I think it's downright stupid and an abuse of power to suspended people for something they did outside of school. I fI wa sone of the kids suspended I would hire a lawyer and sue.

I heard that a man sued the westborough baptist church after they picketed his son's funeral (which in my opinion is a low-life scummy thing to do (the picketing not the suing)). He sued for emotional damages and supposedly won a lot of money. Anyone else hear about this?
theyve been sued many times, and their cases are held by their hired attorneys. in most cases, the suits are dismissed, but there have been a couple times where WBC has had to pay. regarding the man you're talking about, it probably got dismissed.
there was one case where WBC actually got 200k!
No it wasn't I found the link, the guy actually WON and was awarded close to $11 million.

I have come to the conclusion there is no tree, there is only a stupid question.

My belief in God depends on my mood. Most of the time I'm agnostic.
Anyway the way I figure it is this. Why should believing in God be a requirement to get into heaven? "Oh you've been a good person for most of your life but you didn't think that I existed. Well even though I could've easily proven my existence to you I'm still going to send you to the same place that I send serial killers and thieves for eternity."
Oh great, thanks mister loving God you have a really great concept of justice.
If God was really like that then I would refer to him as 'scum' and I would think he's not deserving of my worship (yeah that may be pride, so sue me).
Plus if I did a good deed not for the reward or for fear of punishment wouldn't that be considered better. (An example being a guy who tells someone at gunpoint to help a lady pick up her stuff while simultaneously offering him $100 to do so vs. someone who does it unprovoked).
Plus there is the whole 'problem with hell'. Which is basically the idea that you only live for a finite amount of time and could only commit a finite amount of sin and therefore you would not deserve infinite punishment.

There WERE 0 apples on the tree then it grew and formed apples.
It asked how many apples WERE on the tree not how many apples ARE on the tree. The only answer we can conclude is 0 apples were on the tree when it was a sprout or a seed. If it means how many apples are on the tree after you are finished not picking apples and not leaving apples then the answer is:
x + (plus or minus) 0
And then of course there's the smart alecky answer.

I've never seen an apple tree in my life and yet this question is asking me to recount how many apples were on an apple tree it says I've seen before. Yet I can't possibly figure out the answer to this problem without seeing the tree so my answer is:
What tree?
EDIT: Also how do you know something else hasn't been picking or leaving apples whilst you were standing around admiring the tree?

It depends on what kind of "gang" it is. The yakuza, for example have ties all over the world, and thus would be near impossible to escape.
The Yakuza qualifies as organized crime not a simple gang.

My first kiss was with the girl that I loved although she didn't love me back. I think she only kissed me as payback for kissing her once I fessed up to my feelings (and by payback I do not mean revenge). The only reason I fessed up though was because I had to move to the other side of the country. Oh well it felt good though.

I think it's great that Obama won the caucus I hope he does well in New Hampshire. I'm not sure how I feel about Huckabee, although I'm glad it isn't Romney.

only problem for me is that my kitchen quest hall and workshop are not close to each other and if I wanted them close to each other I would have to destroy my study (which I have put in 3 gold leafs for the furniture). Oh well.
70 construction using the cut oak logs at rimmington, then send my butler out to the sawmill method and I'm bloody sick of it. I will be trying this method when I decide to raise construction (funny though, I've never moved my house once).
I guess this also means I will be buying planks at the grand exchange now if only I had a decent way of making money.

I mentioned freedom of speech because some people specifically said he should be thrown in jail for even joking about school shootings (hence the less than tasteful joke at the end).
Also I think I read somewhere that most people who go on school shootings only tell their close friends (if anyone at all) about their plans. Not random people, that would be stupid.

Please just shut up and get off your damn high horse.
He makes a joke about shooting up his school and you want to punish him for that? When the hell did we end up in paranoia land anyway? George Carlin made some less than tasteful jokes about suicide and school shootings (we didn't care we just went on with our lessons "o.k. if you have 37 classmates and 4 of them are shot how many do you have now?"), should we arrest him or burn him at the stake as you would probably suggest?
OF COURSE NOT. Why? Because we have something called freedom of speech and I'll be damned if I lose that freedom just because some insane guys shot up a school and that got a bunch of people paranoid over it. A great man once said "those who would give up an essential liberty for even temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety".
You might say "but fathertime he was making a threat." WRONG, he was telling a joke or saying something out of anger not meant to be taking literally. Then some panicky guy called the police and now this man's in trouble for no good reason. To put this in perspective think of all the times you said "I'll kill you" did you ever mean it even once? Didn't think so.
This kind of stupidity by our police force and our school system should not be tolerated at all, yet unfortunately it is. Why one kid even got expelled for making a counter strike map of his school (even after he was deemed not a threat by the police he was still expelled). Most developers start off by making levels of places they go to regularly (house school park whatever). Should we still expel the kid even though the rare event of a school shooting is to be taken seriously.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to find a copy of JFK reloaded and if I can't I'll just play Super Columbine RPG. Oh those columbine victims, killed by two guys who can't even build a bomb corretly. :XD:

So what? It's still a disgusting abuse of power and like I said earleir if the school tried that on me I would threaten to sue (which has worked on some stupid punishment that happened to me over something entirely on campus).
Oh and 0-tolerance policies for the epic Loss.
