In alot of cases the exeptions are more common then the streotype.
I'd disagree with that; stereotypes exist because they are often true.
I may sound like a dolt for saying that but I do think the exceptions to stereotypes are not as common as you may think. You only think about it for others when it's an exception and likewise, you think of the ones that affect you subconciously,, and most likely, you live up to it. Bam, you're a stereotypical whatever-you-are.
It's a shame though, because stereotypes are perpetuated almost by the sheer existence of themselves.

P.S. I'm Canadian and can't wait for the hockey season to begin!

shesh come on anyone into blues guitariests?
Derek Trucks?
He's very diverse though.
steve vai is also over rated he uses lightest strings possible so doesent have to pluck for every noteI dunno what you're on, but Vai's picking speed is more than amazing. I'm not a fan of his music, but don't disrepect his virtuosity like that.

1. John Petrucci
2. Joe Satriani (My guitar playing is most influenced by 1 & 2)
3. Paul Gilbert

Off topic: Notice how everyone's spelling and grammar in this topic is really good? For fear of being picked out as a hypocrit :P
Oh, the irony...

If I didn't know better, I'd say you caught the love virus. 8)
The poem's not really legible, more could have been done with the background, it's cliche material, but you know, I won't criticize you...
I think only you can understand the true depth of this piece.

if you substitute the word "satanism" for "huminism" that would make it sound better...the 2 sects are almost the same as far as beleafs.
Religion with out the worship of a god.
I am surprised at all the Kids who replyed to this, who never bothered to read earlier posts, or evan reserch this subject....automatciall the name "satinism" ment 'bad'...so sad
Lmao. The information your brought in was already posted, so maybe you should have read earlier posts, eh?
And uhh...Kids? This coming from the guy who spelt 2 words correctly.

The sky colouration is way too saturated, which clashes with the unrealistic texture and colour of the mountains. There's also some mistakes as far as lighting, bright clouds right on top of darkest moutains, etc...
Nice lake?

Because I can remember one successful thing to have come out of Canada. [/sarcasm]
I'll have you know the sesame seed bagel was a Canadian invention.
Or at least, I think so.

P.S. We got Red Green too ;) That's a billion times better than Corrie Street. In fact, we're better than you in everyway if you ignore british rock n' roll and the fact that you are our sovereign leader and ...uhm.
-
Yeah, you Brits are really lame.
We Canadians are even lamer for broadcasting your crap.

Very nice man, great use of colors. 'Fraid I can't give much C&C though, I like it the way it is.
Oh, I DevWatched ya on dA. Hope you don't mind.
~Cal
Thanks, :P
But I'm afraid I don't really hang out at DevART a whole lot anymore.
It looks really good. For some reason I'm getting a Starry Night feeling but that was pastels I believe..I think it's just the blending of the colors. My only real problem is the yellow used to outline the clouds. It's a little too scribbled in my opinion. They're not defining the clouds like it seems they should be. They're just kind of there.
Great other than that, the boat scene is lovely.
Hah, Starry Night was oils I think, but you're right. Both the colours and the stroke fury are imitations like Van Gogh, but I didn't do that on purpose. As for the yellow, yes, you're right again, the only problem with markers is that you can't undo a step. I didn't even mean for the yellow to be there.
Thanks,

The atmosphere is seriously gross. You might wanna photoshop it.
~witty
Yeah i know it is. I might try and get around to replacing it with some stock photos and stuff, but sadly even though i tried to fix the atmosphere later on in terragen, it screws up the lighting on the landscape to where i can't even see it :(
That's why I said photoshop. Use some brushing and layer modes to lighten it up, desaturate it and still keep a hellish feel.
Right now it looks like blood-shot hangover.

Thanks all, but if you looked at the Moda Lisa side by side with this, you'd see it's very badly done. Yes, it is pencil, I just tinted it with my scanning program. No, there won't be a finished version, I'm too lazy. And also, the real Mona Lisa does have a stray line across her forehead, that I never really understood.

i probaly came into the scene around the 2nd/3rd era.
Uhm, no. The second and third were way before your time and you were a complete noob throughout the fourth to ninth. I don't remember you being part of SMG, so I figure you must have become popular after the SMG and DAG era.
Which me and azvy kind of started lol  .Again, no.
Whatever, not saying old is gold, because obviously the standards raise over time, but don't try to fool those who weren't there to begin with.
And jesus [bleep]ing christ, how many smilies do you use per post.
