  1. Randoms are for stoping bots, not just RWT'ers. There will still be lots of bots playing the game. In stead of selling money, the RWT'ers will start selling thier best bots to players so we wouldnt have to go mining. We still need to be aware of bots. But now instead of selling gold for profit. They are usuing the bots to get in game money and also to get xp.
  2. Here is T Beaun.....its pronounced T Bone!!!
  3. I am sad to see you forgot to mention players who give each other resources which is now out of the question. Lots of players helped one another out, or even more popular is giving away your stuff when you quit. But you cant do that anymore. What is going to heppen to all of the resources and phats ect. when people quit. They will not longer be able to give them away to their friends. They have to use the party hall and risk people they dont even know getting them, or use a house chest to give items away (but i think they will change this as well since you could use it to sell your gold to one person). This is the area that upset me the most in the updates. I didnt agree with all the updates but they didnt upset me because they didnt really effect me. This one, however, has real implications on my game play and the majority of the RS players.
  4. You have to do ghost ahoy quest to change it. You can also change it in Keldagrim after another quest.
  5. I just came to a realization when reading through these posts (20 pages in 30 hours...wow). Americas Army Operations used to be a great free game (anyone ever play it?), but they started to make drastic changes to it to cater to the newer players to try and get more people on the game. They also changed parts of the game to curtail cheating. The changes they made to it caused the mass exidous of a majority of the hardcore high 'honor' fans. These were the people who played every day, hours a day, and kept the game popular just by playing it and spreading the word about it. AA:O is now in a rebuilding stage because of this huge loss. I am waiting for version 3.0 to come out to see if they made it like the old versions of the game, before its tragic demise. This story wasnt for nothing, I swear. This story reminded me of Runescape. Runescape has become so worried about attracting new players and by limiting cheating that they forgot about their hardcore fan base that keeps the game running and keeps spreading the word that Runescape is awsome. If all of these people leave the game, think about the free advertisement they lose. When I tell people about Runescape I tell them how awesome of a game it is, how great the economy is, and how fun it is to play with and against other people. Those ideas are dieing slowly. We are losing what once was one of the best games on the internet. Only time will tell what is going to happen to Runescape, but Jagex needs to re-prioritise itself to understand the nature of both the game and the people that keep it running, namely the players. The time to quit is not now. Now is the time to make changes to the game from with in it, if it dosnt work out, then its time to leave and come back later.....hopefully.
  6. These are some very interesting findings to be sure. I knew that they would do some sort of regulation as to the prices of things, but they way it is done and the items they do it on is strange. I wonder what the absolute minimum price for nats would be? 280?
  7. [hide=Long list of Rants/Responses] WBM. Please go kiss [wagon] somewhere else  Not kissing [wagon], i'm talking sense mate  . You don't this game anymore, don't play it. Simple as. Leave the people who actually do like it to play it without hearing your whining. The general opinion here is that these updates have killed off parts of the games that many players loved, and in some cases have left players will very little left to play for. You don't like this forum, don't post here, simple as. Leave the people who are actually trying to have a discussion involving their opinions to carry on without having to read your Holier than thou posts. Show me the part of my posts in which I incinuated that I didn't like the forums, and I shall quit. Oh, and as for discussion about opinions, did you read my first post. Oh, no, that's not an opinion thats viable for discussion  . So, lump it or leave it. Magekillr, good point. Jagex may have overlooked that. I think they did the same about the Mystic Sets thing in Grand Exchange. Hopefully that'll be fixed soon, along with the other little problems of the latest updates. [/hide] Actually, your first post is an oppinion, not a question for discussion. They are obviously retorical questions, not meant to be answered. They are uneducated and attacking the majority of the Runescape community who feels that Jagex has made significant changes to the game that hurt the community and team aspect of Runescape that is so appealing to a majority of the players.
  8. not many people will agree with your position, especially this update. It has hurt aspects that longstanding higher level players loved (I.E. drop parties by leaving players). Even people who stand by Jagex on most controversial updates are comming out and saying they dont like the way RWT is being dealt with. There has to be another way to deal with the problem. They need to release their game client like they said they were going to when they banned SS from being used. They can then monitor the amount of unballanced trades and take action accordingly. Without a game client it becomes easier for people to get away with cheating. With a game client they would be able to do hardwear bans. Meaning you wouldnt be able to use that harddrive to play Runescape ever again.
  9. I agree that bounty hunter should be 1v1 or 2v2 at most. If you want to team kill than go to Clan War arena.
  10. Agreed. You might as well edit the post, for they have used the TNT. BOOM!! The Runescape world is going to be knocked off of its feet for a few weeks, if not months, because of the past months 'events'. I hope it recovers enough to still be fun.
  11. they said they resized the wild, 40% reduction i think. So all of the coordinates will be off. Check out the picture of the wild in the knowledge base, or possible the in game map too (havnt seen the in game map yet but i suppose its changed to the new look too.)
  12. Also, it was an interesting Dev. Diary too. Everyone should read it word for word if you havn't yet, its a good one.
  13. My biggest complaint is with the 3K trade limit. Now there is no possible way for high level/income players to give their friends their stuff when they leave the game. The only possible way to do it is to have a party in the party room, at non-peak hours, in an empty server, and hopfully no on sees that there is a 100mil drop part happining in 20 minutes. This was one of the best parts of runescape, helping out your friends, and now there is no efficient way to do that (besides skill "helping"). I havnt cared about a single update that people claimed ruined Runescape until this one. This ruins the team feel of the game and seriously makes me want to switch to playing WoW, Halo 3 or CoD4 much more. It makes no sense to hurt the team aspect of Runescape so much, it is what made it what it is today. It seems to me that the newest thing will be people selling their accounts online instead of their gold. I'm sure someone will figure out a way to sell accounts safely away from Jagex control. You dont have to use eBay for selling your account. Someone will make a specific website to sell Runescape accounts on. My guess is it will be an open forum style market where people log on and sell their accounts. The market determines the price openly. Just a guess, but watch for it in the future, its the next logical path to take.
  14. Interesting stuff in there. I'm glad I have been holding on to my eggs and have been investing in my Kingdom lately and will have lots of eggs for whatever use they have. I'm getting more excited about this new skill.
