  1. I would say that, if you are in a mining clan, use Lava. The reson is: Your mates will tell you which rock is open ( W84 is home for "Mining Golds" clan, lots of top miners are there ). The rocks DO last longer if you are well organised. This will save a lot of running . It has been tested by MANY of us. Lava will give you 60k+ xp per hour and Yak will hardly be max at 60K, most of time 55k-56k. Since so many people are there and you waste too much time on finding your own yak. If you are mining lonely in a empty world, Yak is your choice. You need to find which rock is open by your own. You will get more hits because running back and forth more often and waste more time on finding a safe spot. A mining clan is surely your choice for better efficiency.
  2. There are not that many people have high herb skill and there are tons of willows in the market. Even using 1k willow to make one potion, I guess there is still a lot more willow there, thus there is no way you can remove "willow junk" by this method. Actually, this update has pulled back herbs like "avantoe" and potions like "Super energy" from becoming junks. Those junks like willows need to have some kind of skills that a lot people will have enough high lvl to use. It is difficult task.
  3. Unless you like wc very much and enjoy it, use the fastest method to go 99 wc and you will same a loooot of time. Use those time can easily earn your money back and gain xp in other skills. I saw many people regret that they cut Yews till 99 wc. Use your time wiser. Only time I am cutting yews are when I have to do something else irl and use wc as bonus.
  4. Thanks for the information. I do not want to buy. I just do not understand people who follow. It is too risky, since the necklace is no use, and will go back without any chance of selling.
  5. GE price for gold necklace is 465 gp. Why, does it have any use? Will it sell?
  6. Sorry, saw your stats is member and forgot you were asking f2p. No good places for three ores that is empty. There are some places that have 2 ores tgether. You need to wait a bit even in a full world.
  7. South of Piscatoris fishing colony, three iron ores. No need to move, most of the time is empty. Why dont you mine granite in the desert? That is the best xp.
  8. True. Very true. A large population drop in mainland China WOULD ensure that the survivors are far, far wealthier. But, if we let emotion, morals, and ethics enter in it becomes... abominable. Because people, regardless of who or where are more than just numbers. why don't they do what normal poor people do then and steal food, that imo is not nearly as bad as goldfarming. because with goldfarming you affect a lot more people around the world and the profit is also not given completely to the workers. they are both illegal and one is technically less bad so to speak, so i'm all for those workers stealing food to support themselves if they are that hungry. First, Spriroff90, who do not let people eat? Do you know how many percent of people can not eat in China? China will be No2 total GDP in the world this year, only difference is they may not have as good and plenty food as we have. People will go hungragy there, that is your assumption. Second, Great_one, please have have a visit to China and see what is going on there. Do not imagine something you do not know at all. I was there and things are so much different than what I was told from media and books. China is changing, very fast, all the time. People need to update their picture of China often. What media and what books? If I cited sources about the American Civil War from a book titled "Stopping the Confederacy: Halting a Great Evil" I'd get laughed off this forum. Few, very few, sources are completely unbiased. And, true, China is changing, and fast. But are they changing their ethics? Giving the citizens more rights? Is their population decreasing? And, if so, fast enough to make the changes useful? A large GDP means nothing if the populace is several magnitudes larger. Few, very few, sources are completely unbiased. Then what? I have been to China and you did not. Been there, shmeen there. In what capacity? As a tourist? Government agent? Spy? Missionary? The latter three are far more credible, actually interacting with the government or populace. And, true, China is changing, and fast. But are they changing their ethics? What ethics? There is no universal one. There are religions and others. Something you think right does not need to be correct from others. Ethics are universal. Name one, just one, civilization that prizes dishonor over honor. That prizes evil over good. Giving the citizens more rights? If compare it with 30 years ago or even 10 years ago, then they do have more. They are getting better. This is called more. But to they have adequate rights? Do they vote for their ruler? Are they allowed to go where ever, within reason, they want at any reasonable time? Are they allowed a fair trial by a jury of their peers? Freedom of speech? Is their population decreasing? Do you have the knowledge of population? Let me tell you. If their peak birth rate is at 1970s ( might be 1960s ), those people need to be old enough to die before the total population number to go down. Plus people are living longer than before, this will also be a big factor. They need another 20-50 years ( not sure, but not now ) to get the population number down. It is not that you announce one child policy then the population will go down immediately. And, if so, fast enough to make the changes useful? Like atomic power, it has both sides. You and me can not give a judge of the changes of China to the whole world. It might be bad for someone, and good for others. From economcs point of view, China is doing good things to the world to help us from the finance crisis now. If they use the money on weapons while not to the people, then it is a bad thing. From an ethical, political, and