  1. I experienced the same thing when I thought I was running through a hole and actually ran through flame and took no damage. I tried staying in the water but that just got me burned.
  2. I just fought the queen and after trying to attack her over and over and the healers healing, I did something different. I STOPPED attacking the queen and stood outside her blast range. If a defiler came, I killed it and I let the archers first kill the healers (twice) and then the queen. I did no damage at all myself, but the archers took her out. Even if the defiler killed one or two of them before I could get to him, they were replaced within seconds. Also, the queen stopped using her blast since I wasn't in range. She just stood there and eventually died. SUPER SIMPLE.

I confirm what Dave said. I just completed it and didn't use any armor or weapons. It was not easy, but doable. It would have been FAR easier with armor for the extra LP. As far as getting equipment if you die. Not including any items (glory) you can use the edgeville lodestone and just run east along the wilderness wall (below it), you will get there in time to get your gear back. Having said that black d'hide does pretty good in LP so you should be fine.
