  1. ---------------------------------------------------- Explanation of convo: I was talking with a friend about price changes in stuff, like guthans. And this guy came to said he could trim armour with lvl 51 smith. I ignored him and chatted with a friend whose grave was worth 500k - the angel of death gravestone. the scammer insisted that he could train armour with lvl 51 smith and 82 mining. he soon gave up on trimming armour and asked to wield another guy's dharok axe - that guy had full dharok. okay, now the scammer turns to me and asks to wear my party hat for a few secs. he claims he's a jagex mod. here's where i made my mistake. with my friend beside me, and after he having attempted to scam those around me, i began to get impatient and switched to teasing the scammer. i joked with my friend that i was a jagex mod as well ... and asked for the scammer's password. there ... and a passerby reported me immediately after seeing that i had a red partyhat. i believe that conversation / evidence was not complete and was authored. to frame me lol. it was "cut off" right after "dont report me" because the next thing i said was "im jkin" ... i'm sure the mod did read that. what's wrong with being rich? ---------------------------------------------------- There ... I got FIVE black marks for imitating a scammer who claimed that he was a jagex mod. IMITATING. joking with a friend and teasing a scammer ... and i got five black marks with six days mute. I'm not angry about the mute punishment. I'm furious however, that they denied my appeal within two minutes, and gave me an earlier trade restriction. I have 300m+ locked in my account now ... I'm buying santas ... but they are going for 19. 5 to 20.5 when the "market price" jagex assumes santas to be are 21.5+ i'm buying two santas. so that means paying four million more. i'm being punished for something i did not do? Password scamming? My foot ... FOUR years of clean slate, of zero marks, and this is what i get for my first time? Five marks for innocence?
  2. cape design: firecape / slayer skill symbol: prayer emote: agility trimmed: yes
  3. ^^ +1 won't that put all of Jagex's hard work of creating the three gods go to waste? yea. i agree that jagex has indeed limited itself with the 99 capes. haha, so won't that mean that no matter what kind of equipment that jagex brings out, its still can't be any better. unless it requires lvl 80 or 90 stats. but this new kind of interface would greatly restrict members of a race from doing a quest that requires you going across the enemy line. And also, treasure trails. hmm. and what if the evil race fully exterminates all humans and grabs all their cities? lol. if jagex wants to put this idea into use, they would need to think more.
  4. If jagex wants to earn much more, they could sell pin cards world-wide. Buy one card, scratch it, enter the pin no. into runescape and you get one month. Great idea for those whose parents dun allow them to get membership but still want to sneakily get one. some games do that and yea, they earn pretty much. ^^ idea to consider. back on topic: yes, we should get updates. not so often. like they said, 2 updates per year is fine enough for me. 1. more bank space? 2. more money-making methods - while p2p can strike it rich easily through nature runecrafting, fletching, barrowing, kq and merchanting members items, f2p can only merchant non member items, get rune drops ( med helm is like 10k only ) and so on ) but still. im extremely happy that jagex hadn't remove rares from the f2p market, or make it a members item only. i would lose alot. haha. but perhaps, if they did make it members only, the prices will rise steeply and all i need to do is to become members for one mth and weee, cashie cashie. while i got to lvl 63 in three days and completed dragon slayer in a week, i really feel that there shouldn't be any more quests. it's pretty much useless and meaningless to introduce new quests to the already dead f2p. give us something more useful. like for example ... graphics! that would seriously attract more f2pers and p2pers to generate revenue. more monsters could be good too. haha. i feel that we f2pers do not need to be ashamed of being called "people who play the demo version" while we look up at those who "play the game". or if you want to look at it another way - f2p ( play the game ), p2p ( play the expansion ). f2pers kinda have alot of respect from p2pers. we have to deal with the macroers, fight for resources, put in double the time to earn combat exp, put in triple the time to max out skills and in prayer, pay 4 times the money to get 13 mill exp. also, earning money in f2p is so hard that if you are even slightly rich, you are to be respected. so that is the best thing we f2pers can ever have and enjoy that.
  5. ... you reminded me of myself. i was stuck on tutorial island making bread all day long. almost quit because of boredom. until another lvl 3 brought me out and told me that making bread and getting high cooking wasn't all there was to runescape.
  6. let me help my friends lol. microtosh - lvl 105 ( me ) psychicher - lvl 103 chenlin2004 - lvl 126 japheth_haha - lvl 97 locktar91 - lvl 103 weiliang859 - lvl 120 jiakai189 - lvl 123 all proudly 16 years old, Singapore, Asia, from Raffles Institution. Hurray.
  7. 1. merchanting 2. smithing steel 3. mining rune why? merchanting is fastest in f2p although it will need some debating in p2p. in f2p, we do not have nat crafting, yew fletching or much profitable items to alch. we do not have good drops, just merchanting. and no, i don't merchant trimmed armour as it is pretty slow. smithing steel gives you good forging exp. but still its boring and SLOW. you want mining rune? sure. only a few rocks for you to choose from in f2p and with the very very slow rate. hmm.
  8. It has been agreed, in a large MMORPG convention, that the only thing that makes WoW seem better than Runescape is the graphics. + 1. if jagex would to have a huge massive update that would equal its graphics to that of WoW ... blizzard would lose much of its income. but still, it is mostly impossible. we are looking at jagex and its game engine which is based on java. on topic: i think there are just enough skills. not too little for over 50% of the population to finish the game. but not too many to congest our game screen. but don't you think its getting albeit squeezy in our cosy inventory?
  9. thx. but they havent added in the info yet.
  10. HOw much do we get from high alch-ing tiaras?
  11. i got a santa. or maybe 7 santas actually. an easter egg as well. two easter eggs if i morph into one with my ring. =P i plan to sell my santas when they are 100 mill ea. yay. lol, and im a merchant and got them purely in f2p. been playing for e3 yrs though and my stats stink/ are poor.
  12. tsk tsk. i wanted to make a security stronghold giant spiders guide too. but since you did it before me, i can only offer you great advice. 1. you don't need strength potions. in the long run, its practically useless 2. why tele runes? running to edgeville bank is closer than varrock bank. and its a pure waste of time 3. eh. no gloves pls. wear green dragonhide vambraces instead. more defence bonus. 4. rune scimmy pls. its the best weapon for training. all in all a good guide. now for me to preach you guys about breaking rule 9 - afk training. ( don't flame me. its not really afk ) ok. aggressive spiders are good training on. non-aggressive arent. and i bet you guys knew it while training there. so to get them aggressive, stay at the first room you enter after climbing down the ladder and crossing the doors. when they become non-aggressive, run to the north-east doo/corner. pause. run to the north-west door/corner. pause. run to the south corner. pause. run back to the center. tada. they are aggressive again. isn't afk training is it? im not really telling you guys how to afk train. whether you want to stay at the keyboard is your choice. and you aren't autoing or macroing nor having extra advantages. pls remember to credit me \ on a more serious tone. put what i have said in your guide and add some more pics and it should be a good enough guide to enter AoW. I gained 6 combat lvls through this method.
  13. can't you do treasure trails? =D> either continue on spinning flax. its at least 50 gp profit per bowstring as you have already known. or you merchant. merchant god armour or dragon stuff. or whips if you are richer. but since you only hav 1.2 mill, stick to god armour or dragon med helms .... i will suggest you do iron ores though. its simple and easy cash for beginner merchants.
