It's 45K xp an hour, wich is the same as woodcutting willows with a dragon axe or fishing at shilo.

First I have to say my information may not be entirely creditable since I only started granite powermining at 89 mining and have no experience on any lvls below that.
First off life at 89 is very tough, taking 1 more than 1 hit were very common and lasted until about 92 or so, then chances start to decrease gradually until about 97 where there were almost no rocks that took more than 1 hit. I experimented at 99 and there are still very minor chances of taking more than 1 hit, exactly the reason why i don't suggest you mine granite under mining lvl 75-80 since the exp is about the SAME as iron
Average granite exp/hr i managed is about 2-3k more than iron I guess with iron sticking around 37-38k and granite about 40-41k. Since granite is not a 100% 1 hit ore, having a high mining lvl allows you to 1 hit the rock more frequently and does make the difference in exp bigger and according to Lazim, high mining lvl means you quarry heavier ores. Based from those two factors, exp/hr for both will continue to differ in greater amounts with iron staying constant and granite increasing.
Apparently what Lazim said is not really that reliable. I only noticed that i start to get 5kg granite ores often at about 96+ mining. Maximum exp at granite i recorded at 98 mining was about 45-48k/hr, very vague memory about it though #-o
Thanks very much to hear of someone that have skills in mining ^^ but one question still remains: why does people say that they get around 60-80k xp/h at granite? :S

yes the higher the lvl the more exp of course. Granite is still faster then iron
what do u meen with of course? just look at woodcutting, u cut magic logs with the same speed at lvl 75 then 99, no faster with higher lvl..so think again..
I calculated the nonstop exp with iron and i got this: 51432 xp/h :-k can this be true? iron faster then granite at my mining lvl? Eeh

okey, but if u are like 90+ mining will u get more xp/h then? :pray:

you can get better experience then that at higher lvls at granite. I have a friend with 95 that gets 60k-70k an hour there

it could be the fact that even with my 75 mining, i have trouble 1 hitting granite all the time, so if you were also experienceing mining granite harder because you werent hitting granite in 1 hit like you do with iron at level 40, then it could go slower.
what lvl is it to mine granite like iron? i do it sometimes but i want to do it all the time lol ^^ is it possible? :roll:

No i didn't bank, I had 24 skins with me at the start and had like 15 when i was done..Eek

So, I tried to mine granite in one hour to see how much xp i would get..
This is the result for me with mining lvl 73 :S
09:43-->1039604xp
10:43-->1078199xp
xp/h = 38595 :S
I played nonstop with some lagg.. :-k
Some says that they get 60-80k xp an hour when mining granite..
Is there problem with my pick or what is it? please reply and tell me what your xp/h record is at granite.. I'm starting to wonder if granite is'nt any faster then iron :S

I think PC is very fast,,even if u click one at the time or put out 100 at once..I would suggest that Jagex put PC away..that's my thoughts

Wow thats bad, are you sure it didnt appear though? You might of been too into the 360s and didnt realise it there?
directly when the guy said: okey now the boss, or somthing..the update text appeard.. if it would have appeard one minute earlier i would have been able to log off and continue after update.. ^^ unlucky but true..

I saw the 702 and i thought whats bad about that, then did the same. You also had full prayer, what a waste of prayer pots...

Easily? I had 12 Super restores and 5 Brews left when i got to him, mucked up pray and he hit me... You think killing him is easy? :roll:
not very easy but it's not hard ^^ i hitted him to half hp in 2 minutes then i walked behind the wall and took the screenshot..
