i get burnt out on runescape in general.
slayer is the only skill i think i will never be burnt out on, only because its a passive skill. i look at slayer as training my combat skills rather than slayer at all.

If there is to be a buy X feature, there HAS to be a sell X feature. sell 50 is nice, but its still kinda slow.

Its extremely hard to grow weed if you dont know what you are doing. You can grow tobacco much easier but do people do it? no.The government wouldn't be able to tax marijuana, it's too easy to cultivate. Meaning no one will buy it, when they can grow it in their back yard.In places like Amsterdam it is $60 for 60 grams, an eight of weed in the US is roughly $25, and an eight is 3.5 grams.

Then you tax rolling paper, roach card, rolling tobacco and bongs. Its not hard to think of ways to tax it.The government wouldn't be able to tax marijuana, it's too easy to cultivate. Meaning no one will buy it, when they can grow it in their back yard.Once you buy a pipe and things of the sort you pretty much eliminate the need for anything else, so increasing the tax isn't really a problem.
Not to mention the simplicity of making your own device out of house hold items or things from home depot \

I'm all for the legalisation of mild drugs with scientifically proven medical usage. Mainly marijuana, as you can't overdose on it, or become *physically addicted*, not as harmfull to your health as hard drugs, etc etc.
I think DXM and Salvia would make a nice edition to your list of legal highs.

Both skills are equally easy to train, one just takes longer than the other.
Farming, you plant things.
Slayer, you kill things.
Both are one dimensional skills that take no skill to level, just time and patience.

Im not gonna lie, this is thread is definatley Debate Club material.
OT: I think most people are missing that point wakka, Jagex is losing money and they are taking action to protect their investment.( jagex didn't always own Runescape)

Edit: I agree as well, Jagex should have put this on the front page. They probably weren't expecting anyone to see it though, since so many users have programs to skip that part.

I dont get it.... Why is it Jagex's problem if some noob goes off and DL something that looks like SS but it takes your pass. If a person does that its their problem. Now its like they think that every thing like SS does that.
But still, how can they tell if your using a program like SS? I dont think they can.
Jagex doesn't care if you get phished, keylogged, hacked or whatever by (any)third party programs, because they tell you not to do it and that its against the rules in the first place.
SS may not of done any of the above, but it gave the players an advantage (as miniscule as it may be) and the agreement says programs like that are not tolerated.

I'm paying my 5 dollars (and deal with the ads) a month as far as im concerned they are getting off easy by just having my sig ping their server or using SS. They provide no other way to play the game then through a web browser, they do nothing. SS and all the others are free, so as far as I see this is supporting Runescape and Jagex, and bringing more players into the game.If they are going to ban such things, then they better be prepared to offer a legal alternative to the problem. I'm not paying 5 dollars a month for a small view surrounded by black screen. I should be able to access the information any way I please as long as I am not gaining an advantage over other players, and as long as the only way they offer is through a normal browser. Next they could get a sponsership deal with Microsoft and make it illegal to use anything other than IE to play. Where is it going to end?
The problem is that its not just you're sig thats pinging them, its everyones.
Secondly, no outside force or entity is making you pay to play, its a choice. And you are paying to play, you are not making a financial investment, someone tried to make that case a long time ago and got shut down left and right, you pay to play, not to make decisions of what should and shouldnt happen.
Thirdly, Jagex has a client to play through, look for it. Jagex isn't going to offer a legal alternative to a "problem" that doesn't exist. Can't get into world 2 Fast enough? Choose one of the other hundred worlds to play on. And as far as accessing information as you please, Jagex doesn't say not to go on any help sites such as tip it.
It's hard to believe one rule change has caused such an uproar.

Im not sure if this has any relevance, but didn't the exact same thing happen with RS Toolkit back in the day?
My point is that they did it once (rs toolkit), so why would anyone think that they wouldn't do it again?
(For those who didn't play back when RS Toolkit was in, I assume SS is pretty similar in most ways)

This is just amzaing. I dont mind the third clients because i have never used any. But the signature things i way over the line.I think you would be pretty angry if a couple websites were pinging your servers and databases for information/data thousands of times every 5 minutes.
Those sites were abusing the bandwidth and now Jagex is just taking action.

the only thing stopping them from banning players using those sigs, is the fact that anyone can use anyones account name to make them.
as you said though, better play it safe :-w
