  1. actually, i'm still easily selling maples 100ea, even in seer's bank. i can't get into world 2, so i don't know what prices are there, but in a random world, you can sell maples 100ea and flax 80-150ea.
  2. well, actually lunar, if you just keep doing burthorpe tasks with your cannon until you start doing melee, or you do melee and get it to where you're just under 99 hp, you don't actually have to train hp to stay alive.
  3. you're forgetting one thing: seeking attention is different than being proud of yourself. some people just wear their skillcapes to remind themselves of their great achievements, an example of someone doing this is wearing it where noone goes. you can't say someone is seeking attention by wearing a skillcape if they are always in a place hardly anybody goes. of course, there's also the fact that skill capes give good defense bonuses and trimmed give a prayer bonus. if you have a 99, they're a cheap alternative to an obby cape. :XD:
  4. But only if you let other people know about it. Even if it's one person, it's still attention. I highly doubt people get an 99 an don't tell no one. Not for everyone. Reaching a goal in a skill could be a means of earning money. After all, Yew chopping autoers didn't reach their levels to get "attention" As I said in an example in my post, it isn't always directly for attention. In this example, why would you need money? To get cool stuff? To get more 99s? Just to have? well nick, some people actually just like to set goals, to get money, to play the game better. like me. i'm poor, and don' have the equipment that could make my life easier, so i'm setting goals for myself to make the money for that equipment. if a got a 99 doing that, i would probably buy the cape, but i'm not trying to get an easy 99 just to have a cape. and i've never spent my money on something that is impratical, such as elegant clothing. all it is is for showing off, and i don't like wasting money on just showing off. if i had a choice between a party hat or full dragon, but i could never sell them, i'd choose the full dragon, simply because the party hat is impractical. that's how i play every video game, i don't seek attention, i seek ways to make it more enjoyable and easier to play.
  5. explain please. just saying that isn't saying much...
  6. using a cannon to 1k xp away from 99 range would get you to 91-92 slayer, and since that's halfway to 99 slayer, do the math from there.
  7. good job jagex =D> now raw material prices will go up, and there'll be less competition for them. of course, less competition will lead to more people getting them, so it'll be the same again, but the prices will remain higher because noone will be 24houring once the bots are all banned. what jagex needs to do is make the security thing that tip.it has when making a new account, that way they can't make more bots.
  8. Are you contradicting yourself? You said that you've seen a person with an untrimmed slayer cape. But yet you prove that it's impossible? Either your math is wrong or you thought you saw what you did not. I'm guessing it's the latter because most of you're posts I've seen are pretty logical and I'm fairly certain you did you're math right. actually, do your math right and you can get it. just pretty hard to fund that many cannon balls, rings of recoil and food. so the only problems are time and money.
  9. but all jagex mods get free level 126 accounts.... :-k inside agent h4xxored runescape? anyway, it's quite possible to have one of those, even though it will be extremely hard and boring. in fact, you could get it at level 3, but that would take a couple of years, if not more. best way to do it is to take 14 rings of recoil, 13 manta rays, and a ton of c balls. set up your cannon before you get the stuff from your bank, so you can have maximum space. then, when you're about to go to 99 range, switch to melee using controlled. just use long swords until you have 70 attack, then use a whip. you'll have to use burthorpe until you start meleeing, and you will get 99 slayer before any melee stat is maxed. because if you used a cannon to 90 slayer, about halfway, you're getting slayer xp 1 point per damage, and 1.33 points melee per damage. since you're halfway to 99 slayer already, you won't max out your melee stats before you get 99 slayer. question is, how do you fund all that without breaking rules or getting a 99 in a skill? that'd be a whole lot of level 3 merchanting.
  10. oh, come off it aqua. i said that because last time i played rs that's how it was. anyway, it loooks like now the definition has changed so i'm giving up the old one.
  11. =O Why...? :-s seems like it's spam, and i kinda agree. this topic really does nothing.... and your "lesson" is just common sense. if you think it's a lesson, you need to get out and see the world.
  12. THat could not be your first member quest seeing as how you needed to finish jungle potion :shame: read all of his post :-w
  13. but the sticky wasn't open to discuss it, that's why they're being posted now. but pretty much all the hidden updates have been discussed and repeated, so i think it's safe for the admins to lock the thread again and keep working on the list.
  14. hmm, your belief that he's acting elitest is making me wonder the same about you. if you want elitest, look at nazi germany, then tell me he's elitest. and don't flame me for being rascist, as i'm german.
