First we complain about updates not catering to every subcategory of players, now we complain when they include a wider array of players.

Also what's wrong with Jagex encouraging people to pay their game?

 

Flawed alternatives which arent viable and makes it unnerving how paying is promoted;

-Spins are found and rewarded from Daily challenges but that's once per day if you're lucky sometimes two depending on what you do, stuff like divi/runespan which gives you more spins cause it's mindnumbing xD and i'll include Quests aswell but those run out eventually.

-Unfair XP boosting equipment with no ingame method of acquiring, surely botanist should come from Herblore habitat, Blacksmith from Artisan, ...

-Certain cosmetics (Warlord, Archon, QBD/KK Helmet, Slayer helmets, Desert masks, ...) I feel should've been actual content or PvP/Quest/Slayer rewards rather then pay to access. Would've been great achievements.

-I've paid long enough for Membership benefits.

-The quantity of SOF-content dished out promotes buying large quantities of spins since the few specific things you desire go down in chance everytime.

 

It's just an endless loop which i'd rather not support since it doesn't add much to the game itself. Heck, i'd give them more (actual) credit if they were blatantly obvious about their intentions and future plans, future spending and just straight up asked us to go donate Bonds in the well to support an upcoming update. Whilst it amazes me a company this longstanding has to resort to these schemes I would still support them anyhow if funds is what's lacking. 

 

Or is it a lack of creativity, who can tell?

Not sure how you are making bills on level 90 gear drops since most of it vanishes with use and that which doesn't costs millions is repairs from junk materials dropped right in front of the instance.

Add in the fact that level 90 gear is so marginally better than level 80 gear that you couldn't tell at all except on the hardest of the hard content and you have to wonder if this crap is worth the development time.

New thing to kill... cool.

Level 90 gear... pretty fricken worthless for 99% of runescapers who don't want a new cosmetic skin.

If you buy level 90 gear and not make back your cash 5x-10x yer doin it wrong

Ex. Someone with 75 strength is hitting 325. Same as someone with 99 strength.
Ex2. Someone with 75 ranged is hitting 285. Same as someone with 99 ranged.
 
This is based on seeing max hit splats. While it seems like the numbers resemble what someone with 99's should hit, it is surprising to see people with much lower levels hitting the same. 
 
Was this intended? Thanks for reading and for your responses.
 
Edit: Perhaps one way to fix this would be to apply a damage "reduction in PvP" % based on levels so Tierscape can be maintained for PvM? The higher level you are in Ranged/Magic/Attack/Strength, the lower that damage reduction is.
 
Update: In less than 1 day, I have built an F2P attack pure with the following stats:
CB - 32
ATK - 50
Str - 4
Def - 4
HP - 39
Pray - 31
 
I have not lost a single fight due to the fact I've seen myself hit 253 using Rune 2H and the Level 31 Strength/Damage prayer. I stopped pking because I don't want to gain an Attack level from all the killing. It's fun, but I'd rather people who have spent months and maybe years get rewarded in Pking rather than a character made in less than a day.
 
If people hated pures before, this is even worse. I made the account simply to show how messed up the Tier system is especially in F2P.

I personally dislike PVP in Runescape but my friends who were Hardcore PVP'ers are saying that they're not returning to Runescape because Legacy have huge disadvantages in PVP. Is that correct?

 

Anyone of you tried PVP after the launch of Legacy Mode?

>They come up with 'Legacy Mode' 
>'Legacy Mode' would allow them to milk old, nostalgic players for money
>Jagex realise Legacy would never work with EoC
>Jagex realise they need to change EoC so that they could work together
>Combat Beta is released which changes EoC so it could co-exist with Legacy
>Specs are added to EoC
>Stuns are nerfed
>Food is buffed
>Damage is nerfed (Through armour)
>Legacy players could now fight EoC players
>Jagex then announce 'Legacy Mode'
>They promise that it wouldn't affect EoC
>Legacy was actually the reason for nerfs
>Average player wouldn't realise this because combat beta happened before
>Legacy and Combat 'Improvements' are released
>EoC PvP community gets screwed
>Jagex make money because players join for legacy
>Jagex win
>We lose

Given the nature of the PVPcommunity: I'm glad they are mostly gone now.

Given the nature of the effiency crowd, i'm glad how Jagex made it all much too easy now.

 

Really? After a long day you don't love to unwind with a few other people? Shame man, minigames and free for all is so much fun.

Nothing wrong with EoC, just the players blindsighted by memories. Horrible really but hey, they got what they want. The bad, the ugly, and the good; by every step we go forward we take two steps back.
