  1. Runescape has always had kingdoms such as Asgarnia (areas around Falador), Misthalin (areas around Varrock), Morytania (areas around Canifis), Karamja (Volcanic island), and many more. There is no way that these kingdoms have the patience or time to have one completed quest fix all of their problems, and there is no way that one knight alone can complete a quest and make everything peaceful again, sometimes things should get tense. Runescape could set up a temporary battlefield for something like 'Asgarnian soldiers' vs. the 'Misthanlin soldiers.' This would simulate something much like the gnome battlefield under Ardougne where they automatically re-spawn and fight. Varrock and Falador could also constantly be at war with the wilderness; the wilderness line could move on occasion because of VarrockÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s and/or FaladorÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s gain or lose of land (Of course there would have to be a clear marker as to where the wilderness would begin and end for new players). There could even be the same type of scenario, but with knighthoods (The Black Knights vs. The White Knights). And of course, who could forget the Gods? There could definitely be some fighting between them! Have you ever seen Zamorak trimmed rune on a monster? Well maybe Jagex could suit some men up to Join the armies against Sarodamin! And maybe, just maybe, even you could enlist in the war and fight for your favorite kingdom, group or God with your friends. This idea would make Runescape even a little more historically aligned with the middle ages.

This is not World of Warcraft.

  2. In my quest to obtain full mystic, I decided to take a break and do some maging in Castlewars. One of the other players noticed I had on mystic boots and mystic bottoms, but nothing else. She asked, and I told her the sad truth: I had no money to pay for full mystic.

So, she gives me an adamant plate (t) and red dragonhide vambraces. My question is, will I be able to sell these, and get enough cash to pay for the rest of these? Or did I get something I will never be able to sell?

  3. It's force of habit. I make a point of not looking like some 13 year old when I type. I'm also a writer, so I try to use proper grammar.

Mourning's end has a lot of quest requirements that I'm simply not ready to do yet. I haven't finished Underground Pass, for instancve, and it doesn't look like I will anytime soon. <.<

  4. What I need is a way to make money with relative speed. I have 50k on hand right now, and that was only after working myself to death to get it. As for rune "running", I have a difficult time trying to find out precisely what is meant by it. I'm not well versed in runescape's lingo.

  5. I'm in desperate need for new gear, both caster and melee (I'm in addy armor for christ's sake). This game has been very unforgiving at giving me things I can sell, and I've had the worst of luck as well. When I discover that unids are a reliable source of cash, Jagex goes and nerfs it.

My skills are a bit low, of course. And all of the guides require a huge amount of money for an investment, which I don't have.

So, how does someone like me make some cash enough to supply runes as well as get an upgrade in equipment?

And please don't say "level ur skills u noob". I've tried that, and every time I do, I always end up with less to show for it.

  6. ...great. Just effing great.

When you are on a budget, your choices are limited. Otherwise I'd have bought a gaming computer brand new, and not have to go through all this hassle.

The computer loves to lock up while on an internet connection. The Linksys router is a USB device and required a software install. I have to wonder whether that is a source of problems.

This really pisses me off. Not only did I get screwed buying this, I was also unlucky. WoW is calling to me like a meadowlark. Runescape is fun, but it just doesn't satiate my boredom like WoW does.

By the way, I'm using a different computer to post this.

  7. We ran a bunch of diagnostics on the computer, checked that power was going to where it should, fans, everything. As for checking ram, I'm not sure how one does it. The computer will lock up every so often, and freezes when we try the task manager.

Our techie isn't a pro techie. She's just someone who's built computers from scratch, worked with a bunch of computers and has had several computers do the same to her before, and she got them in working order. We just call her the techie because she knows a hell of a lot more than us.

Windows Defender, to the very end, insisted that it was out of date, despite updating it (supposedly) a total of three times.

If it is the computer, I'm going to throw a fit. Tigerdirect has been reliable to us in the past, this is like getting shot in the back from your best friend.

  8. Recently, I bought a factory refurbished Gateway GT5426E for the purpose of having a computer to play games on (WoW specifically). However, I have a limited budget, so this is the best I could get for the price.

When I got the computer, it was rife with problems.

