  1. It's been a while since i posted a topic, but i just wanted to get people's opinions on the state of castle wars and the constant problem of people just sitting idle in games. A few years ago before i took my break from runescape this was my favorite minigame and it wasn't so dominated by 138's or being completely overpopulated like the official world is.

  2. drugs taking ur life is not about not working and going to school even if it seems like it

it will be a chain it will take over ur life compltley and u will be a slave to the drugs and ur need for them...thats what they mean

(the softer drugs are not this [cabbage] but they often lead to stronger stuff)

True, many people can't handle soft drugs, and end up going to harder stuff, and that is when your life gets screwed up.

if people are so [developmentally delayed]ed that they become dependent on drugs then they deserve to die/have a horrible life. i mean there are millions of people in the world who have drank or smoked before and they didn't become some crack head, and softer drugs do not lead to harder drugs, the whole gateway theory is worse then the iq of bush. and finally it all depends on the person when you are speaking of drug addiction in fact sigmund freud did a lot of testing on drugs and what effects they have on the brain was able to give up cocaine whenever he wanted to but he couldn't stop smoking cigars

  3. i believe Israel has every right to attack the Gaza strip, come on how many times has Israel been attack by its neighbors in the last 60 years, i personally believe Israel should already control the Gaza strip and all the other land Israel took in the Seven day war or was it the yom capor(spell fail).

  4. i just came back form a couple month break and i have a 30m cash pile i wold really like to get rid of, so should i save up and get a sgs or should i just spend it bgs, guthans, and bandos armor. i will mostly be doing slayer and other combat stuff and don't say skills as i believe they are a complete waste of money.

  5. Why do we feel the need to bail out companies who did themselves wrong?

The car companies make cars with poor gas mileage. People no longer want to buy them. It's either they make a more fuel efficient car or they go under. Why should tax payer dollars go into keeping companies afloat who continue to put out the same poor product?

I'm sorry that tons of jobs are at stake. It's tough luck. It's life. I can't say anymore than that. It's not fair, and it's not right, but it is what it is.

your completely right since none of the bid three ever made a car that could get over 20mpg since in America we only drive big SUV's and hummers.

one of the big three's biggest problems isn't their vehicle sales, all auto manufacturers are having problems like this, its the fact that they pay there employees nearly 2 times as much as lets say Toyota.i believe the average wage for a factory worker at gm is around $70 an hour while at most other auto companies its only $35

  6. so today i decided to buy a Santa hat and this happened. this had to be one of the slowest hackers i have ever met, i literally said nothing but smart [wagon] answers for a good 10 minutes and he thought i was serious.this is just the beginning of our conversation and it went on for a while, too lazy to take screenies of entire conversation, then i reported him and sang unbroken by KsE to him.

  7. tried the online now for the last couple days and it fails. its either that im just mad that im not as godlike as i was in cod 4 or that most of the weapons are either horribly over powered or underpowered, the maps are average, and there are too many bad things in this game. gonna return it soon and im gonna go back to cod4

  8.

Just because "hard addicts" have used marijuana before, doesn't mean that it was the cause for them going to harder drugs. If I killed someone after I played GTA, that doesn't necessarily mean that GTA caused me to kill them.

yes but there are ignorant people in the world who believe that video games make kids want to kill people and rock'n'roll turns us into the devil, but that doesn't mean they're blame free. i believe people who do hard drugs were willing to do them form the very beginning they just needed to try weed or another "gateway drug" first just to answer any curiosity they have about drugs, but i still believe its ultimately the individuals choice on whether or not to do drugs no matter what outside circumstances affect it(movies, video games, books, peer pressure) because in the end its your decision and you are always to blame for your own decisions.

  9. the argument that marijuana is a gateway drug and is addictive is ridiculous. i have been smoking for over 2 years and i have yet to become addictive(i have taken several short breaks because i thought i might have been mentally addictive but i wasn't) and i have yet to do cocaine, heroine, meth and 99% of the pills available to me. yes some people DO become addicted to marijuana but hell anything substance or activity can be addicting so i don't understand that argument.

