  1. The launcher still doesn't work for me. I'm not sure about RuneScape not loading because I don't play RS anymore, but I still use SK for IRC and for screenshots.
  2. I am also getting Mike's problem now. I click the SwiftKit icon to launch it, but that one pre-window freezes immediately. This has been happening to me since yesterday.
  3. Hello everyone, I am posting here to share The History of RuneScape PDF documentary that I released in July. I am not sure if this is the right forum, but the PDF might fall under "creative work". A little bit of information: The PDF is 324 pages long and describes in great detail the development of the game since DeviousMUD. The RuneScape History Project, as it was called prior to its release, started in 2011 as a relatively short thread on the RuneScape forums. Then a little later I posted a second version which spanned 39 pages on the RS forums. The PDF is essentially a third version, but more elaborate and with attention to more topics. Below is a screenshot of the PDF's contents: Over sixty people have helped me during the creation of this PDF and its prior RS thread versions. I was fortunate to be able to interview quite a few notable people for it, such as Andrew Gower, His Lordship, Jebrim, Lilyuffie88, Rab, Suomi, Tks, Water, Whitemagem, Zarfot and many more. The public release of the PDF took place on 26th July on my Twitter account (@RsHistoryJuly), where I still post new tweets every now and then. Thanks to being retweeted 50+ times, it took just a week for the PDF to accumulate 10k unique views (IP-based). So far I have received a lot of positive feedback, so I am sure that you would enjoying reading it. One of the reasons why I wrote this PDF is to teach the RS community about the rich history that this game has, so I hope to be able to share it with as many people as possible. :) If you are interested in this PDF, you can access it by going to my Twitter profile (@RsHistoryJuly - click) or by using the direct link below: http://rshistory.com/downloads/TheHistoryOfRuneScape.pdf Have fun reading it. :) ~July
  4. Hello there everyone! I would like to share some great news: I have released an official video for the project today. It can be watched here: (Make sure to watch in HD and on YouTube itself because I messed up with the video dimensions!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDNimNFLsa8 Please share it with your RS friends. :)
  5. Hello there everyone, I am July and in a few months I will release a PDF about the history of RuneScape. In order to make the e-book more enjoyable to read, I have been planning to use screenshots every now and then. If you are interested in submitting RSC screenshots, your RSN will be mentioned in the credits of the PDF and each individual screenshot will be referenced to in the list of sources. More information about the PDF/written documentary can be found either by searching for 'RuneScape History Project' on Facebook or by reading the thread on these forums (http://forum.tip.it/topic/326956-runescape-history-project-officially-on-fb/). Important: all screenshots must be your own and must be authentic RSC screenshots from the period 2001-2004. The intention is to avoid copyright infringement, which means that I must be given permission by all of the screenshots' owners to make use of the screenshots. By posting screenshots in this thread, you formally confirm that you are the original owner and that you grant me permission to use the original or an adapted/edited version in the documentary. - Names can be censored on explicit request. Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing your screenshots! Kind regards, July
  6. Hey there everyone I was actually looking for the "Advertise your thing here" thread, as mentioned in the forum rules, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I hope that this forum is the correct place to post this thread. A long-term process is about the reach its conclusion. In a few months I will release the RuneScape History Project (free e-book/PDF) that started in 2011 as a thread on the RS forums. I realised that many people in this community might be interested in this topic considering that Tip.it is a relatively old fansite. A few days ago I publicly released the official Facebook page for the project. You can find it by searching for "RuneScape History Project" or by following this link: https://www.facebook.com/RuneScapeHistoryProject Some easy-to-read information about the project: -ETA: Early 2015 -Format: (Free) PDF -Pages: Estimated at 250-350 pages -Description of how DeviousMUD became RuneScape 3 I hope that this is indeed the correct place to post this thread. Feel free to head over to the Facebook page, where I will regularly be interacting with you once there is a bigger audience. Kind regards, July ________________________________________ Official RuneScape History Project video: (Make sure to watch in HD because I messed up with the video dimensions!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDNimNFLsa8
  7. Hello everyone, My name is July, I have been playing RS for quite a while now and my main interest is the history of RuneScape as a game (not the storyline of Gielinor). In 2011 I posted a highly successful RuneScape History thread on the Runescape forums and I am currently working on a new version. More information can be found on my Tip.It profile page. As for RS itself, I have Overall level 2595 and I am about to hit 1b Overall xp. My favourite skill is Agility and I currently have 108M xp in the skill. The highest Agility rank I held was rank 12 in 2009. I hope to meet some veteran RuneScape players on these forums, who would like to share their personal RuneScape stories and memories with me. Kind regards, July
