closed top crust until you figure out the necessary proportions so no leaking occurs. Also, always have a drip pan under anything you have in the oven... makes clean up so much easier! [hide=plain cake] [/hide] [hide=cinnamon cake with chocolate-chile frosting (buttercream melting :()][/hide] [hide=first attempt at lattice work... I've gotten better, I swear!][/hide] [hide=can't remember if i posted this or not: honey-lemon pound cake with lemon icing][/hide] OMG those cakes are so cute >.< Especially the honey-lemon cake. As for me, I'm eating right now, New York Super Fudge Chunk Ice cream by Ben & Jerry's. They are the best EVAR!
I wear whatever I feel like, depending on my mood. Sometimes it's just a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, sometimes it's dressy-casual, sometimes I just feel like bumming it in sweatpants and a hoodie. Very rarely will I wear a dress or skirts. (I did wear a nice dress on Thanksgiving though, I felt like being a pretty pretty princess ^_^ )
Since when did a Chinese restaurant carry sushi? I dunno. I've seen a few places around here that do though. But this is the best place I've been to by far.
The Little Mermaid Ninja Turtles (the first one) Who Framed Roger Rabbit? I think I wore out our VHS of The Little Mermaid when I was 6. Either that or my mother threw it out because she was sick of me watching it so much. All I know is that one day it disappeared.
I had sushi and orange chicken for dinner last night. There's this Chinese food place down the street from my house that has an awesome sushi bar. My fiance wasn't in the mood for sushi until after we ordered, so we decided to split everything in half. It was good stuff. EDIT: Here's what I had for dinner tonight: [hide=PIZZA!][/hide]
This reminds me of a story out of NH that I heard about on the radio last month. (links are here and here) I've said it before (maybe not here) and I'll say it again, you cannot blame the media for people's psychosis. It doesn't matter if it's music, video games, or movies. The people who commit these crimes need to take responsibility for their own actions. Did you know that in 9 out of 10 cases, the people who start this whole "blame the media" thing are actually the defense attorneys? It's basically taking the blame off of the criminal! It's ridiculous. Also, what's funny is that the lady on the radio who I heard about this story from called the genre "new". I should have called in that day and told her that just because it was under her radar doesn't mean it was new to the rest of the world. Then again, I don't like that lady. It's on this talk radio station that my fiance listens to. He doesn't like her much either.
The only concerts I've ever been to were ICP shows. But they do put on a hell of a show. Just feeling the energy at them is awesome. I actually went to a show a couple weeks ago. They had HED-pe there and stuff. It was awesome. I only have one problem with concerts: I can't do mosh pits. Panic attacks FTL.
Let's see, a slew of mental health problems on my mother's side, not to mention Diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems. On my father's side, heart problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and certain cancers.
