  1. UPDATED! A little more info is needed. Please try to post something somewhat similar to everybody else. Hells_box, nice collecting! I'm not up to adding more non-tradeables unless something along the lines of rune defenders come out again. Its just a hassle, sorry. Remember: If you don't see your collection or your change, post here to remind me. If I miss it twice, message me here. I'm getting senile in my old age. :boohoo:
  2. Nobody else sees the irony of this being recorded and posted by an obvious flax bot as if they were legitimately liking the "bans"? :-w EDIT: *Looks up* Okay, one person did. :XD:
  3. UPDATED! Master_Smither: Yay, my assumption ended up being correct. Wee. Anywho, you don't need a gp pic with your name because you are the first "real" entrant. The next person needs a full page pic and a small, editted pic to place on the gp total thing. :P Bini -------------- 124 Frog Tokens Added. Sabre needs a pic to overtake an untradeable collection. Umm... I don't remember if these are tradeable or not. If they are, say so and I will add to the normal collection. If not, post a pic and you will be the sacred oil collector :P (This will be calculated by dose and not number of potions, btw.) You can post as many collections as you like, but you have to pick your favorite to be entered into the list. :)
  4. UPDATED! Close enough. :P An exact number of c balls would have been better (I just assumed it was 000 at the end, hehe. And the gp total pic should have had a name on it, but it doesn't matter for the simple fact that your entry is the first "real" entry for the gp total (I just did mine to show the format). The total number of items collected (not including gp, of course) is well over 700,000! Nice collecting folks. \
  5. I hope you don't mind, but I editted my answers in: To give weight to your whole argument, I suggest not ending with a weak and frivolous statement. It just detracts from any valid points that you may have made previously. You are obviously somebody who views your combat level as your "sword" in my example before. Unless, of course, you complained and whined this many months after every single equivalent NON-combat update... People like you view combat as your "sword" and non-combat as something frivolous, such as your "mind". And please understand, that isn't as insulting as you think. If you were to ask your average man (with women it might be their... "platebodies"?) whether he would like his "sword" bigger or his mind expanded, most would pick a larger sword to swing (platebody to wear). While there is nothing wrong with either choice, we differ in that I am a mind ("helm", lol?) man, while you are a sword man/woman/child (don't know and it doesn't matter). You just need to take a step back and ask yourself your motivations and the reasons behind them. P.S. Be back later! (As in... Monday or Sunday, lol)
  6. Pure solid genius. I agree wholeheartedly. Using it in this manner is hardly wrong, per se, but I do think that it is the only aspect of the minigame that could merit any valid controversy. Would I change it? Absolutely. Is doing any legal activity in runescape immoral in any way whatsoever? Absolutely not. P.S. Nice pun with my name, lol. :XD:
  7. Wrong, badly thought out. Just because people missed the changing of 2000k to 200k doesnt make them greedy! Like I said earlier, it's not the victim's fault, it's the scammer's! The victims just need to learn to pay a little more attention. So, it is the scammer's fault that the scammee does not check the second window and protect themselves? Please tell me you are joking. When does responsibility start and blaming others for YOUR mistakes end? The final click that loses your items was made by YOU not them. How can you blame anybody else in the world for what amounts to your own stupidity, greed, or whatever?
  8. I don't see any game benefit for using the fishing guild. The only defendable reason is conversation (though I have yet to be impressed there). The only reason I fish sharks is so that I can catch that dang big one and stuff it. Once I do, I won't fish sharks again. Monks or trout/salmon are superior in every way. Sharks should only be fished by the quest-light or the big-shark-less. Fish for xp, do things that actually make over 200k an hour for gp.
