  1. So I hate to start another thread about "what will happen if the old wildy gets implemented into the game", but I don't think I've seen this issue addressed so far.

If the old wildy is reintroduced into the game, than players will be able to kill each other anywhere in the wilderness, and this would include the scores of green dragon botters out there. I am not at all condoning the use of bots, but they do without a doubt introduce massive amounts of dragon bones into the game, keeping prices low (low-ish). But with them gone, a major source of dragon bones will dry up with them. Another possible reason for the price of bones to spike is that pking might become more popular, and although many dime a dozen pures try to avoid training prayer, I've heard many stories of turmoil pures that would require massive amounts of bones before they could pk.

Anyone agree, disagree? What do you think will happen to the price of dragon bones?

Although you say you don't condone bots, you are placing them in what looks like a positive light by saying they kept prices low. That is like you walking into a store and seeing a t-shirt sellin for $20 and saying "Not that i condone slavery but it sure kept cotton prices lower than this". The result of bots is a fake market. I'm always in favor of market corrections . People adjust and life goes on. Higher prices are not evil, lower prices are not evil.

lolwut, comparing me starting this thread about botting in which I simply give credit to the fact that botters introduce massive amounts of resources into the game to saying that I support slavery? Please leave.

It is a tongue in cheek comment.. Obviously you don't support slavery. The point is that this "issue" that you say you want to address --- just isn't one. An " issue" requires conflict or controversy- which implies that rising prices are evil and that somehow bots negated that. There is no issue. bone prices have fluctuated greatly in the last 7 years as has nearly every resource in the game.

why don't you create a thread for every resource every time it goes up or down in price due to a game update? Maybe we should all do that and make thousands of threads. My point was just that there is no "issue" that needs to be addressed. If anything its a positive market correction.

  3. Are you people serious? If it weren't against the rules to sell/buy accounts, and someone offered you even $500 - you could probably turn around and buy a better account from someone else for $400...at this point the only difference is the name of the account. Is your RuneScape characters *name* really worth that much to you guys? 5 grand, 1 million dollars, a house/car/etc...like, honestly?

Honestly, I'd sell my main for anything over $200, $100 if I was gonna quit in the near future.

$200 or $100 is like 1 hour of work for some people. Wouldn't dream of selling for less than 6 months salary if it was allowed :P

  4. Did this nerd just call someone a "barbarian"?

Lmao, I haven't seen that since I picked up some cheesy 80's flicks when I was traveling crosscountry last summer.

Did this barbarian just call someone a nerd?

We can go back and forth all day and you basically just made my point.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

  5. lol 3hit. you are my puppet. i love it.

i absolutely love this post. All i see are dollar signs. It looks like i'm going to make more money than i ever have in any 3 month period- and that is alot comming from a rune smith in the old rsc rune market.

Put your protections on. take them off. kill each other. Pures hate non pures and vice versa.

Attack first. Call each other noob. Chose to follow some lame "honor code" or hate the ones who don't.

    Thank you barbarians.

It has been a lucrative month and its not stopping.

  6. So all of the people who have played the game for awhile and take the time to read everything and make sure they know the risks should suffer?

You admit then there is risk.

The game should function without loopholes at its core. It should not rely on forums or the "well if you play long enough you'll know better policy".

Anti-scam is a nice technique developed out of necessity - but it is not good game development.

Finally a fix to the problem. The economy will survive it and move on like it always does- if that means things are more expensive/cheaper or skills more difficult/easier to train...- then so what? Price changes and training methods have changed hundreds of times in the last 6 years.

  7. It's a fake economy. Once the cheaters are banned or stopped in some way- prices regulate to how they should be. If its more expensive to do fletching then... oh well. thats the price. It just seems high because your used to a unnaturally deflated price.

the same thing happens in real life with jobs/resources that are un naturally low in salary due to an influx people taking advantage of illegals or the underage.

  8. You can't call something a power training guide if you miss some very important things that every power trainer looks for.

Exp per hour for each animal you hunt.

What is the Fastest exp regardless of how much money you lose.

Amount of money You can earn while doing the skill if any

  9. For those of you having trouble selling your maples:

Simply cut them into longbows, get your karamja gloves (any level will do) and go to brimhaven. You can sell them to the charter ship there for 112gp each.

You can easily sell 1k a minute which is a lot quicker than you could sell logs or unstrung bows to other players. :P

You only get 58.25 xp per bow but it avoids the nightmare of having to sell maple logs and gives you about 50% more money than you would get for selling them.

    don't think this works anymore???

  10. Quite possibly the worst barrows guide i have seen. (or "add-on" as u call it)

    * you've lost a 5.8 million gp spear doing it

    * Dharoks hp comes back to full if you climb stairs so this takes time as he DOES hit hard, especially when he is low on hp.

    * Using noted food is not as efficient as you claim. In fact its a total pain.

Don't you think a couple doses of ppots per round would have been worth not losing the 5.8 m spear and god knows what else- bet ya lost over 7 mill that time total.

Hope no one follows this advice.

  11. When posting a rewards thread for a quest it is important to remember that the exp reward for mosts quests is negligible for most power skill trainers as is the case with this one.

the important questions lie in other benefits such as new spells, items, equipment, and time saving things such as teleports and shortcuts.

    So.....

What is the function of the magic secateurs? and is there anything else that makes this quest worth doing? Thanks!!!

  12.

If they didn't agree to sell for 50k then it wouldn't be 50k would it? Now shut up so we can get back on topic :D

your notion that all the smithers were working together is ridiculous. thats not how it was at all. prices are set by the barbarians who need them to pk. more barbarians results in a demand for more production. Regardless of your assertion, the bottom line is you are happy with lower prices as was the rest of the barbarian community. or pay double and prove me wrong

  13. Actually the reason the prices dropped is YOUR FAULT.

if you bought a r2her for 50k instead of 2 million then YOU decided to agree to the price drop.

A good friend of mine once told me:

When was the last time you went in to buy a music cd for $8.95 and said to the cashier "Oh my god, this price is too low, can i pay $19.99??"

Bottom line is the reason prices are low is because you all demand it to be low. higher demand, more production, and newer better equipment all are reasons why prices dropped.

SO its YOUR FAULT. Stop blaming the early smithers. in the end You love prices lower.
