  1. Crap, Remove this thread as someone has alredy made this thread DAMN IT!!!
  2. This game is simple. The first person posts what he or she would put into the Magic Vending Machine. These items do not have to have any relation to each other. The second person then posts what he or she thinks comes out, then states what he or she would put into the Magic Vending machine. Quote: Poster #1: I insert Doctor Who, Doctor House, Doctor Octopus and Doogie Houser, MD. Poster #2: You get a cranky time traveling doctor with a cane, two mechanical arms and acne. I then insert Captain Jack Sparrow, Dread Pirate Roberts, Captain Blood, Long John Silver and the Captain from Spongebob Squarepants. Poster #3: You get to walk the plank! I deposit into the machine... Everyone got the idea? Good. Let's start... I deposit into the Magic Vending Machine a trial subscription for World of Warcraft, two pizzas, a gallon of Mountain Dew, and Britney Spears.
  3. I know, but it matters. He is not mature enough to distinguish right from wrong. I hope he doesn't end up in prison.
  4. Pro-choice, From a scientific point of view (And I only base my opinions from science) The kid is not even close to human till about 3 months. I don't have pesky religion to tell me that's a sin and think about it, Would you want to be the kid of parents who don't want you/ can't afford you?
  5. First off, this is not about video games them self but about the parent's whining about the kid's playing them and what they should do about it (In my opinion) so please mod's do not move this thread. ;) I am a Teen (Really I am) and I have a friend who is an immigrant from Mexico. (His parents are illegal but he was born hear.) He is not a nice person, and he plays a lot of GTA on his PS2. He is not very mature and just sits there for hours killing cops and banging [garden tools]. I however have no consoles and play other games (Mostly FPS and RTS and TBS games) on my computer. My friend who I speak of got Halo wars for the Xbox 360 and Oh no, He NEVER plays it. He is so ignorant that he doesn't know how to manage anything and gets beat by the AI on EASY. Why you ask? He has never played any games that make him think. He probably would not like Half-life 2 or Civilization 4 or most other games I Bought. (And some torrented ;)) Parents should understand that if you raise a kid right they will know the difference between Right and Wrong. You should also raise the kid around games that make him think and are not just "Die dumb cop/alien/zombie/Nazi" in Half-life there are puzzles and it makes you think. "If I do A then B happens, That B is bad, lets do C, and D will happen. D is good" Say you take my same friend and expose him to half-life, Lara crofts Tomberator (Hot as hell I shall admit) and other puzzle intensive games he would have turned out a lot better. Parents shall also decide if a kid is ready for stuff is little Joey ready to play GTA when he is only six? I think not! What do you Tip iters think? Please post only CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS/OPINIONS
  6. So mudering someone is better then underage sex? at least they still live. but I can find a movie with a HELL of a lot of violence WAY before I find a movie with kinky sex...
  7. Ya know I sorta think that casual sex is not to bad, it's PLEASURE/REPRODUCTION nothing anymore.
  8. Well maybe Taboo's need to be lifted on such subject', I agree with the post above me a 3 year old should not see porn but what about a 4 year old watching robocop 2? What's wrong with a 11-13 year old wanting to jack off to some porn? Methinks that if there is ANY censorship with a perantal control's then they need to block more violence and less sex. There are way's to remotley control a computer from another computer. I have one called PC anywhere that I use for file transfer's with my mom's comp and she sometimes take's a look at what I am doing. I am perfectley fine with that. She's told me that she's fine with me looking at porn late at night or something one she's not up. I guess that growing up in a liberal family is sorta nice. For the record my mom makes the argument that porn give's kid's a flawd idea of what sex look's like. it makes them think that everyone's body is perfect.
  9. As the topic says, should it be legal? I think it should, it's not the government's job to tell you what to do with your body... (exceptions with crap like murder and child porn and whatnot).
  10. Maybe the parent's need to raise children who know what's right an what's wrong on the internet. parent's need to trust children without being Nieve, unless you have a really smart child who can delete there history, you can look at what there doing.
  11. I have seen some of the parental control's that lazy parent's try to use to make sure a kid does not access something "inappropriate". I'm thankful that my parent's don't use them on me and if they did I would disable them faster then they could say disable. I think that it's the parent's job to watch what the kid is doing and not what a stupid computer program does, I can think of any number of way's to get around them. any tech savvy teen or tween could also. I don't know why but I think of parental control's being used by the conservative "focus on the family" soccer mom's who want to protect there little bundle of joy from seeing a picture of a model in a swim suite. I oppose any form of parental control's and think it's mom's job to protect (insert name hear) from seeing somthing bad. What's you're view of the use of them. On a side note relating to violence/sex filter's, Why is it that in an R rated movie I can see PLENTY of violence but when ANY form of sex is shown it get's an NC-17? I mean sex is pleasurable. It's the reason why we still exist and it's constructive where violence is destructive. Hell my mom would rather have me see a porn flick (For the record she dosent care if I see em) wherest she's not a fan of me watching robocop 2 (but let's me watch them anyway). Why is violence much more accepted then sex when Violence is MUCH worse then sex? If you answer that I'll give you a cookie.

