Been a f2p pker my whole rs career and have definitely realised that scimmys are better for that. For PvP (whatever little we have left), that one speed is one food able to be eaten by your opponent. So you can pull out an extra 2 damage with the long sword, the bloke you're fighting has just eaten and now he's 20hp points up on you because your weapon was too slow and allowed him to eat twice in between your single hit. Dragon long special is clearly better but in all honesty, that's for 4 hits and probably won't even kill your opponent. For the rest of the fight, you're stuck with a weapon that hits slow enough for the guy you're attacking to eat basically twice between each of your hits and that's where it's won and lost ;)

Yeah i saw this coming a few months ago but recent updates have pretty much settled it. I completely agree with you on this one and imo its just a matter of time and when jagex have the balls to go through with it... I still don't see why jagex hate real world traders... they have memberships and who gives a [cabbage] if they sell money... They make $20 for 10 hours work? Thats slave labour lol

I think that was an awesome post. Countless "mains" absolutely hate pures and i can understand this as what they see is the bunch of noobs and no-honor guys that hang around edge and hills - because i hate those guys too. It's when you see the honorable and pure clan side of things that your opinion on pures change. I've been in a pure clan called The Fallen for about one and a half years and i classify each and everyone of the people in the clan as a friend. The pure community is terribly hard to describe but i just love it much more than the "main community"... I have no idea why but i do. This name (w0g_B01) was my main back in rsc and back when i made this account on tip it, but for the last 3-4 years, i havent even touched him. I've been involved in pure clans because i just love the community and the thrill of a pure clan war. You guys may think pure clan wars are a bore because they last like 10 minutes max. I like to think of pure clan wars as being a sped up version of main ones. Pure clan wars are all skill and speed. A battle plan is a split second decision in a pure war and thats how we go about it. Organisation is everything. If you don't get the first few kills and are organised during that time, you've lost. The first few seconds can decide the whole match. With main wars, you can sit there for 3 hours and not even take a single bit of damage if you want but i see no fun in that. I stick around pure clans for the awesome community, not only from my own clan but all other out there too. All show respect for one another and thats what honestly counts in my opinion. There aren't really any alliances in the pure world and i like that. Every clan is an individual and stands up for their members and what they believe in (yes this is getting kind of corny sorry :P). I would never leave the pure world for the main one. Even though the wildy is becoming dead and staking is already dead, 80% of pures only stick around for their clan and i think thats what its all about. P.S. Your top 5 pure clan list is kinda wrong but who cares :P -s0nic_s0ul (my pure :P)

If you put protect item on at the last second before you die, it doesn't work... that may be what happened to you cause i know it has happened to me before :D... dum protect item....
