topic title says it all.

Claws for special attack at least, i'd mage the other brothers, but that is of course depending on your levels, so it would be nice if you posted them.
I don't like Mage and my range level is abysmal compared to my melee levels. (75 ranged, 90attack/85str/80def)

(I know the chaotic longsword/rapier are the best, but I don't want to level dung that high, so don't suggest it.)
Whip + D defender, a godsword, or a certain barrows set?
-
Personally, I'd try mining iron near that deposit box in one of those DG rescource dungeons. Mainly because I find banking stuff a much easier way to clear my inventory then right clicking and dropping 28 items >_>
What DG level does it require? I hate the skill with a passion, so if it's higher than 50 I can't do it.
-
So far I've been mining/dropping iron. Would mining/dropping gold at the crafting guild be more worth it?

The game in 2006 actually was a lot better....there was actually a community than.
There was not. Unless the "community" you speak of consists of scammers, immature 10 year olds, and bots. In which case that community still exists.
-
Everyone can have their own opinion. 2006 RS was great fun imo.
Yes, I had fun in 2006 RS. Obviously I liked it if I actively played it. I just hate it when people talk about 2006 like it was the Utopia golden age of RS when it had just as many problems as it does now.

This belongs in rants. And you forgot there was no GE in 06.
Where did I mention the GE in my post? I said W2 Fally.
-
People wearing rose-tinted glasses. Drunk on nostalgia. The idiots who say "oh in 2006 the game was so wonderful and nice there was no bots and no scamming and everyone loved each other"
I played in 2006, and I remember how it was back then. IT SUCKED.
In 2006, there were still scammers, even moreso than there are now. W2 Fally was FULL of scammers (most were stupid and unsuccessful, though). There were still trolls and immature idiots who ran around begging for money and trying to scam. They always existed, and they don't exist any more now than they did then.
As for bots, they're nothing new! Back in 2006, if you went to the yew trees in varrock or edgeville on any free world, you'd see 50+ level 3 bots there! I'm not denying there has been a bot influx with the reintroduction of free trade, but what I'm trying to say is that it's nothing new.

Those two are always very crowded, and I don't care about distance from a bank as I'm just trying to level, so i'd just drop them.

Topic title says it all. Also, please no comments about how "Fishing sucks for money do something else". I enjoy fishing, even if it isn't the best money maker. And whenever I bring up fishing some smartass decides to tell me it's a crap money maker.
-
I've heard 84, but it's been constantly full all day. So, what's the 2nd best world for it? I tried fishing there on an empty world but it's damn near impossible with those things attacking you.
-
Let me put it this way...
If c2 dungeoneering is the best fishing exp, what is the 2nd best fishing exp?
-
best fishing exp atm is c2 fishing in dungeoneering iirc.
Besides that, please. I don't like dungeoneering and don't want anything to do with it.
-
I'm about to hit 90 fishing, which means I'll be able to fish rocktails. Which is fastest 90+ for exp? Fly fishing, monks, or rocktails?
And which is the best for gold/hour? Sharks? Rocktails again? Cavefish?
And one more question, how slow are rocktails compared to monks/sharks?
-
On complexity 6 ^
-
Do you get anything out of it besides the token rewards (chaotic rapier and such), resource dungeons, and total level?
-
I've been running around allotment/herb/flower patches at level 46 farming. I plant strawberries, limpwurt, and ranarrs. A few questions...
1. At 47 should I start planting watermelons?
2. Limpwurts are the best flower to plant forever, right?
3. At 62, should I continue planting Ranarrs or move on to Snapdragons? After doing price research it seems Snapdragons are only more profitable if you luck out and get 7+ in one planting.
-
They were horrible money to begin with. And now botters have driven the price down even lower. Don't bother.
Well, I'm starting the game again with very little cash. So I can't really kill things for money without good gear, and fishing is my only 80+ skill that can be used to make money.
-
Years ago when I played, sharks were easily better. But now shark prices are about half of what they used to be.
-
I haven't tried it yet. I'm not asking for a guide or tips or anything, just how you feel about it. do you have fun?
-
2006 was the period where I played RS the most. My activity declined a lot in 2007 and completely quitting just before 2008. I just started again a few weeks ago, and the game just doesn't feel the same. It's still great and I still enjoy playing it, but it just doesn't feel the same as it did in 2006. For anyone else who's been playing since then, how do you feel about current RS vs. 2006 RS?
Was this email legit?

Dear Player,
We have strong evidence that you may have purchased and used botting software in the past, specifically Botting software.
Botting and the cheating it brings is destroying your game, violates Jagex's rights under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and any player that continues to engage in botting activity has no place in our community.
As part of bot nuke week we are offering you a 1 time amnesty and settlement lifeline, which is a chance to reform and change your ways. We'd like you to contribute to the community in a positive way, to compete on a level playing field as everyone else does and play in the true spirit of the game, with integrity. All of your accounts, main and otherwise, are now on our watch list and will be monitored for the use of ibot and all other inappropriate third-party software. Regardless of who you are or how long you've been with us, if you decide to cheat and bot ever again we will have no hesitation in: (1) permanently removing your account from our wonderful community in order to protect Jagex's rights under the DMCA, and (2) naming you as a defendant in Jagex Limited v. John Does, which is a lawsuit based on DMCA violations that is currently pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (Civ. Action No. SACV11-00969-CJC).
Please note that this amnesty and settlement offer is protected under Fed. R. Evid. 408. If you ignore our offer and instead continue use botting software, we reserve our rights to pursue statutory damages against you for between $200 to $2,500 per act of past, present, and/or future botting in accordance with 17 U.S.C. 1203©(3).
We do hope you make the morally sound and lawful choice of turning your back on bots. We look forward to seeing you in game having fun in a way that is true to the spirit of fair play and respectful to your fellow players.
