RuneScape Information

  1. Wear armadyl helm, saradomin d'hide body, zamorak d'hide chaps, ranger boots/snakeskin boots, barrows gloves, granite shield, ava's accumulator, rune crossbow, broad bolts, amulet of ranging, archers' ring. Bring mud runes and nature runes for bones to peaches, or tabs if you don't have the spell. Bring fire runes and nature runes to alch rune daggers and crossbow limbs. Bring about 12 ranging potions. Remember a mith grapple. Fill the rest of your inventory with starter food, like salmon. Remember excalibur or enchanted excalibur. You should now be good to go.
  2. I logged on only for about 2 hours this weekend but gained around 250k ranged experience. That's much better than I usually get, so I was very satisfied with the weekend. Voted first option.
  3. Does a mouse or keyboard require "other software"? The answer is yes. Does having a mouse and keyboard give you an unfair advantage in Runescape? Over a player who has neither mouse or keyboard, yes. Is using a mouse or keyboard against the rules? Technically yes. Should it be? No. That's why someone suggested they re-word the rule. This has nothing to do with the rapid clicking. This is only, and I repeat, only, about the poor wording of the rule which designates the use of pretty much anything from operating systems to drivers, basic essential necessities, as being a violation. RS requires a mouse to play, so I fail to see why you bring up that having a mouse gives you a advantage over people who do not. Thank you, you just reinforced my point precisely. Runescape, more or less, requires an operating system. It requires a mouse, a keyboard, and much, much more. And all of these entail "other software." All I'm bringing up is that the rule isn't at all clear about what's valid and what's invalid. Rather than simply saying "any other software," it should be detailed, so we don't need to have ridiculous discussions over what's permissible and what's not. The fact that us, players, are debating over what the rule means shows that Jagex didn't do a thorough job in writing the rules. You have to be less pedantic. Using a mouse and keyboard does not give an unfair advantage because everyone is expected to have a mouse and keyboard. Using an operating system does not give an unfair advantage, because you obviously need an operating system to play RuneScape. Any reasonable person would say that using a mouse, keyboard, operating system, or web browser does not give someone an unfair advantage in RuneScape. It only serves to discredit you to use such an immature argument. Whether the mouse in question constitutes an unfair advantage over other players is up for debate, but ultimately Jagex will decide whether it is allowed or not.
  4. Ya the big all caps not means it might work  They updated the developers blog AFTER the QA because the original list of nots was vague and implied tht some things such as ecto might not work but didnt explictly say they wouldn't I'm not gonna get into a big argument over this but the developers blog specifically listed ecto alter as one of the things that would not work on the bonus xp weekend in the original developers blog. It did not. I read it within minutes of it being posted. It said "What activities will NOT earn me bonus XP? * Quest XP rewards * Items that give XP (e.g. genie lamps, tomes of experience) * XP rewards at the end of minigames (e.g. Tears of Guthix, Soul Wars, Pest Control) * Anything which allows point exchange for XP (e.g. Penguin Points, Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets, Slayer incentives, Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper, jade vine)" As can be see here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/259244-save-the-date-26-feb-2010/ Where the original text was quoted in minutes of being posted. I'm talking about the original developers blog that they posted a few weeks ago not the forums post. That is the original developers' blog.
  5. Because it was possible to hit 0.1-0.9 before, right? Why do you need to condescend people by calling them "kiddies" who pathetically want to feel "cool"? Why are you so smug and think that you're more mature and intelligent than everyone else? Obviously everyone does understand that damage is relative. It's as fun to hit a 500 as your max hit now as it was to hit a 50 as your max hit because they are equivalent. At the same time, I'm sure that there is an equivalent to a RuneScape max hit in WoW which one should derive the same amount of pleasure from hitting. It seems that YOU are the only person unable to realize this and hence you hate the update. If anything, the update only increases the pleasure that can be derived from hitting your max hit since most players' max hits will now be rarer. This update has very few functional changes to the game. It's nothing to get wound up over. Quit whining and just adjust to it. I never claimed to be more mature/intelligent than anyone else. This is just my stereotype of kids who are stupid enough to only train strength (generally the immature/younger players). There is honestly no point to this update other than to annoy everyone that's been playing longer than six damn months. Honestly, I started playing this game six years ago when I was 9 and I didn't cry if I hit a 0 or if a monster hit a 1 on me. Solution: Make low levels train instead of making updates that interfere with the rest of the game/players. Right there you called kids stupid. Therefore, you are calling yourself more intelligent than them. You also called them kids, implying immaturity and that you are more mature than them. Please get rid of your "I'm better than everyone else" attitude. The rest of what you write does not address my writing in any way or is connected to my post. You are simply spitting out as much whine as you can. And once again, this update does not interfere with the rest of the game or players thereof in any appreciable way. If you really have been playing for six years than maybe you should know how to adjust to new situation. But no... New situation: Scary! :ohnoes:

  7. 48.5k XP per hour was my rate from 75-77.
  8. I put in an order of 300... I'll sell them to you when I get them, probably tomorrow.
  9. He used to be second overall after zezima right? Then he passed away, which is ironic because that guy in the pic is saying it  That was back when there were only 3 Zezimas (I use his name synonymously with maxed players): Zezima, The Old Nite, and N0valyfe. Poor guy. He maxed his stats before construction came out. Then N0valyfe briefly overtook Zezima as number one for two weeks. Then hunter came out, and N0valyfe stopped playing and Zezima took the number one spot again, only to lose it forever when summoning came out. 2006, good times. Rares were stagnating alarmingly, Duke Freedom was in full operation, Leesters was still around, and Muggiwhplar wasn't banned yet.
  10. Curses work better. Use sap mage until the melee berserker attacks, and then use sap warrior and deflect melee. It helps to bring melee armor for the melee berserker attacks also.
  11. Please stop using apostrophes to pluralize words. It is so stereotypical of someone whose points have all been disproved.
  12. There are a couple of similar apps in the App Store now that were not there when I created this topic. Frankly, they are all useless. Most players know the best ways to make money or train skills and if they do not, that information can be found for free online. Most of those guides are outdated, too, or simply copied and pasted from older such resouces. I saw one guide instructing you to make certificates, which have not existed since RSC! If this is the kind if app you're going to create, please don't.
  13. It was you! Great name choice. I grabbed mrE.
