  1. FM would be great to use in combat. It can be used for many strategic purposes but will have some (possibly) nasty side effects. Maybe players and monsters will receive damage when walking over campfires but having regular boots or some other equipment on your feet will prevent all damage from standing on a campfire. This could be considered fire damage where some monsters are immune to fire damage and some could even absorb fire damage and heal. Also the ability to create a bonfire which forces monsters (that can be damaged from fire) two squares away and be a temporary shelter for everybody but all monsters that was scared away by the bonfire will become aggressive to everybody that is in the bonfire safe area. The bonfire will take up a 2x2 space on the map and logs can be added to the bonfire at anytime to increase the amount of time before the fire goes out. Weapons could even be lit on fire for a certain amount of time to deal regular damage with the addition of fire damage. Fire can also be a new type of poison where you (or the monsters) are set aflame and receive damage at intervals of time while the amount of damage decreases each time until the monster (or player) is no longer lit or death. Maybe the initial damage was 5 and then next is 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 and then the monster (or player) is no longer lit. What sets being lit on fire different than poison is that the lit counter stacks so if you are set to receive 3 damage next for the lit status and the monster deals the lit status of 5 again, the counter for the lit status will go up 8 and count down from there. This causes more damage if you add to the lit counter before it hits 0 than waiting for the counter to hit 0 and then reset the lit counter. Also using water (can be in a jug, bowl, bucket, etc.) on a player/monster that is lit will remove 5 from the lit counter and also put campfires and bonfires out.
  2. I think it is time to bring back this thread due to the new MAJOR update. I unfortunately was unable to find my latest map before the update to add to the collect. Hopefully somebody else does.
  3. It would be awesome if actions during a trade is told in the chat box. EDIT: Instead of just trade actions, why not everything else such as how much damage you did to a enemies and how much damage you received and much more. (Person 1) put up rune scimitar. (Person 2) put up 25,000 gold pieces. (Person 1) removed rune scimitar from trade. (Person 1) accepted the trade. (Person 2) accepted the trade. Trade confirmation now open. (Person 2) confirmed trade. (Person 1) confirmed trade. Trade completed, (Person 1) gave nothing, (Person 2) gave 25,000 gold pieces. Sorry, I couldn't think of something better so I went with the classic trading scam. I hope everybody thinks this is a good idea. Also, did anybody just notice that "Logging in multiple accounts/characters" is not listed in report abuse window?
  4. I agree, we really need more bank space. I am much of a pack rat and don't like to get rid for pointless reasons. The Grand Exchange helps only a little by allowing us to combine sets of armor into boxes but that is only for armor and what happens if you have uneven amounts of armor pieces (4 Rune Full Helms, 2 Rune Plate Bodies, 5 Rune Plate Legs, 1 Rune Weapon). I'm not here to put down this thread, I want to support this as I have so many items, I created a few extra accounts to hold the items I don't need on my main at the moment (Armor, Arrows, Weapons, Cut Diamonds, Body Tiaras, Body Runes, etc.) and also the random event items are killing 8 bank spaces. At least I could destroy the Holiday reward items (expect p-hats, Masks, etc.) and pick them up later at Diango when I need them.
  5. Everything can become a cause and most causes have effects. This is all a chain-reaction which leads to another thing which leads to anything and so on and so forth. It is like a Domino Effect which one thing can cause a lot of problems or benefits. Changes have a chance of creating a new set of chains or grow on an existing problem. This is all like a forest fire, will the our new actions help the fire grow or help fire die and neutralize the situation until it stops.
  6. I have a total of 3 characters. One main, one I use to hold my combat equipment, and the third to hold all my general items for skills like mining, smithing, crafting, and such. It is painful to be a f2p with all these items I can't afford to waste time selling and buying back just to fit in one bank.
  7. I don't really see much use in the skill assist. I'm glad they restricted the magic skill because I could imagine a lvl 3 casting Fire Wave in f2p world or maybe something much more horrifying in the member world especially the wilderness. Hopefully this new "Grand Exchange" will help Jagex auto adjust the prices in NPC stores so they move with the market (or be taken advantage of so players can easily make money off NPCs)
  8. I totally agree seeing how I'm a free player and don't mind the scroll bar at all and find the pop-ups annoying especially the skills menu. I would also not mind the option of changing the interface to a free player version with all the member only stuff removed. For free players, having members only stuff in the interface is a waste of space which could be used for better things. I would like either one so count me in. Why stop at the spells interface, why not the entire interface specially designed for f2p?
  9. I'm a f2p that stopped playing and only got on every other day after I stopped for over half a year. Does anybody know the following person? He helped me when I started and became one of my best friends and he was also p2p when I lasted seen him. Shootin Iron Shoot N Loot Nas T Mage All the accounts listed belong to him. Send me a PM here on the forums since I may not check back on this thread again for days.
