If you've ever gotten a response for a report, you'll notice that they're the exact same letters. Unless the JAGEX people have been indoctrinated to type out the same exact responses for offenses, I'll bet my money that they're just using an automated response.

They do not examine every single report - that's an impossible task and one that they did not ever promise to do. If, however, they see a pattern (i.e., same person or glitch being reported over and over), they will delve into it. So don't worry over a few misguided words you threw out at someone. Most likely you won't be banned for them.

I around when crackers dropped, and let me tell you - THERE WERE NEVER ANY BLACK PARTY HATS. Some people say that the Gowers originally released black hats and then changed their minds - that's utterly ridiculous. Just a rumor for fanboys and conspiracy theorists. Purple essentially replaced pink party hats - virtually the same color, just a different name because pink sounded too girlish (that's the only viable explanation I could come up with). The name change just happened to go in effect after the party hat dupe. As if changing the name to 'purple' would have warded off scammers?

I came back to check out what the holiday event was, and couldn't resist sharing stories of the old days with y'all. Back then, the ENTIRE RS community rejoiced when bluerose13x started being able to smith addy kites; there was no wilderness - you could (and I did) get killed just walking from town to town; wine was made by jumping up and down ladders 5 times; we were limited to 3 servers; "pures" ruled the land; you could see the occasional bearded lady... It was also a time when macros were rampant; there was no second trade window to confirm a trade so many people got scammed out of their hard earned gp; there were many exploitable glitches here and there. All in all, a very fun time although there was a group of people who ruined a good thing and made JAGEX create some of the more annoying features we all know today, such as random events, getting tired (I've been told this is no longer in effect), etc. It's too bad RSC is for p2p members only now. I used to go back now and then to try to 3hit some folks :). Happy Holidays, everyone!

A thousand apologies for the quad-posting. The site was really slow and it seemed as if the post didn't go through when I hit "submit". Anyway, if someone could answer my question, that'd be great.

I just came back from a 12 month RS break and saw people use some kind of wand to teleport. Each teleporter would draw a circle around himself, sit down and read a book, and vanish. This was witnessed in F2P. I would very much like to know what it is and where to get one. Thanks in advance!
