  1. For just walking around or skilling, I'd say the gaunts look nicer with your plate. The white of the gauntlets really make the plate pop.

When you're training, wear the gloves that have the better stats

  2. I've been searching this site from top to bottom, I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for! I know I did see a guide somewhere, maybe not this site, maybe another one (can't remember which) It was titled something like... "Quest items, what to keep, what to toss" At any rate, I might just follow your suggestion, and just write my own darn guide :P

  3. Either way is fine with me. I do like the list at the bottom of the map better than the clickable map. I don't care for the clickable maps as my computer thinks its a pop up and tries to block them, causing horrendous lag.

Still a pretty neat idea though, thanks for always comming up with new ideas to make our home easier to use :)

  4. Edible rares have never been as popular as wearable rares. I'm still sitting on easter eggs from ages ago. Those easter eggs were 10 mil a few months ago, and down to 7M a few weeks back.

However, a rare is a rare. After time, the price will rise just not as fast or as much as the wearables do.

  5. I always treat others how I expect them to treat me. If they don't want to follow my path, that's cool - I just hop worlds.

The anonymity factor in this game also contributes alot to the online bullying. It's easy to be cruel and ugly to others when they don't know who you are or where you live. I'm usually nice to everyone I meet unless they prove themselves unworthy of my company, and they end up on the ignore list.

There are so many places to get resources in P2P that if there is a crowded area, I can usually go somewhere else to get what I need. It would be awesome if other people could play like I do, but I don't expect it. All of the diffrent kinds of people out there is what makes RS a good game, to me.

Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad.

  6. Luckiest drop ever... Left half from Hill Giants, believe it or not. I was just down there trying to score some limpwurts :P

That's the only thing that I can ever claim to have gotten as a "good" drop.

I've gotten my share of clue scrolls but never got anything worth the laws or the time spent hunting out the treasure.

  7. the only time jagex ever reversed their decision was with SS issue, but it did that because of reasonable debate with people involved in SS making. Most likely people thing that after SS riots and decision reversal they have power to make Jagex to go back, but this time noone will win.

I'd like to point out that Jagex has changed things around when the majority of the community was unhappy with an update, Fatigue v1 anyone? I'm sure that there have been alot of times where Jagex went back and fixed something truly detestable to the RS population, that's just the first big thing that came to mind when I read that.

I played PC all day yesterday, 2/3 of the players there metioned that they liked the new PC, and were happy with it. To say that these riots, protests, demenstrations, or whatever we're calling yesterday's incident were ineffective isn't true. They did accomplish something, they got everybody talking about it good or bad it did generate attention.

  8. You don't need to cross white wolf mountain to get over to that side of the map. You could take a boat from brimhaven, which is on the far end of karamja for 30 gp. It will take you to Ardougne. Seer's is a short walk north from there.

You can also charter a boat from port sarim. It will cost you a bit more, but they will drop you off at catherby, far closer than ardy is to seer's village.

  9. I'm with Dax on agility being slow. I also agree that RC and Farming are right up there with agility on the slowness scale.

I haven't found slayer to be a slow moving skill for me, maybe it's just a perception thing. When I go out for slayer lvls, I'm more focused on combat which is what probably what distracts me from a slow exp gain in that lvl.

  10. You'll need to build a parlour I don't know offhand what that costs, maybe 5k. Then make your clay into soft clay if it's not already. Make a ton of fireplaces or regular chairs when you can. Break them down and keep going. You will also need some nails for the chairs, not many though. I made the mistake of making 1k steel nails and I don't think that I used half of them. Using the best nail you can lessens the chances of your nails breaking. I used steel because at the time, it was the best I could make.

Check out tips guide on construction for more info on getting started. They have everything about construction you'll ever need to know. I really like cons as a skill, I'm just bummed I don't have any gp to sink into it now.

For even more free exp in cons, try using any genie lamps you have on cons untill you reach your goal. It would be very little exp, but thats one less fireplace or chair you'd have to make.

  11. Don't babysit your crops, you waste alot of time like that. I think you can use an ammy of nature for your special patches. Ammy of nature is emerald ammy strung with a magic string, obtained from digging up a magic tree root and then use it on a spinning wheel. You can then use your ammy to "bind" the patch. What that will do is tell you if that patch is diseased when you activate or operate the ammy.

For me, I just plant and go. I haven't ever had a diseased cactus. I haven't tried growing a calquat tree yet, but I have grown some belladonna. My bella's have gotten diseased a few times. I just dig them up and start over.

For something like a calquat though, might be worth looking into getting an amulet of nature for that. Check tip's farming or crafting skill guide to see if it can be bound to special patches.

  12. Angat, at 35-40 agility, wouldn't Maxx fail alot of the obstacles? If I remember correctly I think you can do barbarian outpost at 35, also slow like gnome stronghold, but a bit better exp per lap. However Max should at least give Brimhaven a shot and see how he does exp wise compared to his previous methods. You sure can rack up alot of exp at Brimhaven and all you need to pay is the entrance fee and bring your own food. Some agility pots would be usefull at brimhaven too, some obstacles make you lose agility lvls temporarily if you fail.

As for construction, I think I went real cheap from 1-40. 1-40 in any skill doesn't take a whole lot of effort. I went and got my own planks (free on Entrana if you have the patience to collect them). I think I also used alot of clay which I also got for free.

All in all, your total cost would be about 0 if you can get your own food for agility, and your own construction supplies.

  13. As much as I hate cannons  , I have seen alot set up at the rock crabs like you said, and I have seen some setup close to the entrance of the kalphite lair, just away from the rope you climb down.

Someone did that to me the other day, I was just about done with my slayer task. The Kalaphites had just stopped being agro to me, and this guy comes in and drops a cannon down *sigh* (some people have no manners), I hopped worlds, finished my task, and got over it.

Xbox..., have you tried taking it down to the dagganoth's under the light house?

  14. I agree, slayer has got to be the best way to get cb lvls up without PC. At first I didn't really like slayer because I didn't like to be told what to fight. I got over it pretty quickly once I tried it for a week. Since you're at a crossroads as to where to take your training, try it out. You can always go do something else if you change your mind.

I ended up liking slayer because I was actually getting a fair amount of decent drops like armours, herbs, gems and some fodder for my alching habit. It's good to try new things.

  15. I applaud your tenacity, =D> two 99's already and going for a third. However this caught my attention :

What skill should i train? Lookin for a cape people love and I can do before September 3.

Why do you need other people to define who you are as a player? I say, pick a skill that YOU love, and get 99 before sept 3.

Good luck with your goals and ambitions

  16. Yes it's a pure vanity thing. It's also pretty neat-o to be able to wear 2 pieces of headgear at the same time, when before you couldn't do it. I dig the black mask/cav combo on guys, kind of makes them look like Zorro.

Wearing your black beret with mime mask adds more authenticity to the mime look we have in game. When you think of a mime, he's got the white painted face, black beret, stripy shirt, white gloves, black pants, and shoes.

Just makes sense that we can combine those items now for a fun new look.

  17. Banking your ores, whatever you choose to mine seems like a good idea to me. So what if it's slow, whats the rush? You'll have tons of ores to play with when you're done. Think of all the free smithing exp!

Good luck with all of your goals and ambitions however you choose to gain them :)