  9. Hypocrite - 1. A person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. Not all of what you mentioned is hypocritical. For example, lying is not hypocritical. Lying and claiming to be a saint is, however. Being a hypocrite is a choice; something you have control over. Where your mind wanders is something you cannot control. It is impossible to say that your mind has NEVER wandered into "evil" or "immoral" territory because you simply cannot control your thoughts at every moment of every day. Claiming that thinking of stealing somebody's items or scamming is wrong, hypocritical, or "immoral" is simply illogical. Doing something wrong, being a hypocrite, or committing an immoral act (in game or out) all entail actual ACTIONS taking place; not the thought of those actions. Otherwise, it would be just to jail somebody who THOUGHT of murdering somebody else, even though they had no intention whatsoever to do so. With all of that being said, this is an interesting topic. I, as some of you have surely figured out by now, am an odd cookie. I enjoy doing things that have no point except for the sake of doing them. Here are some of the strange things that I enjoy on occasion: I enjoy fake-pking. This is when I attack somebody in the wilderness until they are about 50% life. Then I trade them monkfish. Most of the 40 or so times that I have done this, they trade me, eat the fish, and watch as I follow them to safety (acting as a suicide body guard). Why do I do this? I guess I would have to say that I enjoy the feeling that it would give me to be in their shoes. They are sure that they are about to lose at least a long walk (I don't attack skulled players in case they are actually carrying something of value), then they get the elation of realizing that not only are they not going to die, but they have a 100+ body guard on the way to their destination. I've experienced this combination of feelings before and it makes the day a bit more exciting. I've stopped doing this because I accidently killed another player (at least he only lost his bones) with two high 20 specs when they were at about 70% life. It is only fun for me when nobody actually gets hurt. Abyss pker pking. It is so much fun to slaughter people like that. Why them and not random walkers? Because, they are selfish. The gain that they make from a kill (~60k or so?) is far, far less than the price they cost the one they kill (not the loss of gear/weapons, but the time required to regain pouches that weren't dropped in time). I enjoy scammer scamming. I don't actually go through with the trade (even though they deserve it and worse). It is rather easy to notice scammers in world 2 (selling things for over 20% less than everybody else around them). I start the trade, watch as they switch their items around (dragon bones to big bones is a common example), and put up 10% of the price they were asking. Because they are so used to being the scammer, they instantly accept. I agree to the first window and then watch tv. After usually a minute or more, they notice the error, and close the trade. I don't actually complete the scam, but BOY do they freak out when they almost lose their precious, scammed gp. If slayer drops are being nice, and forums are being mean, sometimes I go on f2p suicide runs. I'll equip some random addy and rune gear before heading into a f2p world. Then I run into multi-way combat zones with snares. I skull, then run around in circles snaring people as they try to team up on me. With my defense level, and okay gear f2p-wise (usually rune large, addy plate, rune legs, and rune scimitar) it takes them ages to use up all of my lobs. This USUALLY ends up leaving my pile for the smartest player and not the strongest one. The stronger ones tend to run straight at me and enjoy the caress of a snare, while the smarter ones dodge around and usually get a couple hits in before I can snare them as well. It costs me a <100k to have a little fun and reward an intelligent pker. If you search my threads, you will see many examples of my sick obsession with challenging common held beliefs or striving to find quick/maxed out versions of day-to-day tasks (barrows, construction, etc.) I guess this is due to my innate curiosity in things undiscovered or otherwise done in ways less than their most actualized. Hmm, that is all I can think of off the top of my head. Back to the topic: I have said that my friend's list was full before. Why? Because it was. :P The only time that I ever lie (on purpose; I can't really be blamed if I say that it is 47 degrees outside and it is actually 46.8239874 degrees now can I?) is when it saves somebody pain. If somebody wants to chat, and I don't or am too busy to, I will give them the honest answer. If they seemed miffed, I will make up an excuse so that they do not feel hurt. Why? Because it is not feasible to go into a detailed explanation for each and every person using runescape's very limited chat ability. I don't have the time nor patience to delve into 8 truncated lines of text of explanation and, knowing my verbosity, I would end up confusing and/or hurting their feelings. And both my friend's list and ignore list are nearly always full, so when I am saying that they are, they are. To my knowledge, I have not done anything else on that list. When it comes to pking, if I am actually in the wilderness to pk (very rare), I mimic what they do. Not because I feel any obligations to follow any supposed "rules", but because I want my kills to be on as fair a footing as possible. When I am in the wilderness and NOT pking, I do everything in my power to avoid death. Eat, pray, tele, whatever that is legal by Jagex's rules. My items won't drop easily.
