Fox just pisses me off. They start airing family guy. Cancel it. It goes on adult swim and becomes popular. Fox sees the money they could be making. They decide to make new episodes. I saw a commercial the other day where fox says "We had the guts to air Family Guy. And now we're ready to bring it back home." Acting like they did nothing wrong.
Bastards.

This will be the first battle held on the new forums (might be the first on the tip it forums ever, I don't know).
How it works: I am providing a stock image. All contestants then can do whatever they wish to create a new image using it. A poll will then be held to see who did the best job.
Who can participate: This contest is open to everyone (including myself :wink:)
Rules:
- 1 image per contestant.
- The original image must still be visible. In other words, do not just make a bunch of layers over the original to where you can not even tell what the image looked like.
- 2 stock images are permitted. If you use a stock you must provide a link. If you steal the image of google or somewhere else without permission, you will be disqualified.
Deadline: Thursday, June 24 (Sorry for not providiing much time but I am going out of town that friday and may be gone for a while, not sure)

Its good to have as perfect a layout as is possible, because sites with poor design/layout tend to fail. Glad to be able to help :)
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm looking for hosting right now and it's funny how I tend to just leave after looking at the layout sometimes and not even the plans.

I've seen some similar layouts before, but I like how it looks. The colors go well. I havnt seen a whole lot of sites use orange, and it goes well with the grays.
Just a couple minor things you could change. In the navigation, is the spacing between all of them the same? The right line of Affiliates looks a little further away than the rest.
Also, Meltcore news. In the other 3 tables, Meltcore is on the right, and the orange text is on the left. Maybe you should keep it the same on this one.
Overall it looks pretty good

Quite a while ago I had made some posts about a layout I was designing for a site (which I still haven't gotten up) but a month ago or so I redid the layout. Looking for some feedback.

It's 350x100.. trying adding that 50 in 350 to the 100 :P that will make it the correct size

Please post examples, since going by your sig as an example people would just be getting sig strikes.

- Back mountain is, as previously stated by many, choppy and unrealistic.
- Texture is very bland.
- It's really just a text slap. The writing ruins the flow of the landscape and could easily be better with out it. Try and integrate it in more.
