  1. I agree with you, however since the world isnt perfect I see it as a good thing that people are taught not to trust people who offer them free crap over the internet or real life. Can you honestly say that OP getting scammed is bad if he learned this lesson of how to survive in this imperfect world. Stop being so nearsighted and focus on the whole picture and you will see why i condone it. Pretty sad that you cant see that So in a nutshell: It is acceptable and even desirable to inflict suffering on an individual now if possible, greater suffering is to be avoided later. Did you study Bentham and utlitarianism by any chance? The problem is where to draw the line: If I dragged someone down an alley at knifepoint and only stole half of their money? Because it teaches them that people might mug them at knifepoint and steal all their money, maybe even stab them? Would that be ok? Does the lesson justify the means now? Should I offer children sweeties in the park then only punch them in the face if they accept, thus teaching them a valuable lesson about how joyless the world can be - at least they won't be getting kidnapped? Undeniably being kidnapped and all that may follow is far worse than being punched in the face. There is a huge difference between taking a positive lesson out of a negative experience and essentially wishing it upon them or being glad when it happens. You're the [bleep]ing epitome of the idiot generation. There's nothing wrong with being mad over something you care about. In fact, I'd argue that apathy is far worse. That meme is old, annoying, and taken way out of context. I took a Dexter Morgan approach not too soon after my first lure. And I would never steal IRL. False distinction actually: You just admitted to stealing IRL. You sat at your computer (IRL) and willfully deceived someone (who also exists IRL) to steal something which they had invested time in acquiring. Just because it takes place across the internet and what you acquired cannot be liquidated for real world currency doesn't make it and less dishonest and frankly pathetic. The point is not that what you took had or didn't have monetary value it is that it had value to your victim. If I broke into someone's house and stole something of sentimental value but no monetary value I'm pretty sure it would still be distressing for them and, crucially, still theft. So in what sense is what you did different? In a strict legal sense you are correct; you didn't break any laws except those of RS possibly. In every other sense you are an oxygen-thief.
  2. See here Seems likely to be a scam. Why would you need to prove ownership if you were trying to sell it?
  3. This. Common Jads are really slow at 70. There is a Herblore Habitat guide in AOW which quotes 81k xp/hr on common jads but I think that is with Arctic Bear and maybe higher hunter level. Also, red chins are a bot fest and reportedly slower xp than red salamanders (although I can't confirm). Not sure about orange but reds at the minute I'm getting 73k xp/hr with attention. Am thinking of trying black sals but one trap is far away and the aggressive giants are annoying. Also pkers might spoil the rate.
  4. Your profit is about 100 gp/per At moderate concentration I can run about 1100 ore per hour to edgy furnace. Gives a profit of about 110k gp/hr
  5. I'm doing 64-75 crafting by buying gold and uncut saphs smelting with gauntlets and making bracelets. If the bracelets sell for GE price then this is going to cost me about 2mil and net me a load of smithing xp as well. Otherwise I can buy nats and alch for an additional 200k cost. It won't be quick but it will be cheap. Oak larders are the only way to go for construction but it isn't cheap. Very quick though. I got to 70 in a couple of days of pretty relaxed play. For herby you will pay for speed. Cheapest is probably cleaning but this is very slow xp (maybe a bit of profit though). Tip.it have a herblore calculator here. Or you could find Grimy's spreadsheets on the internets. I'm doing red salamanders for hunter now and clocking around 68-70k xp/hr. I find it much faster than falcons. So I'd recommend those once you hit 59. I have tried Graahking nats. It is do-able but like everything in RC it is slow. You could look at ZMI, I never have because I'm not really looking at RC right now. For farming trees and fruit trees are good. Do MTK (assuming you did both quests) and set 9 people on Maples. You'll get some seeds from nests. You can sell higher level seeds and nests to fund more seeds. At your level right now the best tree and fruit tree seeds you can grow will cost you almost nothing on the GE. Also do allotment runs with best seeds possible, atm strawberries and, I'd say limpwurts (cheap seeds and you can sell at profit or use for herby). Move to watermelons at 47. You may be able to profit on the herbs if you pick the right one to grow and maximise your yield with magic secateurs and supercompost. You can do ranarrs at the moment so I'd say do those. At 38 you might want to try toadflax but you can figure out what will be the best money when the time comes.
  6. Yeah, I'd heard red chins were a bot-fest now anyway. I might try out the black sallys and see what rate I get and how bad the PKers are. Thanks for the info! Brilliant. Tbh red sallys are pretty easy and quick enough for now. I did think about moving over to common jads as a training method. There is an HH guide which gives an xp rate of 81k xp/hr for common Jads so I might do that although I don't have an arctic bear (62 summ) but I guess the rates should scale anyway. Thanks!
  7. I'm training hunting to 70 or 76 for Herblore Habitat. I currently do Red Sallys (I get about 70k xp/hr @ Level 62) - Should I stick with these to 70/76 or shift to red chins (now)/black sals (@ 67)? - Is Herblore Habitat do-able if I can just hunt common Jadinkos or should I go to 76 for Carrions - I really want farming jujus? To be clear, I want speed not profit. If anyone has rates that would be great.
  8. For green drags I cannoned in the Rev Dungeon. No bots there. About three mins plus running to fill an invent and terrorbird. If you go CT I saw a guy there in best range gear. Standing in the centre and just going for a big hit on each one. Seemed to work. The place is swarming with bots.
  9. Some discussion of this here I think that thread was made before the items kept on death update so some may not be relevant.
  10. You'll probably want to give your stats and interests for people to put stuff in context and to narrow down the question. Summoning is a very useful skill and if you slay a lot then you should be able to collect charms pretty quickly. Also take a look at Dungeoneering (sp?) as it is another whole new skill which gives access to Chaotic weapons (especially the rapier for slayer) which are pretty good (apparently, just back from 4 years off myself so training Dung for rapier). Look at high level potions in Herby as well.
  11. To be honest that isn't really an argument against an increase in the use of TD hunting being responsible for an increase in bolt rack consumption. It doesn't matter what percentage of hunters use racks, it matters what percentage of the racks available are used by hunters. Even if most hunters don't use the racks it is still possible that those who do are using so many that the price is increasing.
  12. No room for error. I have never bought, mined or picked up any granite. As requested: http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h445/northern69/RingOfStoneProof.jpg Edit: Been so long can't post images. [garden tool] hum. Got to go resell this ring - 3 million gp? Stick with granite.
  13. You need to lock this and remove it from the link sticky. Looks to me like your screenshots are up to date.
  14. So: 19. Cut scene is still there. It is pretty short though. I was still inside the room after Merlin escaped. 20. If you click on the vent again you'll get a boost out the window. You can walk in through the back doors of the tower and out the front. Trying to get back in the front will cause Morgan Le Faye to reappear and tele you back to jail. 22. He's right. I can post screenies of most of this on request. Probably just proof stuff. Not good enough for the guide.
  15. Who me? Not really. I'd imagine that the fact claws aren't disappearing from the game would increase the supply and form part of the dominating supply/demand effects I mentioned. That and possibly more people hunting TDs.