    Democracy

I am sorry that I had to post this in a new topic and would do it in my other one but fear that no one would read it. http://positech.co.uk/democracy/ This is a computer game that you can download the demo for that is you running a democracy. You can choose from any of them (only The U.K for the demo) and run it and see how you would do. I think it's a game that ANYONE need's to play at least 10 times before they make a decision on anything political. I know that the title post of my political idolgy thread was a FAIL but I tend to get carried away when I post about thing's I support. This thread is not about the game but more about the idea and I would really like it if you mod's did not put this in the video game sub forum. Again any spelling mistakes I made will be noted with a nice flame post about said person being a Spelling Nazi.
  13. As my siggy say's I think that socialism is a G.R.E.A.T Idea. I support the Social democracy. This which I agree with all of what they say (but I would go to the extent of the green's and want to vote for them or the peace party can't decide which) In general, contemporary social democrats support: * A mixed economy consisting mainly of private enterprise, but with government owned or subsidized programs of education, healthcare, child care and related services for all people. (I will admit I don't have health insurence and universal health care would be nice) * Government bodies that regulate private enterprise in the interests of workers, consumers and fair competition. (Has anyone noticed that deregulation that fiscal conservatives do for the "free market" has just screwed up our econmey) * Advocacy of fair trade over free trade. BIG YES * An extensive system of social security (although usually not to the extent advocated by democratic socialists or other socialist groups), with the stated goal of counteracting the effects of poverty and insuring the citizens against loss of income following illness, unemployment or retirement. * Moderate to high levels of taxation (through a value-added and/or progressive taxation system) to fund government expenditure. nessecery evil Social democrats also tend to support: * Environmental protection laws (although not always to the extent advocated by Greens), such as combating global warming and increasing alternative energy funding. * Support for immigration and multiculturalism. (I'm sorta iffy on this one, I think that illegals can go back to there country but I get called racist for this.) * A secular and progressive social policy, although this varies markedly in degree. * A foreign policy supporting the promotion of democracy, the protection of human rights and where possible, effective multilateralism. * As well as human rights, social democrats also support social rights, civil rights and civil liberties. (social liberal policy's kinda come with socialism, notice anything about capitalism?) * The regulations placed on the market by social democracy tend to limit economic efficiency and growth, and impede the creation of wealth that may be needed to alleviate global poverty. * Social democracy places unacceptable constraints on individual rights in order to reach its societal goals. * Social democratic programs sometimes entail large government outlays, which can result in sizable budget deficits. * State provision of education, health care, childcare and other services limits individual choice (and requires users to pay twice if they opt to use privately-run services). Social democrats reply along the following lines: * Social democratic policies actually enhance individual rights by raising the standard of living of the great majority of the population, increasing social mobility, raising the power of workers and consumers in society. * The unregulated market that fiscal conservatives advocate is incapable of addressing global poverty and inequality in an equitable way. * Social democracy stabilises economic conditions by providing economic security to individuals and eliminating the threat of extreme poverty. * The argument that social democratic governments spend too much and run up deficits is undermined by the record of conservative administrations (e.g. in the United States and the United Kingdom) which have run up unprecedented deficits. * By restricting some economic rights, social democracy makes the market more fair (for small businesses and consumers, for example).
  14. Just what the topic say's. List you're views on as many topic's as you can/want. for me Dude who I want for president: RAPLH NADER WOOOT!! \ =P~ helthcare (I know Miss spelled) universal and socialised by the goverment. iraq/afgan OUT NOW!!!! alternative sources of energy AT LEAST 100 billion a year from the goverment in building them. abortion, pro choice prostuation pro choice pro gay right's We need to fix the U.N and make it better. 15. I get in some trouble with my teacher's for asking them to figure out what's wrong with the 1=2 proof and the prime factorization of i (imaginary unit). One of the thing's I am trying to do (I'm just a tad bit young lol) is proof that p does in fact=np p=np is short for saying " if something is easy to verify, is it also easy to proof?" Not as easy as it look's most people would say, yea and most computer programer's would say, HELL NO :o ! Let me give you an example they try to use in solving this, Let's say you are a travling sales men, if there are 100,000 cities randomley placed across a map what is the quickest route to go from one to another and return to you're first spot. It would take a supercomputer million's of years to solve that....