  10. My idea is actually a large groups of new ideas including a possible new, expansion of current skills, and more. Sorry it can't be as fancy as other suggestions. Fell free to agree or disagree with my ideas and if you do, make sure you disagree without flaming. The first part of my idea is a new generation of skills which actually is higher levels of the current skills. The highest skill limit should be moved to 199 and the levels 100-199 would use a new set of equipment to gain experience and activities used to gain experience in levels 1-99 will be reduced to encourage people to stop using the basic skills (level 1-99) and start using the newer higher level skills. Examples of the second generation of the skills would include earlier versions of guns (muskets, etc.) for Ranging, matches and spark flints for Firemaking, steam-powered drill for Mining, steam-powered chainsaw for Woodcutting, and more complex recipes for higher chance of success without burning food for Cooking. The steam-powered tools would require water, wood, and a way to start a fire to further benefit higher levels of Firemaking. The steam-powered tools would even speed up the collecting process of Mining, Woodcutting, and other skills. The new complex cooking recipes for better quality foods would require that you have a cookbook with the appropriate card with the recipe you wish to cook in your inventory. In order to start the second generation skills, you would require to complete a special quest for Professor Oddenstein which is in the next part of my idea and to have at least level 80-99 depending on the skill but changing to the next generation skill earlier would still require you to go through the levels you missed to continue on with further levels. The second part of my idea is a way these futuristic inventions came to Runescape. As always, Professor Oddenstein was messing with his machine. Denath sent a group to spy of Professor Oddenstein as helpers or assistants to "help" perfect his machine. When Professor Oddenstein was about to try out the machine when it is near completion for Denath's plot, he gets attacked from an unknown creature and vanishes with the group sent by Denath. Ernest from a previous experiment was told to be caretaker of the Draynor Manor in case anything happened to Professor Oddenstein. While Ernest was cleaning up the manor, Ernest could not help but noticing that the machine starting running without notice and found a invisible portal which goes to a strange new world. After further study by Reldo, it was a portal to a whole new era in time. Reldo further explored the area on his own and never came back but Ernest learned from the locals of that time that a strange group of people in evil looking robes that believed in magical powers passed through a few days ago and seized the town. You must help Ernest learn more of the new era and stop whatever Denath's group is planning. After stopping Denath's plot of taking over the new world with his newly summoned demon that can only be harmed by Silverlight which this new time does not have, Denath's forces flee from the town and everybody is now free to do (almost) anything that they please which includes you exploring the new world. You can also fight the men of this time who are still loyal to Denath but be careful because their powerful muskets can deadly damage if you are unprepared as the Gods of Runescape do not exist in this new world so they won't hear your prayers for aid in the battles and you can't teleport to cities back in the normal time since you can only teleport between areas but not between time.
  11. My Runescape name is "Rune_Ology" which also means "the study of runes" which fits the game pretty well. But I created a second account using "Rune_Studies" but it was banned in the first week  because it is an offensive name for some reason but I never received a reply back with more details on why it was considered offensive :? and why my first account was not :-k (my first guess is that an amount of runescape players don't have the vocabulary large enough to understand what it means) :!: Sorry ahead of time if I offended anybody.
  12. In the Crafting Calculator, the Hard Leather Body is said to give 35xp in the "Leather Category" but Hard Leather Body is said to only give 15xp in the "All Category" which is actually supposed to be 35xp.
  13. Why can't people use some common items as weapons like the knife, harpoon, hammer, metal bars, stab with an arrow, and many other things.
  14. F2P: Trickiest: Ernest the Chicken, spent hours trying to get the oil can until I decided to look at the quest guides here. Dangerous: Dragon Slayer, almost got killed by lesser demon and dragon, atleast I brought runes to teleport out when things got bad P2P: No Idea, not a Member yet
  15. Discovery of a New Realm Zamorak's followers caused a lot of chaos within a hidden temple and tore a hole through time. The followers of Zamorak used the hole as a portal to a new realm that looks like the world of runescape we currently know. The followers took control and advantage of their presence which is unnoticed by the gods including Zamorak himself. Now the realm of Runescape's gods is under control by Zamorak's warriors and peace is beyond reach. Sedridor of the Wizard's Tower felt this breach in time affecting the entire world and causing invisible changes in the lives of Runescape's citizens and researched with his friend Aubury. Both soon realized what happened and found out that the Rune Essence Mine, Runecrafting Alters, the Rift, and the Abyss is located within that realm which will cause huge changes that both worlds can longer control when destroyed. Sedridor and Aubury went to King Roald, White Knights, and every other leader that would support them to stop and prevent any new changes caused by the followers of Zamorak. Soon, soldiers, mages, archers, and many other citizens to help the army survive gathered at the Wizard's Tower where Sedridor found to have a good connectiong to this new realm. Seldridor and Aubury worked and created a portal and found it is no different besides the clear landscapes with no buildings. Ships were made to ferry the citizens from the small island to main land and made the first settlement in this new realm in search of the lair of Zamorak's follwers. Benefits: 1. More space to put shops, monsters, quests, mini-games, etc. 2. Will double the world of runescape. 3. Can be done piece by piece. 4. More to the history of runescape. 5. A new seperate bank to store more items.
