  1. It is possible for free players to get Construction up to level 5 (I've done it), you just have to be creative. ;)

*shrug* I was just quoting Jagex' news feed  If it slipped by them as a bug or if they coded it as possible, and/or lied in their news feed, then that's different, lol...

But now, question is: Were you able to enter the house portal and actually *build*...?

It was so hard to imagine the death of a god till you actually went through the quest.

    Zaros... ... ...

    Just saying.

[spoiler=May spoil the quest. Click only if you've finished or literally don't care.]Chances are, Guthix isn't actually dead... I think It's just "banished metaphysically" from the plane, similar to how Zaros is. Remember: Zaros is only "returning" through the concentrated, deliberate efforts of his followers.

Guthix' last words were: "Forget me"... It's possible that It doesn't want to be brought back to the plane, because It admits that balance is skewed by Its very presence, and because It wants the player to work towards the very goal that It had.

Check it: Zaros was stabbed with the Staff of Armadyl. What was Sliske using to kill Guthix?

IMHO: Zaros' continued existence, despite having been "killed" by Zamorak says to me that Gods never truly "die"...

Speculation: Again, with the Zar/Zam comparison... Is Sliske now a step closer to being a God himself, having "killed" Guthix? Or is it the player who is closer, having been physically with Guthix at Its' end...?

There's no evidence, truly, that the killer gets the power, as the killer usually stayed within physical proximity, whereas Sliske teleported away immediately after, and /left/ Guthix to die... While we may not "know", as a character, that we have Its power, it seems to me like we have it. My opinion is based on the facts that we were with It the whole time as It died and Saradomin couldn't teleport us away with all his godly abilities.

Further speculation: If we indeed do have Its' powers, what does that say about the other Gods? Ever since Jagex released the information of Zamorak's ascension, the thought has troubled me: What if every god that we know of in-game was truly a mortal at one point or another. This new quest further solidifies that thought. Could Saradomin, Bandos, Armadyl, Zaros, etc. (and every other god that comes through with the Edicts gone) all have been mortal once, and killed their own god, or been closest physically to one as they died? ... Could the future of our characters involve an "unforeseen" ascension to Godhood somehow?

  2. In Just a Taste, it is said "Will the servers crash when every free player builds a house?"

The Jagex news report actually addresses this: "it is now possible to train every members' skill (with the exception of Construction) up to level 5"... Just wanted to bring that to peoples' attention. Chances are, the servers will /probably/ not crash from free player building a house...

Oh btw that demon is Zamorak's!!!!

    K'ril Tsutsaroth

If you were in any doubt that the God Wars Dungeon was challenge enough for you, look no further than the giant demon, KÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ril Tsutsaroth. Once thought of as nothing more than a myth, this beast of the darkness has destroyed towns and levelled entire cities, leaving nobody alive to confirm his existence. This intense brutality and strength has ensured his position as one of Zamorak's most feared tools of destruction. His powerful melee attacks will crush all but the strongest of warriors.

that demon is the sex. <3:<3:<3:<3:

That demon is what Rob Zombie must have envisioned (visually) when he wrote SuperBeast.

I posted earlier on, but it was about 12 hours ago, so i figured i'd post a new reply. I mentioned how i was going to test the line in the guide that says you don't gain any experience, and after about five waves of being an attacker, i've noticed that the melee and ranged attacks give no experience, however, you gain the magic experience gained by casting, this tells me that health damage experience is all that's negated, and you are able to gain magic xp in the battle area...

Wow, okay, that's good to know. Was it 4xp per hit, or 2xp, or ... what?

Not sure what you mean by this part:

health damage experience is all that's negated

Please advise, we do want to get the guide right. Thanks for posting!

Forgot to check back to see for replies >_>;; sorry about that.

    ***original message edit***

    What i mean by "the health damage xp is negated", is that you only get the experience you normally would from casting the spell, in other words, if you cast fire bolt in barbarian assault, that would give you 22.5 xp (casting) + 0 xp (per hit). (edited part) Thereby meaning that any damage caused by anything, melee, ranged, or mage, is turned to the equational equivelant of 0. I.E. you can hit for 23 damage, but the game will record it as 0 damage, in terms of experience gain. (end edit) Going to quickly check to see if they've removed the xp-per-cast from the barbarian assault game. And again: sory it took so long to check back ^-^;;

    ****EDIT****

Yes. it's still in place, you gain xp by casting spells still. but not from additional damage.

  5. It was done first in Adobe Illustrator, especially the gradient, and it took forever to find a good image of the Guthix symbol, in-game (check Guthix Mjolnir, symbol on the top of the hammer part...). The symbol(s) were made using the pen tool, as was the blade of the halberd, and the image was exported to Photoshop for Layer Effect work.

I chopped it up a bit for use in siggies and such, the font is Harrow Solid Bold, for those who are curious. I prefer those fonts for the way the lowercase A is shaped...

    *****EDIT*****

Oh, also: Admins, if the file size is too large, or the dimensions are too large, please sent me a PM explaining the size limits for the thread, as the stickied rules don't cover limits outside of siggies.

  6. K, thanks. It made sense that they wouldn't, but it also made sense that they might, as well. I mean, if they did, it'd probably be all too easy to repeatedly kill, say, a steel dragon for the possibility for d legs, but on the same sense, it would make sense if they did, because of the difficulty of defeating that many steel dragons in the first place, lol. So I was just checking. Not that I, personally would make a steel dragon in my home >_> probably burn the place down and I'd have to start building again from scratch xD.

  7. I'm planning my house for later on, and I have everything mapped out and figured out except for one thing. The creatures you can "build" in the dungeons, do they drop the stuff that the outside counterparts drop, or are they just hollow clones meant to represent the difficulty of fighting an actual version of the creature...? I'd like to know beforehand, so I don't go and waste money on something only to find out that I'd have 0 chance of gaining it back by killing the creature repeatedly...