It's not as ridiculous as you think--let me explain:

    * Marijuana is among the foremost of "gateway drugs" (second only to alcohol). Statistically, while the majority of marijuana-users will never make the leap to "harder" drugs, it has been shown that most "hard" addicts originally drank/used marijuana before moving on. This is where the "marijuana is a gateway drug" claim comes from.

    * Marijuana, as any user would know, stimulates the appetite--and this, inevitably, leads to at least a small amount of weight-gain in most users. THC, the addictive substance in marijuana, is stored in fat cells if in excess (only so much THC can enter the brain and bind to the appropriate receptors). These two facts, in conjuction, practically guarantees that every long-time user will have a sizeable amount of THC stored away. Once, and if, these particular people decide to quit, their appetites will return to normal in due course--causing them to lose weight and steadily burn off the THC-rich fat cells. This, in addition to the fact that marijuana withdrawal symptoms are naturally light to begin with (it's a "soft" drug, after all), often leads people to erroneously believe that marijuana is non-addictive. The truth is that it is both psychologically addictive (most substances--e.g. food--have the potencial to be) and physically addictive (although, even caffeine is more so than marijuana).

I support legalizing marijuana (or, at the very least, decriminalizing it), but I just wanted to point this out.

i completely agree that it can be physically addicting, I'm just that there are a lot of things that physically addicting(such as your example as caffeine), yet they are still accepted in modern society yet marijuana is not.

i personally believe the only reason that marijuana is a even noted as a gateway drug is the fact that it is relatively safe, meaning you can't overdose on weed but you can on heroine or get alcohol poisoning from drinking too much.

  10. first off people saying that it is impossible for cigarettes to become illegal need to understand that there are already a lot of laws are going in the same direction. first off i live in Arizona and there have been several laws banning smoking in all public buildings, most privately owned businesses like restaurants and bars, a lot of outdoor public places parks and etc. just because tobacco companies have a big part in u.s. economics mean nothing, when prohibition started hundreds of alcohol companies went bankrupt and thousands lost their jobs.

the argument that marijuana is a gateway drug and is addictive is ridiculous. i have been smoking for over 2 years and i have yet to become addictive(i have taken several short breaks because i thought i might have been mentally addictive but i wasn't) and i have yet to do cocaine, heroine, meth and 99% of the pills available to me. yes some people DO become addicted to marijuana but hell anything substance or activity can be addicting so i don't understand that argument.

Living in america we do have many freedoms but that does not stop personal feelings of politicians and lobbyists from being used in government, remember this country was still founded by the puritans and a majority of their ideas are still used.

i believe that one day marijuana will be legalized as many states are already decriminalizing it, but i doubt it will be any time soon.

here are the states that have decriminalized it Alaska, California, Colorado, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Maine, Minnesota, Ohio, Mississippi, Oregon and Massachusetts.

edit: almost forgot about this but in Michigan medical marijuana is legal as of Nov 4, 2008

    Mass. is the 12th state

on a side note to people who argue the government will make money of taxing the sale of marijuana, they already do.

It's an 'ounce' that's defined as too much w/ that law, i think. Dude.. an ounce is like a f'in brick of weed. The law just seems unnessecary from my standpoint. It's not that difficult to get weed now, i doubt the law will have a giant effect :?

lol an ounce isn't that much weed

  11. just got it and finished the campaign yesterday. it think its a great game and the story mode was a lot more realistic and more difficult then cod4. haven't tired online yet, had to do a system update and hopefully its done now...

  12. sons of anarchy is one of my favorite shows right now. Ive been watching it since like the second episode and haven't missed one yet.

[hide=]i hope that stupid atf agent dies in a fire for trying to set up opie[/hide]

  13. this season has been great so far, i just find it really annoying how they randomly use amateur camera work, like if i want to see something that looks like a my video camera I'll watch home movies, its just annoying how it reminds of cloverfield and blare witch

  14. first off hide tags are your friends because not everyone has seen all the episodes and there are already.there are a few threads about entourage already so i don't understand why you made a new one.
