  1. So I'm trying to do Blood Runs Deep, which requires Glorious Memories, which requires 41 hunter. I've got a fair amount of cash (~10m), if i even need it to level hunter. Best way to 41? I've checked tip.it's skill guides and tried searching archive of wisdom. Halp.

    Edit: I'm level 1 hunter.

  2. I'm thinking mage-melee would be the way to go, or would it? I'm P2P and high level pking. What can i do to make him a viable PKer? Just getting back into the game, btw. Used to pk back in the day when castle and mage arena were the places to be at.

  3. Well it all began when I wanted to do some power barrowing using notes and buying back from the general store, but then i couldnt since i needed to do the quest first. So it all seemed pretty easy doing shades of mort'ton until I needed to build the temple. I couldn't get enough buddies to do it, so yeah I need to gather up a team. If you're interested pm me on go5u or post here. Hopefully we can get enough people online at the same time who will be willing to do it. So yeah, help out :D

  4. Hello, well I was on my way back from barrows and I saw this dude who had fire cape. Being the impulsive person I am, I was like, "Oh dayum I want a fire cape now..." so yeah...I want a fire cape, but am I cut for it?

So in your opinion, one out of, what, four legendary items in the entire game makes a typical example of the grinding involved in getting, quoting your first post, "good gear"?

I can only speak for my class, warrior.

Good PVP set: Marshal to field marshal. What is it but grind to get this "good gear" with your guild, PVP arena battle after another?

Good... Other set? Dreadnaught or if you're willing to settle for less, wrath (tier 2) set.

Atleast Warriors actually get a proper armour set, what do Druids get?

    Tier 0: Rubbish

    Tier0.5: Expensive and still rubbish

    Tier 1: Healbot set

    Tier 2: Healbot Set

    Tier 3: Healbot Set

    PvP Rare: alright hybrid gear

PvP Epic: very good hybrid gear

The problem? to be effective in PvP, a druid needs to have such good epic gear which most guilds won't let you bid DKP on because they're for others classes. Once you hit 60, it's almost impossible to get the PvP sets unless you're in a really good guild that lets you bid on whatever you want.

Also of notice, the fact that none of the sets are decent for a Feral Druid or Balance druid (which is a ridiculously gear dependent build, to even be effective, you need atleast 300 +spell dmg on your armour and even then, being able to do 1k dmg with a 3 second cast time is rubbish).

It's also a problem for priests who only have their PvP armour sets to compliment Shadow spec, but atleast they get a speciliast set, druids only have healbot sets for specialisation.

But then again, (sorry if it sounds discriminating) I thought druids and priest are by 'natural choice' healbots. Warriors keep the aggro and mages/warlocks blast the monster, while "other" classes usually have to settle with buffing and healing. Hence I didn't pick a class like Paladin or Priest (though making a "Shadow Priest" sounded tempting but I never got to it)

they are natural choice for healbots, Druids and Priests are the best healers in the game, but it doesn't mean that every single armour set should improve their healing considering a large portion of the game is PvP, having armour that boosts the combat ability is crucial for these two classes and sadly Blizzard have failed for end game itemization for both classes.

The only problem is that shadowpriests are actually very good PvPers, druids on the other hand are incredibly difficult to PvP with (most people consider them a free HK), and having poor itemization for a class which is supposed to be a "hybrid" is one of the reasons why druids are the most unpopular class in the game.

You guys also forgot that shamans and paladins heal too. Except pallys are friggin cheap as hell, they're basically priests with plate armor on. And what else do they get? Divine Intervention....They friggin just go up to you, bubble up, and consecrate. I hate pallys. And the alliance. Anyway, shadowspriests are useless for everything cept pvping. Druids are a really fun class to play with because you can spec balance and get moonkin! but nobody usually plays that :( But if you spec feral then you own in pvp, unless you suck. Have u seen the druids that go bear form then when they get low on hp transform back and heal then back to feral again? Man they own... BTW, from the sound of it you guys are probably alliance....So all i gotta say that alliance are cheap and turtle up in thier base during wsg and horde owns :) too bad we suck at AV tho cuz people dont listen to each other...ill give you that...

  6. LOL are you guys serious? WoW is better. period. People are just saying runscape is better because they play it. I mean seriously, I've heard all my friends say, "Runescape sucks! Why do you waste your time on that crap?" Don't get me wrong though i totally LOVE runescape and i try to defend it. However i've also experienced wow and i gotta tell you guys...it OWNS. Skill lvl cap there is 300 and the combat lvl cap is 60 (just to clear that up, people were getting confused) Also, there's great pvping there, better friends interaction, and a WAY better environment. I mean if you give somebody all the materials for an expensive piece of armor you want them to make you, you can give it to them without worrying and they'll give the finished product back, (with you tipping them of course). I'll still continute to play runescape once in a while, pking, but WoW will be my main game for now. Runescape still owns hella bad, but wow owns harder.

PS: I'm a lvl 60 troll hunter on the zul'jin server if anybody wants to play, and my user name on it is Bowandarrow. (oh yeah hunters get pets that attack and tank and all that jazz; couldn't leave that out)
