  1. Yes I did, also tried it on different pcs XD

Well you got me, I'm stumped. I'd try PMing Morionic, he's pretty good at sheets and may have an idea.

nope, I'm stumped too. Your code is correct. I even tried downloading your spreadsheet, pasting my code into it, and it still doesn't work.

So clearly there's something wrong with your spreadsheet itself, since the rest of mine is fine.

    Try making a new spreadsheet

If that doesn't work, click my siggy, go to the sample spreadsheet, copy it to your account, delete everything on my spreadsheet

then recreate your spreadsheet from scratch again.

Hi again guys - I think I might have a solution to your problem. It depends on the locate that the google account was created in. Sometimes instead of commas to parse elements in formulas you need to use semicolons. This is not clearly documented in the GoogleDocs Docs - but I ran into this one time before with someone trying to use my spreadsheets.

Basically, in some countries comma is used as a decimal point - therefore it cant be used to parse elements in formulae. Replace all your comma with semicolons and see what happens.

    Cheers!

  2. Try the Quincy C/C++ compiler and development environment. Its small, has a number of important libraries included, and is portable (can be run from a usb drive). The MinGW compiler is included with the installer.

Its only 18mb and really is worth a look. Don't be worried about the fact that it hasn't been updated in a while. Not much has changed that would be of consequence to someone who is just learning.

  3. Actually I found that delivering the choc-ice (during the quest) was much easier if I just ran up to the monkey gate and got caught. I woke up in jail - had lots of time to refreeze the ice, transform and escape.

Also, I used the highest level ice spell and sometimes froze it twice in a row for good measure.

  4. I'm always impressed when I see other people's RuneScape related Google docs and they mention this post as how they got started. This is looking a little old and creaky now but still seems to be helping people.

One thing I thought I should mention, something that took me a while to figure out. If you are in another country where the comma is used instead of a decimal point (ie 3,14 for PI rather than 3.14) then you will be using a SEMICOLON to separate elements in your IF statements instead of COMMAS.

That took ages to realize and only occurred when someone from Portugal created a new document with my instructions and pasted my IF's into their document.

Good luck to everyone who continues to make and use Google docs!

  5. All set up to make 4k granite lobs, 2k bunyips and fruitbats and 750 lava titans

    Shards already banked.

After that - about 3k sundry potions - unfs already made for all. Then Crafting 1k air battlestaves.

Finally go Ill go chinning the rest of the time.

Mostly things I was going to do anyways - about 2.5m spent on shards. I collected the bananas and granite myself last week.

  6. That's good to know, Sven! What kind of xp rate can you get doing that?

I have timed it - including fast banking as needed - rates are in the 95-115k an hour range. It's much faster when you aren't failing at all. Also you never need food and if you wear a bow with no ammo you won't ever get into combat.

I wear an amulet of nature and do farm runs as needed. I get 1 ranarr seed or better approximately every 10k of experience. It adds up.

  7. Its funny how young people mock eachother for their choices in online entertainment. I once caught an 8th grader playing some game where you have a pony and you brush and feed it. I watched her play it and she showed me all the upgrades and the various horses or ponies she had. She was enjoying it and clearly had put a lot of time into it.

I do tell people that I play Runescape, I also tell them that I've been ranked in the top 15k for the last few years. And for what its worth I give all ballistic hell back to anyone who tries to tell me WoW is any better.

  8. I've been looking for something like this forever, HUGE bump and thanks.

I was wondering if you could do the same thing with excel, and if so how would you import the stats on there?

I started off with Excel and it does work - but it wasn't easy to share with others. You use the 'get external data' function of excel and it creates an entire sheet of the imported HTML. You can then reference the cells in the new sheet using regular Excel formulas.

Some reference links on Excel and web data are available here:

  10. My name 'Sven Bohikus' is an old joke name we used to make about the big swedish (not swedish but descendants of) farmer boys we'd see around the rural areas of Wisconsin when I was a kid. You'd be driving along and see a big hulky blonde guy riding a tractor and you'd say 'Look there goes Sven Bohikus!'

No insult is intended to anyone swedish - though I must say this commercial is very funny and topical -

  11. Ok so they updated the censor to remove certain words.... so what are they.

Ill try and keep this list updated as people add words and I confirm them. I will put the word list in a hidden list in case anyone finds any of the words offensive.

  12. Well lets see here.

I do MtK -- but I do it a little differently than some folks. I put 2 million gp in and max out the favor. Then I leave it along for a week or so. When I remember to, I go up to Etc. via the spirit tree and do some farming (watering, composting, raking) to get favor back up. When the month is up I collect the lot.

I also get my sand buckets every day by way of the lunar spell - NPC contact.

Bstaves, pineapples, seaweed - I'd do them daily if they were noted or if I could call them on lunar and have them put it in the bank. As it is I'd be running all over Runescape for 4 hours.

Tears: I mostly do tears when I am very near to taking a level.

  13. I have lots of trouble avoiding the mage attacks, and I'm only in the first room. It takes me one try per lighting a pyre. I can barely chop a piece of wood before he sends another attack, great guide but you make it sound too easy.

I got lucky one time I came back (after dying) and just snuck to the 1st roots north of the entrance and managed to chop away getting about 10 of the logs before it saw me.

A hint on the other thread did suggest to fill all the pyres before lighting any of them -- and thats a very good idea really. After the 1st two pyres get lit the shots fire very fast with more little white ghosties coming out of them.

A good method I found for dodging the attacks is go head straight for them. Mage protect ~seemed~ to limit the damage but maybe I imagined it.

  14. 3rd section of the quest (altar and graves) explained:

You want to run to the altar and recharge prayer to your max. Then look at the beast to see what color it is 'charging', then while it is charging that color you quickly bless the grave of the matching color.

Should you bless the wrong color, you will be damaged. If you bless too early or too late it wont matter and you will be damaged 'while your spirit is unguarded'. Should you look away from your screen for a moment... you will be damaged.

You're going to be eating here a lot, but like in the other sections, you can run away from the little white spirit attacks the beast shoots at you. Mage protect seems to help, but don't bother wearing armor.

I picked up about a dozen or so ghostspeak amulet after I died the 1st time on this - just go talk to the priest in the swamp from priest in peril. Keep dropping your amulet to get more until you have as many as you like. Should you lose the ring don't forget you can get a new in the pile of rubble just west of the portal.

The good news is this: whatever progress you make on each section before you die will stick, you wont start from the very beginning.

The bad news: there are no graves in there so don't take your dragon axe or your adze for the wc part.

  15. If you need a spade you can get one just east of the portal. Its near the trapdoor from Spirit of Summer quest. I mention this because I forgot mine on the way to burninate the monster. :wall:

You can also loot the corpse in the dungeon. He gives you a mith axe, bronze pick, spade and tinderbox. Only works when you looted it in the real world first I think.

I'm pretty sure that's my corpse

  16. I found the game slow and tedious. I think this is going to have about as much impact on RC as vine sweeper did on farming. Those who wish to no life in the mini game would find training directly at either skill to be just as effective.

The tablets take far too long to collect be effective for any sort of power leveling of rune crafting. The Astral tablets are interesting though as a quick way to change between Standard and Lunar magics.

Perhaps for level 3 skillers this is a good way to go about rc training - but as for me I lost my fear of the abyss a long long time ago.
