  1. wolfsoul, I will see what can be done to bring this in with a future update. Good suggestion. plugpoint, What happens when you press the level+ button? Do you have a crew member already selected from the dropdown list and their avatar showing before pressing the level+ button? it should increment their level by 1, and increase their base stats by 10% of their bse (normal levelling not including random personal boosts or traits).
  2. hey guys, Currently traits are not supported, but its something im working on adding, along with a whole host of other features. We could have waited until there was nothing left to add to this before releasing it... however it was decided that it would be far better to release it as is, and update when possible as people can use it right now and its still really useful. Traits is one of the next things im working on so its pretty high up on my list. :) Im unsure why the check/uncheck all wouldnt work though, could you let us know which browser / version you are using when that happens promise? Thanks for feedback people :)
  3. Would just like to say that I have more planned with this calculator, but it made sense to release this now as its very useful right now (and i use it myself every day for my daily voyages). any suggestions I will take on board.
  4. I spent about 10 hours last night and so far about 5 hours tonight creating a calc for POP's. Its now good enough to share with people, so here it is: http://webhostlet.com/POP.htm Its a bit rough around the edges right now... but all the calculations should work just fine. Theres still plenty more I want to do to it before I call it finished..... however I thought I would release it for those who want to use it for the time being. In case you hadnt worked it out, M: is morale, C: is combat and S: is seafaring. A: is active. (deselect characters which have already been sent out on another ship and are not available for the current voyage for example). Simply give the calculator your morale, combat and seafaring targets, and tell it which ship upgrades you have along with your crew stats. Hit submit, and select those attributes coloured in green. That will be the highest possible percentage of surviving you will be able to get (assuming my logic is working all fine and I havent made any mistakes, which I dont think I have but fingers crossed... the code is pretty complex to look over...) I plan on adding the ability to tell the calc which shipyard upgrade you have for ship bonuses to stats, and also if the mission is easy, I want to have the option to show you the setup using the lowest possible combination of crew members (sending out your worst ones) whilst still keeping the success chance at 100%. This is useful if you want to keep your key crew members for another voyage you will send out after this one and not waste them. I need to change the output text to look a lot prettier and more informative, like rounding the percentage chance of survival ETC. Lots more planned, but its there as of now for use. :) What you think?
  5. Hey! Im currently working on a ports calculator, to tell you what the optimal setup of ship upgrades / crew members would be for specific targets. So far I have it working for all ship upgrades and captains, and I will begin working on crew members in about 10 hours time... heres a screenshot of it in actionso far (BTW its a javascript file, so displays on a webpage for easy access by anyone): I will be prettying it up a little once its done of course... And also adding an option for which upgrade of your shipyard you have to determin the ship stats bonus which currently is not calculated. BTW, it displays there Entwined Rigging instead of Oxskin Rigging because Morale is the lowest stat, and increasing from entwined to oxskin didnt raise the success rate, just kept it the same. This is something I will be changing before I release it also. My question is... What do you think could be added? One thing I will be adding is if the success rate is > 100%, it will select the success rate with the lowest % above 100% to save more valuable crew members for your next ship to be sent out. Though I'm not too sure how to go about this just yet, as it is far more complex than it sounds. Also, if Anyone has any suggestions for how to "save" information you enter into the boxes for future use, I'm all ears. I have glanced at the use of cookies and it didnt look too friendly to me.... :(
  6. stormrage! i know who you are from RF now. I really thouroughly enjoyed RF. My only regret is not having enough time both before and after RF. I was working until 4am the morning of RF (in cardiff) and didnt have a place to stay the night so ahd to catch my last train home just as RF finished. next year thats a mistake i will not repeat however. If anyone was thinking of going this year but ended up not going, then please take the chance next year if you can. Ive not heard a bad review of the day from anyone. perhaps some improvement points... EG storage space as mentoned in the times... but other than that it was a brilliant day, and the attention to detail was astounding. :) (btw stormrrage, im pingu--2k6 from the clan chat. spoke to you the other day there.)
  7. hey! great guide, thankyou very much. i am cureently using this method. (as i type this! :P) I will log and post some stats for you into this post after every trip i log. (logging the current one). ill tell you my att and str lvls at beginning of trip, the cost per exp point (assuming a trip costs 5,062), and how much hp exp i get during the trip. (i am fighting controlled. i will tell you also, if you were training just one melee stat how much exp that would have got). i have adapted the strategy / equipment to suit my characters needs, so ill briefly explain what the trip involves for me here: a trip is determined as however long it takes for the monkeys to turn non-agressive. (from my research, this is TIME based, and not kill count based). since it is time based, i will always drink the same amount of prayer / super pots. i drink 2 doses of prayer potion, 1 super attack and 1 super strength. im 83 prayer and by the end of the trip, after having drunk 2 doses my prayer is usually on about 27.a trip costs 5,062. i included 2 law runes, 2 doses of prayer pot, 1 super att and 1 super str. (if buying 3 does pots) I have posted the singular stats in my trip one. i wont do this all the time, only when my str or att or both have chnaged significantly. 13. ok, i was going to buy an item, whish was priced 2.2-2.5 mil. He said meet him by edge. i giot there, and asked where he was. he said to meet him by the canoe. i went there, and he checke di had the muny on me. (im lvl 78, and he was 64) i wasnt too worried about the wildy, i could beat him easily, ormsoi thought, and he would have to make me go a lnog way out. anyway, he said ok, and told me to foolow him to the bank. i followed, then he did sumfing (my friend says she saw it dun before on sum1 else, she thinks ith a book) and it made me run unvolantarily into the wildy. the wildy warning box didnt come up. I cant have been further than lvl 2 wilsy. BTW, he stayed outside of wildy. Then, he started ancient magicking me! He hit me with a 22, it was an ice speel. i died and lost my stuff. I want to know: how he made me run off in front of him, and how no wildy warning came up. and also, how did someone 14 lvls below me fight me form outside wildy, and when i was only in lvl 2?!?! ny ideas?
