  1. Lol, I won't be planning on spilling anything on it again. I am usually very careful with my stuff, except during heated matches of SCII... accidents can happen.

That newegg site is pretty cool, sorry for all the questions but while browsing I found a few more deals that caught my eye.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115855

Here is the first, it is an Acer but it has a dedicated graphics card (this is good right?) and most reviews (most about gaming) have been fairly positive minus a few issues with heating.

Another ASUS that has gotten good reviews.

Any input on those? If any of those are good I may just order off the site, if not I will check at some local shops tomorrow when I get off work.

  2. Alright well just looking online I have found a couple good deals I might be interested in.

    I found this...

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor+/+15.6%22+Display+/+4GB+Memory+/+640GB+Hard+Drive+-+Dark+Navy/1257685.p?id=1218243754694&skuId=1257685

Wanted to see if any of you guys had any comments on it. It seems to fit most of my needs and it has gotten some pretty good reviews.

  3. If you go with Asus you won't regret it. Is it Starcraft or Starcraft 2 that you play?

Also you could've just force shut down the computer as soon as it happened and let it try for 48 hours, would've still been like new.

It's starcraft 2. And I did force shut it down but only for 24 hours and it worked fine for about 2 weeks until everything went downhill.

I'm going to browse at some shops and see if i can find any deals, is it better to buy online or in person?

  4. Well, I'm an idiot and recently spilled half a bottle of water all over the keyboard of my laptop. Surprisingly it still works but runs horrifically slow, almost to the point that I wish it would have just broke. Anyways, I am considering buying a new laptop. Since I am not loaded with dough I wanted to get some suggestions on machines that would get me the most bang for my buck. I am looking for a decent gaming laptop for around $600-$700 (maybe $800 at most). I know that cheap gaming laptops don't really exist but I am not really a hardcore gamer (runescape, minecraft, and maybe a bit of starcraft is all I really play). I'll try and get as much detail as I can for what I am looking for...

-Mostly going to be used to light gaming, music, movies, etc.

-Will be plugged in about 90% of the time so battery life isn't really necessary

-Will be mobile quite a bit between school/home

Brands don't really matter as well since I don't know much about them. My first laptop was an Acer which lasted me about 4 years until it died due to heating problems. This one I have now is an HP which really wasn't the greatest but was decent. I have read that ASUS makes some quality laptops, but again I am unsure. Size doesn't really matter either and I don't know what else to put. If you need anymore information let me know.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

  5. Edit: I apologize, this should have been posted in Help & Advice. :-?

I'm setting my next goal as 99 mage. I'm 94 atm and was just pondering some methods for maxing it out.

I'm looking for fast methods to do this, they don't necessarily have to be efficient or cheap. I've heard casting plank make is fairly quick and cheap exp but it seems a bit tedious. A while back I got 99 range by chinning monkey skeles, would barraging be a viable method as well? I know barrage runes cost considerably more than a chinchompa but I would be hitting more and getting more exp per shot.

Does anybody have any other suggestions on what I should do?

  6. So if the Hati wolf is only going to be around for January, and we will get it soonest a week from now, it could be here for like 19 days? Gf developer time there. Really, quite well played Jagex, way to bring absolutely nothing long term to the game expect content that's accessible for 19 days and then becomes a part of lore.

Pardon my language but that the [bleep]ing stupidest waste of developer time I have ever heard of. We need a boss for years and they finally release two in one month, oh but don't worry, one is going to be gone for most of the year anyways. So stupid, maybe that time could have been put into something lasting.

    Edit: added more rage.

Well now it may not seem like such a great idea but they did mention that this will be the first of many seasonal updates. Once they take it out of the game it's not gone forever, it'll be back next year. The way I see it is, it's guaranteed content to look forward to. This time next year we can all look forward to three or four more regular game updates PLUS the Hati wolf PLUS whatever other seasonal content may be out at the time.

So I do see this benefiting us in the future. Either that or it will end up like all of the holiday updates, no one wants them but we do them anyway.

  7. How can you reset your bonus xp timer? I realised that counter does go down in f2p too...

    You cant.

Then why were people talking about it?

It happens randomly. It resets only once, but it's random when it happens.

I got on about an hour ago, reset after 2 minutes for me. <_<

Oh well, having fun. 500k herb exp in 1 hour ftw and still 5k antifires left to make.
