American football

26 May 2010 - 07:42 PM

Heeeey, my friends and I are pretty big fans of blue mountain state (god daaaamn hilarious  ), and it's kind of getting us interested in american football. Can someone give me a quick summary of the position and rules? We'd quite like to get playing, it looks like rugby with more tackles, which appeals to me.
Thanks, James

Buying a new laptop - confused.

16 September 2009 - 06:14 PM

Hey guys, I know you lot get this veeeery often, sorry. I'm buying a laptop and I'm quite confused, I've looked a ton of laptops recently and don't really know what to buy. Can you offer any suggestions as to what laptop would be best for me? A bit of information:

- I will be using this laptop for school work, watching movies, listening to music, internet and maybe one or two low-end games (no need for a serious, expensive video card)

- I want it to be relatively fast! 4 GB RAM and a good processor is essential.

- under £500

Previously I've being looking at acers like:

Any opinions on them?

Thanks.

Far Cry 2

21 September 2008 - 11:53 AM

Far Cry® 2, the next-generation first-person shooter from Ubisoft, will take you deep into the most beautiful but also most hostile environments in the world: Africa! More than just a visual and technological achievement, Far Cry® 2, the true sequel to the award-winning PC game, will provide you with an unprecedented gaming experience.

Caught between two rival factions in war-torn Africa, you are sent to take out "The Jackal", a mysterious character who has rekindled the conflict between the warlords, jeopardizing thousands of lives. In order to fulfil your mission you will have to play the factions against each other, identify and exploit their weaknesses, and neutralise their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion, cunning and, of course, brute force.

Far Cry 2 comes out on the 24th October (for Europe, 21st for NA) on PC, 360 and PS3, it looks amazing and it's completely open-ended. The team making it was careful to ensure there was no loss of quality between the different platforms.

The British Government's New Law

11 October 2007 - 04:18 PM

On the 1st of October the British Government brought in a new law called the VCR Act (Violent Crime Reduction Act). Basically this new law made it impossible to buy and use a powerful BB gun that doesn't look crap, you can now only buy clear coloured BB guns which look awful.

They have no real reason for this law, it was mostly triggered when Reese Jones was shot with a real gun when he got in the middle of a gang fight and as the government can’t actually make real firearm laws any stricter, they decided to tighten the closest thing to real firearms which are air rifles and BB guns. I’m assuming most of this forum don’t airsoft or really care about it but don’t you think it’s unfair that the government has restricted this law even though it’s almost impossible to kill someone with a BB gun? #-o

360 vs 360 Elite

15 September 2007 - 08:12 PM

Hey I'm thinking of getting an Xbox 360, I've heard from some peope but is there 100gb and change of colour really worth the £50 is costs?

I've heard the only difference is colour, marketplace content and 100gb, should I pay the £50 extra or go for the normal 360?
