RuneScape Information

  1. I got the gem bag, then the bonecrusher, and now I'm going for the herbicide. All of these items really help for slayer drops / inventory management. Are they worth all the effort? Now I'll say no, but in a year I'll say yes.
  2. I take it that this 800k an hour only factors in the time spent making pizza bases, and not the time getting the pots of flour? Just wondering, how easy is it to get the pots of flour on the Grand Exchange? (I just can't see myself doing the grunt work of buying pots of flour from shops. I'm lazy like that =P)
  3. It's not slightly slower, it's so much slower. You could easily make the 1 mil difference with the time the gilded altar saves you.
  4. now, i use super att and normal str pots, as well as EE. before I got the EE, I used d baxe and super att pots, as well as more food. Range pots in both cases.
  5. gold rings are used for summoning, but ever since stealing creation, gold bars have increased in price. Dunno if it's worth it to make gold rings anymore. The classic thing to do would be to make hardleather bodies. I personally tried camping at the crafting guild, mining clay, watering them, and making bowls. That's a cheap way, but probably not worth your time.
  6. Think of the slayer requirement for your avatar as your avatar's "defense" level. An enemy who wants to attack your avatar has to have enough of a slayer level to beat the "defense" level. By burying bones (any type will do) in your team's graveyard, you increase your avatar's "defense" level. Don't get the charms reward. You can get faster charms doing just about anything else.
  7. Thanks for the advice guys. I guess not too many people have tried it, so I should do some hands-on testing. That works for using the abyss. Double cosmics abyss > single nature abyss. But I dunno about double cosmic fairy ring vs. single nature graahk.
  8. Here's the route I'm using: bank at castlewars slayer ring to relekka fairy ring to Zanaris run to altar (use agility shortcuts) craft dueling ring to castlewars Questions: (in terms of cash) Does this beat using the abyss? Does this beat 50/50 GOP* (if you can still do that)? Would I be better off doing natures with graahks? *Edit: As Krazi kindly pointed out, I meant GOP, not FoG.
  9. From what I hear, shortbows have the same accuracy and power as the longbow. Shortbow has a higher firing rate (more dps) Longbow has a higher range. So use longbow only when you're too far away to use shortbow.
  10. I think the minigame takes too much time, but I will get 300 rank for imbuing the ranging ring. Only 15 hours of MA to go :( So, the warrior ring (i) is better, but just too time consuming to get?
  11. I'm just wondering which one is better. I'll be training slayer using Sumona. My weapon is the all-purpose whip. Warrior ring (i) gives +8 to slash Berserker ring gives +4 to strength Edit: for the sake of argument, let's pretend I already have both rings. I'll be getting ma rank 300 anyway for ranging ring. Edit2: Just a few hours after I posted this, the latest update lets me imbue berserker rings. I guess the choice is obviously berserker ring (i) now.
  12. PC is pretty damn good for hp. The monsters have relatively low defense, so you'll be able to do a lot of damage. Spend points on hp xp. Fastest hp xp that I know of. Although, really, you should never train combat without slayer. You *might* regret not getting slayer xp.
  13. FoG is a game. For me, success is defined by winning or thinking about ways to win. That, for me, is the whole point of any game. For some others, FoG success is defined by mage exp, tokens, maybe rating, or sometimes (OMG) fun. Those who play FoG for exp or token rewards are defeating the purpose of the game - to have fun. Sometimes I like to play f2p FoG. In those cases, attack damage is relatively low. At times like these, I have a tough choice to make: to have rune armor or not to have rune armor? I don't bring rune armor, so I can outrun my opponent. =P It's funny to see my hunter cursing when he's down to 0 energy and I'm still able to run away.
  14. You can't have discussion if either of you isn't willing to listen to the other. Sounds like you both can't listen to each other (or at least you're not willing to listen to him). So don't bother arguing a small point. Just agree to disagree. Disclaimer: I just say the following to get you thinking, not because I believe in it. Feel free to flame my ideas, just don't flame me personally. I'll be the Devil's Advocate and say that combat is all there is because it's more fun than grinding skills, and opens up a world of boss-hunting. Combat is the best moneymaker in the game, and is the most visible sign of your experience (combat levels). Plus, you get to wear cool armor. Everything else in the game only exists to serve combat. Mining --> smithing --> armour/weapons for combat. Woodcutting --> Fletching --> weapons for combat. Crafting --> equipment for combat. Fishing --> Cooking --> food for combat. Farming --> Herblore --> pots for combat. As you can see, combat is the be-all and end-all of Runescape
  15. 500 mithril dragons. 1500 Goraks. I wouldn't want to get tasks like that, so I'd skip em. But something like 5 mithril dragons or 50 Goraks (which could be today's task) is more managable. I might actually do them instead of skipping them. You need to remember that the slayer skill was designed to be a "fun" way to train combat. It's the anti-camp. It encourages you to go out and kill a variety monsters you wouldn't normally kill, explore areas you generally wouldn't explore. The slayer mask and helm were made so that slayers didn't have to feel so guilty about not using the most efficient training methods. Let's face it: slayer monsters aren't the most efficient monsters to kill, even with the slayer helm. This "high-level" slayer master would suck all the variety out of slayer. It would make slayer less fun, but more efficient as a skill to grind. I suppose that there are a few people who would use that slayer master. I don't see anything wrong with putting in a high-level, many-monsters-per-task slayer master in, as long as he's well balanced. Just don't expect me to use him.
