  1. I lean towards scientific, or trying to be efficient.

I like doing the calculations for various options of training. I may not always pick the fastest one, but it's nice to know the options.

Knowing all the options and the results of those choices is always a big plus for me.

  2. ... that if you're F2P, the key to Melzar's maze is non-recoverable after finishing the Dragon Slayer quest? So if you want to enter the maze again, be sure to keep your key. If you're P2P, you can buy another key to the maze, but you have to finish the Legends Quest first!

This is not true anymore. F2P can now get another key by talking to the Champions' Guildmaster (I've done it).

  3. Buy/mine iron and coal to make steel bars, sell steel bars, buy iron bars and smith those (platebodies of course). My calculations show is the fastest way, and depending on the ratio that you sell steel and buy iron bars, you can lose money, make some cash, or break even.

  4. Lol spiders don't auto-attack you since you're too high level, most people don't encounter that problem.

Now flesh crawlers are good stuff cuz they auto-attack anyone until that 15 min. or so time. They will probably be the fastest exp. but they have so-so drops.

    Dropwise... Lessers?

  5. p2p or f2p?

For f2p, SoS flesh crawlers (lv. 28) or spiders (lv. 50) are good because you don't have to pay too much attention. :-w

At your level, I think f2p people prefer spiders.

Ankous (lv. 75, 82) are also popular I think.

Lessers are good for the famous rune med drop.

I would go for Mossies for prayer training.

As to atk/def, I would suggest seeing how often you are hit by what you are training on. If too often, then def.

  6. I'd go with burning in Rimmington.

I don't think selling them to gen. store is worth the time, and banking to sell/burn is not worth the time either.

Plus, then you raise fm skill too, just in case. Raising skills is always good.

  7. For mining coal, the Mining Guild (if Mining level 60) is usually said to be the bestl

Check out the Edgeville dungeon mine if you don't like crowds, there's usually no one there mining coal.

The bone yard looks like it's gone, it's not on Jagex's world map anymore. :boohoo:

  8. It looks like making steel bars to sell then buying iron bars is the way to go.

My estimates show 13k exp/hour vs. 11k exp/hour keeping some bars, and that includes high alching time. 18k more gp/hour by keeping some steel bars, though.

  9. Some guides I've read suggest doing the iron/coal -> steel thing for money then buying iron bars (all using GE, of course). I thought maybe I would try that, or smithing some of the steel bars so I at least break even.

Mine iron for mining exp instead of buying if you want mining exp too,

I'm interested in this too, I want to do some calculations, but too late for me now. I'll mix some numbers next morning and we'll see.

There's probably also some guides out on this if you search... but I like doing my own research too.

  10. The Guild has a lot of rocks so most people tend to favor it... as a result it's usually kinda crowded. But you're not 60 yet.

I agree with Mucky, I like Edgeville because it's not too crowded usually. Lv. 22 and 25 skeletons, tho, so depends on your combat/armor.

  11. I'm not sure on this but it seems like randoms occur on the first action (right after you click) so maybe just stay a little after you click to see if random appears. Stop you from having heart attacks hopefully.

I've been teleported a couple times from smithing/crafting silver in Al Kharid, and had a couple randoms right after clicking "craft X". Small body of evidence, but it might help. :D