  10. First, if you get scammed (in a manner that you have control over; people getting slaughtered in people's houses and then getting booted, while a scam victims, are not at fault due to the fact it was bug abuse) it is your fault. Sorry, but your greed, lack of attention, greed, ignorance, greed, impatience, and/or greed (which one do you think I think is the most common reason?) caused the scam to be completed. You deserve to lose whatever you lost. I was scammed once in my early days of runescape (lost about 1/2 of my bank's value... for a grand total of 20k), through a combination of ignorance and impatience (the "sorry lag" scam), and I deserved it. I was guilty and was justly punished. Yes, of course I was miffed, but I took it in stride AND LEARNED FROM IT. If you are repeatedly scammed, you might want to... oh, I don't know... LEARN YOUR LESSON! Think of it this way, would you rather be duped out of runescape pixels, or out of real dollars/euros/yen/whatever? Take the hit to your pride, learn you lesson, and drive on. With that being said, SCAMMERS DO NOT DESERVE WHAT THEY SCAM FROM YOU! Yes, paradoxical, I know. Scammers are low-lifed, immature, selfish losers, and deserve to be BANNED at the VERY FIRST offense. Period. No exceptions. Ever. If there were a way to completely withdraw the privilege of using the internet from these people, I would be the first in line to vote for it. I think that would be a nice lesson for them to learn. To have such a lack of compassion and empathy, to lack simple, common morals, and to thrive off the displeasure of others is just plain sick and pathetic. OH, to meet you in a dark alley... (but yeah, I'm nuts) In summation... Scammers scam because they (most, if not all, of the following): are lazy are selfish lack empathy lack compassion are stupid (do not understand what they are doing *rare*) are greedy have a sick psyche (they enjoy causing pain) You (all scammees, not just the OP) deserved to be scammed because you (at least one, and up to all of the following): were greedy weren't paying attention were impatient were ignorant Please make sure that all of the "were"s above are actually "were"s and are not "are"s...
  11. UPDATED! Changed the format (and added credit where credit is due) which made the submission format easier. If you have submitted something and don't see it, please re-read the rules. The most common mistake that I am seeing now, is people are submitting more than one tradeable collection. The max number of collections you can have is 1 for highest gp total, 1 for freak show, 1 for normal collections, and 1 per untradeable collection. Being on every single collection would be pretty dang impressive.
  12. I just had to get full, so I did. Took 3 days and well over 600 trips. Ended up with: I was not happy about the drop rate... I noticed two things, one of which is a bug (which I reported and did not receive a response for =; ) 1. While I was doing this I checked my total people saved on both sides and it was about 350 combined. Four hours later, the server crashed (mid combat). I logged back in, and was in the exact same spot, with everything in my inventory and bank the same, but the event I was in was restarted (nail beasts when I was collecting 50 nails to try out the pots). Everything looked as expected. When I checked my total people saved, the combined total was only 250. So, it either resets at some number (doubtful), or it lost a huge portion of my total during the crash. I don't know if I was the only one, so feel free to check yours and tell me if my experience was unique. 2. To all of you people claiming that you have more than one full set, you are either lying, or you brought your lumberjack top, and dropped it every time you started killing the zombies (which I do not know whether or not would even work). Why do I know this? Because I too wanted bank slot savers and kept running it. The zombies stopped dropping pieces of lumberjack clothing and started dropping things such as cooked snail meat. If you already have full lumberjack either worn or in your inventory/bank, no more pieces of lumberjack will drop.
