Hello and let me welcome you to the first official statistical posting of The Data Bank Log Book. I have spent the last 5 days camping out in the RuneSpan, grinding my way up the chain and watching Doctor Who. I have spent almost 24 hours in the last 5 days in the RuneSpan searching for the best way to gain exp, and silly me I was farming the Law Esshound and the nodes that popped up around him. That turned out to be a good move and a bad move at the same time, gained plenty of essence and points but very little exp for the time spent. I ended up searching for the bots and found them camping around the middle of the area, just farming the nodes that popped up. I have read several guides that tell me to stay away from this, and to stick towards the high level nodes and mobs running around. So like any good person I followed the bots and with great results.

Now Looking back at the numbers its easy to see that this is one of the best, if not the best, way to train Rune Crafting. This method is only this productive if you keep ontop of the higher nodes, fire nodes, and if you have a large amount of rune essence. Most of the nodes are right next to floating essence and smaller low level mobs. I suggest that if you wish to follow this training method that you get a stockpile of about 8000 essence before farming the nodes. I have found its best to farm an air essling right at its spawn, this will give you the most exp you can gather with the highest success rate while starting a nice large pile of essence. Remember that your success rate will vary with your Rune Crafting level, so dont expect to get the same results with a lower Rune Crafting level.