  15. he never said anywhere that p2pers are greater than f2pers, he's saying that people who don't actually contribute to the makers of the game don't deserve any updates unless it's beneficial for the people who do contribute, or it somehow makes the game easier to run. as for people asking for updates, apparently you have your chat off constantly. in all the parks in front of castles and in banks, i usually see p2pers are nerds, or wtf? why don't we have members stuff? it sickens me to think that someone think just because they play the game means they get all the features. now, don't flame me for this, but if you loook at it comparing it to other games, f2p is a demo. in demos for video games, you get about 1-2 hours of gameplay, and very few features. in f2p, comparatively, you get very few features, no access to most updates, and you don't have to pay, plus about a months worth of gameplay, if you don't try to max out, which is worthless because you can't publically prove it, and hardly anybody trys, just like demos. full video games, you pay for it, and you get all the features, and, with games like oblivion, access to updates free or little cost plus, if you get your money's worth, you get 40+ hours of gameplay. membership gives you updates, all features, about 1000+ hours of gameplay, and more. so thinking about it that way, f2p is a demo, and is fitting with those few updates and features. i went a little off topic here, but you get the idea when i say that most f2pers don't know what they're talking about. the few f2pers that are good people, they're sometimes better friends than you can meet on members, simply because they have to deal with all those idiots that p2p has very few of.
  16. and so now you're automatically correct because you assumed something? assuming does the first three letters of it. and i know what he's saying, and i doubt anyone else has done it. i'm pretty sure that's his year of birth, no other reason to put that number. and i doubt anyone has put their birth year in between x's, all they put between x's is i pwn u and robin hood.
  17. ok, i read the image, and it's pretty lame. he's basically putting common sense into a complicated form. but it'sw wrong for me. i don't eat cake
  18. trickmonkey1. he made 1 mil when he was lvl 32 and had 600 total level, and he's given me loans to help me make money and helped me with quests too. right now i owe him 300k for helping me with 55 magic, he's just been too helpful with me. when i played rs 2 years ago, it was yllas11. he introduced me to the game and was a kick [wagon] real life friend. i'll never forget those two, even though trickmonkey1 is still playing.... some of the best friends i've had in my life.
  19. yes, but everywhere i go there is some idiots making fools of themselves so much that i can't talk to those mature people. two of my best friends i met while mining, and discussing how the economy would be impacted if all trimmed armor and rares were made members, and jagex took them away and gave people market price for them. but a lot of people just want to talk about being "gangsta" or calling people noobs, so i can't really talk to the people who have decent conversations with me. when i became a member, i saw that pretty much anywhere except catherby and the rock crabs had people with great personalities and attitudes, that i was quite stunned. the community was way better than school, and i made a lot more friends. then i joined these forums, and compared to these, members worlds were school house bullies. meanwhile, i keep thinking that if i want the attitude i get in f2p, i should just go to a public school. i must've forgotten that i do. basically what i'm saying is, you have to go way out of your way to meet decent people, while in member's they are just everywhere. even public schools aren't that bad, because if you go there, you are spotted by a clique(couldn't find the alt code) and you make all the friends you're going to get. so in all reality, f2p runescape is the hardest place to make friends if you're not a l33t speaker or are emo or think you are superior.
  20. tried that, didn't work. try uploading it onto imageshack again, or try a different uploading site.
  21. well, it's good to see that my lack of artistic skills are apparent. that and ms paint is so hard to use.... thanks for the imput. now i know i'll fail art next year. EDIT: looked at that guide. didn't understand a thing, and i have a hard time making stick figures anyway, so it's probably beyond my capability. and how would you make that in 5 min? took me 2 hours, and it's the only person i've ever drawn that isn't a stick figure. and you didn't have to be so negative... a simple that's completely horrible would've been fine...
  22. well, the only annoying quest i've done, and i only have 82 qp, was heros. try getting 25 herb with 5k cash and no herbs or 2nd to start with.... #-o
  23. that's errr, more than 4 years old. sorry. #-o
  24. the depression was caused by merchanting stopping and creating inflation, but there is no inflation in runescape. therefore, prices would stablize. There is inflation in runescape it just does not affect everything, such as items sold in the shop that are easily bought aka -Noob stuff found in general shops- and the price would rise. Look at it this way if there weren't merchants there to bring you constant flow of supplies, you would either need to get them yourself or find a needle in a haystack to sell to you and they could charge what ever they wanted because it would basically be a monopoly, if no one else was selling those items. Merchants are like stock brokers, they bring the items your looking for to you with out you having to work as hard. what the hell are you talking about? merchants get their supplies from someone else, so it's basically taking out the middle man and making prices lower for the buyer, but the seller would sell for the same. everyone would win except for the selfish merchants. and to the post above, i've tried those places, and all i see are pures abusing the english language in the wilderness, there are some nice people at lessers, but noone i would want to be friends with and the rest are range/ mage pures. and all i get at yew trees are autoers and people complaining about the autoers.