religious point of view, they're doing terribly. Sure, economically they're well off, in a hive mind sort of way, but so was the Roman Catholic church in the 1500s. Furthermore, mechanization is not very useful when manual labor is so much cheaper. That was what I meant. A large GDP means nothing if the populace is several magnitudes larger. It does mean less people go hungray. Every country has rich and poor. The most important thing is to reduce the difference between the rich and poor. Even you are rich, if the gap is too big, still a lot of people will go hungry. I have not check over the last 10 years, who it doing better. Britain. America. Japan. France. They all do it better. Why? Well, even bums in New York City can, at the very least, scrape together at least one meal a day in between charity and state sponsored programs. Furthermore, these nations all have a healthily large middle class.[/hide] This will be my last post with you. Everyone has the right to say their opinion. Only problem is that ou seems hate China very much. Everything in your eye is bad. That can not be true. A bad person can do good thing. You are trying to raise a lot of facts that China is bad to prove you. As I told you about the population, you can be wrong. The point is, you made too many assumptions. Britain. America. Japan. France. They all do it better. Why? Well, even bums in New York City can, at the very least, scrape together at least one meal a day in between charity and state sponsored programs. Furthermore, these nations all have a healthily large middle class. As I said, you need to compare, not the abusolute value. China was poor, you need to compare the change. They can not be good in a day. This applies to every thing. They start to ban the goldfarmer, this is good. Even they only ban one. It is still better than before, they are making progress. Have you checked any data of these counties of last ten years before you post? Give food in New york city will not prove they are doing better over the last ten years. If they gave more ten years ago, then it is worse. Use facts and data, not assumptions. Back to the topic, I like to see if that can do something, although it might turn out to be not so effective. This is a good move. Goldfarmers is really a very tiny group of people and they are mainly not from the poorest. I do not think people will go hungrary because they stop goldfarming for a game. If you go to the public computer places in China, ( they call it "computer bar" or "internet bar" ), more than 80% are young people. More than 30% of them ( this is based on 4 different "bars" I was there ) are playing WoW. They just play for fun. What I want to say that I guess pure goldfarmers ( work for companies) might not be that much percentage as we feel. No one is playing Runescape  . The problem is if people play for fun and sell their gold at the same time. That will still be a large number. If more stolen credit cards are used in the virual game, more and more countries will ban RWT. I do not believe any government cares about fair and enjoyble of our games. RWT will cause more problems in real world.

  10. I think it is too politically here. We are discussing about game. However, too many people with too limited knowledge about China are attacking China with a lot assumptions. I think this should go to some other forum, not in the game discussion. I suggest forum MOD lock this thread or we stop argue about political things.

  12. Thanks for the perspective. But you must admit that neither Russia or China are Communist nations- the USSR failed and China adapted to a more free market. And you do gloss over the fact that China restricts the freedoms of its citizens far more than the classic free nations, as shown by the way they restrict internet usage, news, and family size. Furthermore, cities are not all of China. Of course they're going to look nice and free- after all, they do support tourism. Places where tourists do not go are probably far, far worse. Admittedly, you could say the exact same thing of the U.S., but the difference is the government doesn't force tourists to only visit certain places. I agree with zaaps1 more or less. You have not been to China, you do not know China. Please do not piblish further assumptions. If your country have 1.3 billion people, and you want the freedom. OK, then you will double to 2.6 bil. in a short time. Do we on the earth have enough resources for that? I can see that in big cities, young people get married much later than before and more people do not want to have child. It is a result of industrialization. Same all over the world. Who tell you that you can only stay in cities not to the countryside in China? If you do not know, quit please. Every country has something people do not like. I am in a rich country, we still have a lot of things we do not like. We do not pay a cent to go to doctor. However, we have to wait for a long time to have the operation, even it is cancer. Some of us have to go Germany and pay buy ourselvs. So, I would say it is a good thing that Chinese government banned on Goldfarming. Most of those goldfarmers are not from the poor countryside people, but young people from cities. I have not heard any family that their all income are from goldfarming. No one will go hungry. They just lose their jobs on goldfarming. So many chances in China. They will pick up another one. If I lose my current job, I will have trouble since very few chances here.
  13. 2/3 of the sales income of my friend's company are from China last year and 1/3 from the rest of the world. Atually, if they have probelm this year, my friend's compnay has to shut down. Do not fool yourselves if you do not know China recently.
  14. Go hungry? Have you been to China before? Do you know who is doing Goldfarmer thing? A lot of Chinese are much richer than you. Do not talk something you do not know at all!