Conflicting drivers and a BSOD crashed my first install of TBC.

Tried to install the AC security suite that came with my computer. BSOD.

Tried to uninstall WoW, but it refused to delete the whole folder. Attempting to delete the rest of the folder resulted in a driver-related BSOD.

Windows refused to start, and had to run the restart repair utility. Tuh-riffic.

Attempted to connect to the internet using a USB linksys connection. BSOD within two minutes.

On the restart, safe mode detects no problems. Yeah, right.

Our family's techie comes over and manages to end the BSODs. she tries to install the security suite, and Vista freezes it. Second attempt: Freeze. Third attempt: Freeze. Fourth attempt: Loads the antivirus, but chokes the antispam. Finally loads it all after the next attempt.

Conflicts between Vista and AC's firewall disable my internet connection. it is two hours before we find a workaround.

Attempting to install WoW results in another Vista freeze. Vista wants to load the disc on startup. When we decline, Vista refuses to load.

The techie says, "!%*% this. I'm going to reconfigure the hard drive and load XP on here."

anyone else think that it's Vista or my computer?

  9.

First of all, these reliable sources. Do they know anything of computers? It's got nothing to do with what make the computer is. It's to do with the components inside. Trust me, someone who has built and maintained his own computers for around 6 years now, that computer is not for gaming. It's to be used for normal family based stuff, going on the web, writing up documents and making slideshows. Editing pictures etc...

BUT! If you do get the PC, install WoW and have little or no lag. You have my permission to bite my [wagon] off (with proof of course) and call me stupid 'n'stuff.

And if you seriously are considering endgame raiding, you better get a decent dedicated graphics card. Sure you can handle the lag, but can the other 9 or 24 members of your team handle it? If you go DPS it might be tolerable for you to lose some damage but if you're tanking or healing, losing aggro or healing could result in a wipe and very angry people. :P

His brother is an experienced computer technician, so I trust his take on it.

Reading through the forums, you see an awful lot of people playing WoW using computers that are not dedicated to gaming, yet still manage to play the game well. It may not be the "mega ultimate gaming computer" that has 70 fps in Aldor Rise of Shattrath, but it will get considerably better FPS than my last computer (Which was barely big enough for TBC anyways, and lag was horrid). I'm looking forward to walking through Orgrimmar with manageable FPS for once, and returning to PvP.

  10. All it really means is I'm going to have some framerate lag. Which I'm used to, considering my past computers. A reliable source told me that Gateway computers are very good gaming computers. As for Shattrath, I've read on the WoW forums that lag there is pretty much going to be a given anyways. It'll just be a throwback to my early days in Stormwind.

I rarely, if ever, alt-tab out of anything. If I want to listen to music, I have a CD player handy. :D My only concern is with Ventrilo, if I plan on any sort of endgame raiding.

I'm looking forward to coming back to WoW. All of these console games I've been playing never seem to dent my incurable boredom like WoW does. :)

  11. While rummaging through my inventory a while back, I had a few grimy herbs. Looking to cut down on the confusion that is the member banks, I decide to sell them. For a grand total of around 25 herbs or so, I made close to 30000. I don't recall whay herbs I had, but I had plenty of high level herbs (a lot of 45+ herbs). Was this person being generous, or is this still valid? If so, I may have just found myself a way to grind for gear that doesn't suck.

  12. well the main difference between runescape and all the other MMORPGs is that runescape offers the widest range of activities for you to do...i mean for most other MMORPGs like granado espada, maple story, WOW et cetera fighting is just about the only thing u can do...okie well maybe questing (which most probably involves some sort of fighting as well tbh :-w ) so it gets pretty boring after a while. but on runescape if u get bored of combat there are a hundred and one other things u can do...not to mention all the mini games \' and the quests are pretty interesting and updated quite often :)

Hmm. And yet, the tradeskills in Runescape tend to become incredibly tedious over time.

World of Warcraft also has a variety of things you can do, and yes, there are mini games. (Darkmoon Faire, the Chess event in Karazhan) The fighting's not boring at all, especially when you go dungeon crawling. What gets boring is (As in Runescape) trade skills, and (Not in Runescape) reputation grinds.