  13. This would take a massive setup, hordes of riches (nats mostly), and would require many people giving up a ton of time for you... but: 2000 people in a server. (You could do with less, but it would take even more time) They do the Alchemist's Playground in the Mage Training Arena. They give all of the gp to one person (about 100mil total). You log in, take the gp, and turn it in. 200mil mage xp in about 4 seconds? EDIT: FOR SHAME!!! I've been gone too long. Good fix, though. I guess it WAS technically the fastest xp in the game ever, though.
  14. *Didn't read the middle 3 pages, shoot me* Warning! Lots o' dem squigglies and groopt up squigglies is acomin' yer way, so if you can't handle makin' senz o' dem, you mayhaps want to skip all that thar reedin' stuffs and just assoom I'm rite. Immoral? That is BEYOND a stretch. Go figure that I am taking ethics when I read this. Morality does not enter into training speed for a game... Seriously, people... The "evil" of PC is faster speed in which you level, correct? So, by inverting this, to be "moral", one cannot utilize anything that speeds up training a significant amount. That is using simple logic, so please do not tell me that you can be a "moral" player and still use any "immoral" training methods. You delude yourself if you think you can (morality is black or white, bub; an action is either moral or immoral, as is a chosen path in life), and you delude yourself even further if you cling to the equivalent of VHS, eight tracks, and cassette tapes (am I that old already? :-$ ) to retain your delusionally superior "morality". For all of you who think PC is "immoral", please tell me that you do NOT use any of the following: Cook-x String-x Altars for prayer leveling (in fact, you only bury big bones and nothing else, right?) Whip Barrows D wc axe Black Mask Ancients Chins Lunars Cannons If you use A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE, or ANYTHING since the game was FIRST released, you are a "X-product", where "X" is anything introduced since RSC was FIRST released. This stems from YOUR OWN LOGIC that people are PC-products since they use one of the MANY training aids introduced since Runescape first started. Seriously, people. THINK about it. Unless you use SOLELY the tactics first introduced into the game, you are an "X-product". Call me a PC product. Call me a Cook-x Product. Call me anything you like. I don't care. Why? Two reasons. 1. My self-worth is derived from things in life slightly more important than the words and opinions of somebody who refuses to use their brain. 2. I'll enjoy out-leveling you because I have learned to adapt to a game with WEEKLY UPDATES!!! I think the biggest issue with PC is that it is combat. The people who whined and complained about cook-x and altar burning (or whatever the term for that is currently) were minute compared to those who whine and complain about PC. Why? Because combat stats are the... umm... how do I put this delicately?... Combat stats are the... err... "male equipment" of your character. "My sword is bigger than your sword" or what have you. PC has caused so many people to throw tantrums because their... "swords" can be out-..."biggered" or matched with less effort than previously. That is the largest distinction, and reason for, the varied levels of complaining about non-combat and combat training updates. If there were an update to an incredibly slow-to-train non-combat skill, such as runecrafting, on the scale of PC (oh wait, whats this thing called "The Abyss"?) there wouldn't be (and there wasn't) the outcry at the level there is today (not to mention the fact that PC is OLD but is still being complained about regularly). People do not want their most evident "status symbol" (hey, I figured out a better phrase, finally) being trumped so easily and are therefore unreasonably and unfairly biased against "PC Products". The game evolves and you either adapt or become as archaic as your delicious rune two-hander. Choose the way of the dinosaurs or the way of cockroach (how many millions of years have THOSE dang things adapted?) But what the hell did you expect?! That your precious 99's would always be as hard to obtain for others as they were for you? In a game that updates so often? Alch your whip. Drop your cannon. Never cook or fletch bows again. If you don't, you can't call yourself "moral". Enjoy your delusions of grandeur. I'll enjoy my levels.
  15. I was just about to update this thread when I saw this. PLEASE tell me what you are referring to and how to do it. I'll update the other stuff in the mean time. EDIT: Updated! If you do not see your collection, read the rules and make sure you submitted it correctly. If you did, message me because I am an idiot and missed your collection, hehe. Updating the rules also, please read them.
