  1. Completely unrelated to RS but I advise you all to check out this upcoming MMORPG Gods & Heroes The game is still months away from release, but I'm hyped! I've already released a fansite to prepare for this game! GnH: Ultimate Source
  2. Hi Duke! Random Maybe Fact: 1.7 trillion, lets say the average player has 300k gp (I don't know, I haven't played in a year) 1.7 trillion/300k = 5666666.67 300k = 18 bytes of data (0s and 1s in binary - roughtly this amount) 5666666.67*18=102,000,000 bytes Translates in 102MB of space. Jagex uses 102MB of hard drive space to store 1.7 trillion gps! :anxious: (I don't know, I just like this emote)
  3. Question should be "What if you were born 30 years earlier than your birth-date" Because sometime in 2002 I was determined to find an online game. Had I never played RS, I would have played something else (and I did for about a year before I stumbled onto RS) But life without it, is better now than without it (though 3 years ago I'd say life was better with it). Depends how you personally change, and how your life changes over time.
  4. Free bump ~ Edit nvm Tried PC on my bros acct, not that great to make me start playing again. And where did my sig go!
  5. I'm really surprised that anyone's opinion on him would be changed at all. I don't see how he was 'deceiving' anyone of anything. What he did was on the side, and the way he presented himself was as a rolemodel. Him coming out and telling the truth now is really honorable. We were surprised that people found out this soon, but he could have easily just played innocent and people would have believed it. In no way was he 'abusing' any 'position' at all. What he did he kept hidden, which had no connection with the actual game and these forums as a rolemodel. Way to generalize a person by one action Bubsa. There is nothing honourable in admitting your crime once it has been commited, this is mostly done to attract sympathy off the readers, which is obviously working. To be honourable would be to have owned up straight after the deed, but he didn't hoping he wouldn't get caught, thats not honourable, thats cowardice. Presentations are nothing, its whats inside that counts, he broke one of the runescape rules that has no grey areas, you simply cannot trade rs items for any items outside of game. To do this as a player mod and as a tip.it forum mod shows disrespect to both parties, especially if the people he traded with knew he was in these positions. If he broke one rule so easily whats to say he didn't lie about breaking the others? How can you say that what he did had no connection with the game? Every time someone sells gp for real life items it means someone that would not have been able to aquire that gp otherwise has, and they will use it most likely to gain skills or afford items they shouldn't have, thus affecting all of us. Just a shame jagex didn't catch him til so late, when damage was already done. Wow... we're only human People auto and sell the autoed cash for RL cash. Atleast his money was legit earned. But I can understand where you're coming from. But I quit RS a while ago, so my viewpoint is the exact opposite since I just don't care about the game anymore or what goes on in it. Well, like 2 days ago I'm on aim and one of my RS friends IMed me, for the first time in ages, saying "Duke is banned! Duke is banned!!!" I was like, what is he talking about? After like a few seconds of being blank, I realized what he was talking about. I hope you did get some nice $ out of what you've sold. I still respect you, always will. Just forget about all of this, keep enjoying college :) But don't have to much fun! :P Hey Duke, listen to The All American Rejects "Move Along" if you still feel really bummed about what happened, good song.
  6. From the way you're typing, seems like RS is already taking its toll on you. ... can't argue that 10-12 hours a day of playing isn't much.
  7. just say NO... to RuneScape A Master's degree to go full-time in RS... I can't really compliment somone in that position. Dedication... wasted.
  8. I'm posting for my brother "Sonic Pk3r" He's trying to get 85 Mage like his big brother (me) once did ;), and those chaos look pretty tasty.
  9. Rares today are manipulated. I think some people don't like rares, I think they just don't like half the people who own a rare. Those people who fake trades to inflate price, the noobs yelling out "Sell your Santas for 10 mil each! Santas are now 10 mil each!" I totally understand if you don't like rares because of that. However, if you don't like them because people show-off with them, or they're price is to high, then that's your problem. Envying someone's achievement, or starting the game to late, again, that's just jealousy.
  10. Just turned 18, and played the game for 3-4 years before I retired in 05 (was 17 years old at the time). My opinion: (even though I'm not included, unless some 10 year old reading this thinks 18 is old lol) Its ok for the older generation to be playing it. They didn't have this when they were younger, online gaming is still relatively new compared to the entire span video gaming has existed. RS does seem designed for all ages. However, I don't personally in real life know anyone older than the age of 20 who plays RS. The grown-ups around me looked at vid gaming as a complete waste of time. In 10-20 years it'll be a common thing for adults to be playing online games. But I do know that online games are addictive, so unless I'm really stressed out then, I don't expect to be playing to be playing any. I'm the kind that tends to lose track on time when I'm enjoying something.
  11. A Proton is a nucleon not a particle, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s beside the point if all the mass of the universe was pushed into something the size of a proton it would be a stellar black hole. I wouldn't be so sure about that second part; the object is always there whether someone observes it or not. I'll try and give a simplified explanation below. The difference being that if we don't observe it then we don't know its precise location (which is common sense) and is instead represented by a probability of being in a location. Every object in the universe is constantly interacting with other objects and these interactions affect the probability of the object being in a specific location; these interactions, might leave it a bit off centre to where it should be. When we decide to view something then it will most likely appear in the area of highest probability; we move from guessing where it is to making a precise measurement to where it is. Just to let you know, under the Copenhagen interpretation there is no real wave function; it is just a tool to help calculate probability. Well a proton may well be a nucleon but it still is a particle; a sub-atomic particle. Yes it's believed the universe was once the size of something around the size of a proton. It's thought that all 4 major forces (strong and weak nuclear forces, gravity and the electromagnetic force) were all combined into one super-force at this stage. Space and time were also thought to be combined together rather than working dependently off one another. In these situations you can't use the current laws of physics to predict that it would just be a blackhole. The Cosmic Background Radiation produced results on this it's called cosmic inflation - where the universe expanded from microscopic to cosmic size. Your explanation of the Copenhagen experiment forgets to mention the experiments done on the individual photon. You seem to be stating the results of the photon wave which I understand; it's probability as you said. The experiment which i'm talking about is when they placed photon detectors on each of the holes on the walls. Only when they did this did the photon act as a particle instead of a wave; because it was being observed. So where did that single proton come from?
  12. I do I can't see how existance can even exist without God. Oh and Skaten... really shows your age what you just asked... 1. Is there proof? Um, isn't the whole idea of believing on God something that is not supposed to be based on facts? 2. When you pray or wish... stop being a lazy [wagon] and expecting everything to be done for you, because guess what, ITS NOT And here's the answer to the question about gravity Gravity has not been proved. Scientists don't know why or how it exists. They don't know why it is so weak compared to other forces in the universe (such as the atomic nuclear force that holds the nucleus of an atom together). Supposidly it leaks into other dimension, explaining its weakenss, but again, that's a theory, not a fact.
  13. Put the blue/white/red hats in the first three inventory slots to make sure I keep those, and take a chance with the KQ (hopefully its a lvl 30 pure with 40 or so HP). And hopefully the KQ would only get one shot off on me.
  14. What if you have a firewall that blocks all ads?
  15. You can't learn HTML from RuneScape. What are you talking about? Please don't post things like that, just looks beyond stupid. I learned more about computers just playing around with them and using one (and of course, building my own). What did RuneScape teach me about computers? Absolutley nothing
