Oh Parents, Part V

(0 reviews)

;) What? You think my parents can go through a week without this?

Dad: So how long is your training again?

Me: Two weeks on site, one week in field.

Dad: Okay.

Not even five minutes later...

Dad: So your training is two weeks long?

Me: No, three weeks total, one being in the field.

Dad: Okay.

A few minutes later...

Dad: So, you're going to be there for two weeks?

Me: :wall:

:-? If he's trying to start a conversation, this is sure a bad way to get one going lol.

Haha, my parents do the same thing. I don't know if they're trying to have a conversation, or if they just don't pay attention to anything I tell them. It annoys me to no end.

Parents just don't pay attention. We do try hard though, but we have so much other stuff going on in our heads like: what are we going to make for your dinner and do you have enough clean socks to take with you on your trip and I wonder how he is going to get there, do I have to drive him AGAIN?
