They should have been given enough to keep them satisfied for a while. But I guess if you give the beggars a taste of high society they will only want more!
How are they beggars? F2P Really doesn't ask for a lot, at all. If anything, Members are the ones that keep wanting more, half of us are never satisfied, while F2P remains quiet, happy with what they have for the most part.
Oh you are so full of [cabbage] it's not funny. Every f2per I know (and probably every one I don't) is always complaining or askin' for MOAR MOAR MOAR like spoiled little children. Of course, this is the case with all of RuneScape, but saying that F2Pers "remain quiet, happy with what they have for the most part" is completely erroneous.
this is the truth. Honestly, I don't blame JaGex for giving f2p a small taste and incentive to get members - a company has every right to advertise its products. The 'keeping f2p as a full part of the game, not a trial' is [cabbage], but that's okay. Also, while I'm on the point, I think that's the entire point of keeping skill capes p2p-only - it's a hugely enticing draw for a f2p to pay for at least a month to get the cape. Wouldn't you pay $6 for a friggin skill cape??

I'd love to be involved in a 'new' RS, but certinaly woulnd't want to lose my old account. Maybe make certain servers the new game, others keep the same rs2?

Not bad, especially for a first!
I'd suggest changing the font though, or do something about it - it doesn't stand out enough. Maybe even something as simple as adding a border color to the text.
Overall, nice job.

What you are reffering to is probably found under "filters" in the toolbar on the top of your image. There's a bunch of sub-menus in there. Really familiarize yourself with these filters - they're the best part about the GIMP :) :thumbup:

Well, if you were given a car with a couple ads on it, would you call it free? of course!
ftp-ers are not paying a penny, and therefore it is free in monetary value. Time and effort could be taken into consideration as well, but that's another story
Also, firefox has add-ons to block those ads... :x

I'll be honest, that side nav bar doesn't fit as well as it could in either color scheme, in my opinoin. The red is much to harsh in the first one, and I tihnk the grey is too dark/lacking a light accent/draws too much attention to itself. Love the top nav bar though! This really is excellent for having no images
