  1. I tried to fill mine with all the "hard" to get pets years ago, but got tired after months of daily unsuccesful phoenix lair runs. Since then they have added Vitalis, all the barrows bobbleheads and probably some other hard ones too, so I'll never Finish my collection

  2.

A new mid to high level city

That includes the ability to crystal sing for ourselves and thus a bunch of new crystal equipment, possibly including some new bests (lvl 70 axe and pick maybe?)

It also includes new training spots with new ways to train.

    New combat training locations.

    A quest prior to launch

Just because you have a personal preference there is no need to outright ignore half of what we have been promised with the other option. Not to mention half your points are invalid.

A skill can just as easily be dead content as an area, something like firemaking that gets minimal use and is only trained for the sake of levels is a perfect example of a dead content skill.

You cannot say either update will or will not be dead content, you are not psychic and cannot foresee how they will go.

Since they are competing for the same dev budget odds are they would receive similar dev teams so it is totally bogus to claim one will likely be done badly and the other won't and by the same measure the skill is just as likely to suffer from the same underwhelming rewards and below average xp as the city.

Equally if the city sucks it also has the chance to improve later, more so than a skill areas can have new content and quests plugged in easily.

If your gonna make a case for it at least make real points and not just fling arguments that can just as easily apply to both options on the one you dislike whilst singing the praises of the one you do.

I didn't expect a serious answer, but just to clarify, it was a joke to counter those "durr if you don't vote for the city, you are bad" -replies.

Although, I'm still right and your whole reply was delusional and [bleep]ing retarded. Ad hominem is 100% justified here.

  3. A new skill, which will probably suck at first but has a chance to be improved later:

-Will satisfy my autistic grinding needs for at least a few weeks

    -Will never be dead content

-Even if it sucks, it should make divination at least a little less useless

    OR

A new mid-to-high level city and a quest that are far overdue:

-Most of the budget will be spent on pretty graphics, actual content will be more than likely heavily neglected

-Likely created by untalented and/or unexperienced people who don't know the game at all resulting in underwhelming rewards and below average exp rates

-Will be dead content within a week

-If it sucks, it will probably be treated like POP was.

-At least we get two spins for finishing the quest

    The choise should be obvious.

  4. New trees will probably be a disappointment like the high level farming update was. I will be really surprised if sirenic armour won't degrade to dust like the tectonic armour does, also the concept art looks even worse than death lotus armour [hide][hide][hide]in my opinion[/hide][/hide][/hide]

  5. For the 20 items sinkhole task I deposited exactly 20 totems at the same time (both combat & exploration totems). Non-totem items didn't work for me when I tried earlier. It doesn't matter where you deposit them.

I'm not sure if it works when you deposit them separately or if you deposit more than 20 totems at the same time. The task name hints at totems. Most people probably already finished that task, but I know some people are still strugling with it so I hope this helps.

E: you get the task completed message when you deposit the totems, not at the end. You CAN get both tasks done in one game.

Got my last scroll earlier today.

You can still send at least one scroll voyage after claiming your 80th scroll if you get another scroll voyage on your roster before claiming the last scroll. Not sure if new scroll voyages can appear after claiming the final piece though.

  7. Jabuli Zanik is horribly broken, I would actually be curious how they can fix those quests within the next month without creating bigger problems

Death to the Dorgeshuun, the final quest that was disabled before the original launch of Old School RuneScape is in testing and should be available in the next update which will most likely be next week.

I hope they don't delay it.

  8. I'm sorry - I must have missed it, but why doesn't anyone attack the loafers, again? unsure.gif

Maybe they have auto-retaliate on? Or killing 138s is just too difficult. I don't know.

It's a safe mini-game. Why not simply engage them and at least make them participate? At least then they've nothing to complain about, right?

Your average loafer is armed to teeth. One does not simply harass loafers.

  9. You can't lose any runes if you successfully finish the random event. Obviously if you fail an event and get teleported outside the runespan, you will cash in the points and lose your runes.

Source: Me and my 171000 points (I've gone through the full random event cycle over 2 times already)

  10. Did the quest last night and managed to survive the shadow attacks by just eating a ton.

Running and looking away doesn't stop the damage Sy. Apparently by the RSOF you also need to turn the camera away from him too.

lol wat, thats blatently RSOF unreliable nonsensical babble. Camera view would never effect combat.

Plus the sheer number of good reliable questers on this thread who have beat him and avoided damage from the shadow attack by just running away kinda proves otherwise; especially since standard combat tactic is to keep the camera on the foe.

I certainly kept my camera pointed at Vanstrom for the entire fight all 3 times and no shadow attack damage.

    Yeah.

Jmods often post nonsense that turns out to be incorrect tbf and thats certainly not a jmod name known for reliable info.

But like I said I never turned the camera off Vanstrom and I avoided all shadow damage.

Well, she is the main developer of this quest and she posted some other serious replies on that thread (It's on High level forums). I trust her on this.
