  1. I just use piety and item protect. Protect from mele just slows the fight down, which for me reduces the fun. If my opponent doesn't pray i won't, if they do i will but i would prefer not to.

If I'm risking more than 5-10m then yeah, I'll pray to get every advantage i can.

So you're saying that you do not have to have completely maxed stats to know what it's like? How to get there? What those players are able to do with what they have? You know, I know, we all know exactly what they know, they just have more time?

I personally am not so naive to think that I have the same knowledge and experience as a maxed player.

Zarfot is a great example. All you have to do is look at his extremely comprehensive collection of guides on the RSOF to know that he's far more knowledgeable on the subject of Runescape than any one of us. The difference between him and a lot of other maxed players is that he's written guides on his methods.

Please, show me a player who does not have maxed stats that can compare to the level at which these people play the game.

    +1.

If you had to guess which player had more knowledge of Runescape between someone with 1500 total and a maxed player, who would you pick?

What about players who have been playing for a long time. Usually if someone has been playing for a long time they have tried a little bit of everything. From pking to skilling. The only thing there would be that forum would be filled with "bring wildy back pl0x" threads.

If you had to *GUESS* which would you pick? high level or low level? High level, obviously. Jagex can't waste time spending hours hand picking players based on their knowledge(which by the way, they can't measure) so they picked the group of players who are most likely to give knowledgeable and well constructed feedback regarding small aspects of the game which may get overlooked by the average 'scaper.

  3. I don't know if anyone else has posted this, because I just read the first 2 pages then skipped here, but here goes.

Yes, they chose people with 99 everything. Yes, you can get that without knowing much about the game. Yes, some people might not have the best attitudes. However, judging by what i've been hearing from the people with 99 everything themselves, this forum is mainly for the smaller details. It's not for the epic updates, it's for the things "in other news." For example, things like shortening up the bog event in temple trekking, make the progress bar at GE in HD work, making level 5 attacker and collector in barbarian assault more useful, If you're wearing a slayer cape, you should be able to kill gargoyles without a rock hammer, make broodoo victims disappear after having been lured out after a few minutes, stuff like that. Who's better to ask than the people who've put time into every single skill in the game?

Yes, there are people who are more knowledgeable in certain areas than people with 99 everything (like someone with gold cw talking about cw), but those are a LOT harder to pick out. The easiest and most effective thing that they could do was just take the 2376ers, they know what annoys them. If they want change something they're not very familiar with or want something to post, they can ask a friend for something to say

    +1, well said.

  4. I imagine that the margin has been changed to stop phats from crashing too low and then rocketing too high. It stabilizes the price. I was going to sell my phat, decided to keep it now, might buy another soon too (taking advantage of this abundance of phats before it drys up). People will always be buying, however people won't always selling. Once they get to the lowest price they are going to get to, merchants will buy and hoard them and refuse to sell until they have risen... a lot.

  5. The second group is composed of the Skillers. Those mining Gold Ore, cutting Yew Logs, crafting Nature Runes, farming Herbs or otherwise gathering raw materials have gathering GP as a main goal, and we call those the DIY Skillers. They take the GP over XP approach to things.

That's not true. Crafting nature runes is close to the fastest r/c xp in the game AND you make money. When i was getting 99 r/c i put Exp before GP and still managed to get high exp rates and a high income.

  6. Just wondering, if you can make an Omni-Tiara, whats the point of the staff then if they both do the same thing? Last time I checked, the Tiara doesn't cost 10000 points :?

The staff binds with a specific talismen I think. I saw one person with it and it looked like a staff with an air talisman on top

Anyways, the point of the staff is basically to equip a talisman in your weapon slot.

Probably so ur head slot's free for a phat or soemthing  .

Also, the staff helps in the abyss apparently.

    Yeah it's for the phat

  7. Imo i'll just say what most people think, it's pathetic. I really /facepalm when i see people in Runescape saying 'i love you' and stuff, it's ridiclious.

Alot of the time the people who say "I love you" to eachother in game know eachother IRL. People shouldn't jump to conclusions of E-dating just because of this, for all you know they could be married IRL. And since you don't know and have no way of knowing how about leaving them to it? Me and my girlfriend (of 19 months IRL) hang out online sometimes and i've lost count of the amount of times we have laghed at random noobs who think we've just met/don't know eachother.

However yes, two people who don't know eachother IRL and claim that they are dating online *via runescape* is quite sad and they should probably turn their computers off and go outside -.- ...

*I can't see a problem with people dating eachother/ meeting people via other websites/msn. I think i read that about 40% of newly married couples these days met online.
