UPDATE: 1st September
We’ve had a bunch of feedback regarding the Raffle and will be making some last minute adjustments. The largest concern was the quantity of prizes in the raffle and their potential impact on the game economy. While our research and balancing gives us confidence the prize quantities won’t have a long-term negative impact, I appreciate the overall concern and understand that players want us to be more conservative with the prize balancing.The following changes have been made:All prize quantities have been be halved (gold down from 200 to 100, godswords down from 5,000 to 2,500, etc)The Golden Godswords and Golden Warpriest armour will not be protect-on-death (i.e. they’ll behave the same as their regular versions)We’ve added an alternative for players to get a 2nd raffle ticket by completing a daily challenge if they cannot meet a JModFamiliars will be blocked from the Lumbridge Crater, as they are at some banks and the Grand Exchange.We will be adding an extra JMod ticket session US Eastern players to attend early evening – this will be midnight BST / 7pm EDTWe hope this will address most of the issues raised so far.Mod Pips, Mod Drew and the RuneScape teamI like the daily challenge thing, at least you can earn your second ticket whenever you want. -

The books always are fun to read, and it's not like a lot of work/time is required to make them.

Lifeboats are consumed when used. Afaik it was in the same update that changed randoms to one per day.
I had a crewmember saved a few days ago, and all my ships still have an active lifeboat, so i guess it's still permanent.

So what storylines are there still in RuneScape?
I think: Elves, Vampyre/Myreque, Gnome, Fremennik and ofc the new storylines of the gods.

I've been working 5 hours a day for 8 weeks long to get all the tears for all the rewards of both sides...
5% discount on everything. Beter late then never i guess...

Aside from that, why are we not allowed to use bonus experience on new skills? (I am aware that they do his for all new skills) Because apparently that would give a so-called 'unfair' advantage to the people in the mindless race to be number 1. The only problem being the one people interested in seriously racing to the top are something like 500 people who are on top of the highscores who have deranged priorities, and thus have decided to waste all their time on this. Well, if they want to do that, sure, they can. But why is everyone else being held hostage for the senseless hobbies of a few people? Let us use our bonus experience, damnit.
Because then the first person to 99 divination would have been somebody who bought tons of spins to get divination xp.
Actually i'm quite surprised they don't allow bonus xp yet, it would have made them so much money.

Ports is very fun, especially when you first start doing it:
There are 6 adventurers in the ports, and each of they has a lvl 90 requirement to encounter them (Herblore, Prayer, Thieving, Slayer, Runecrafing and Fishing).

Is there a technique to get those xp rates? Like do you play full time or how many points do you aim for?

I don't recall them mentioning that they'd be releasing anything else in june aside from what was announced.

I'm not digging how the different chats set up by warband pk is making people who should be cooperating turn against eachother. Case in point, I was running back from ELM share and switched to the next world. Then, as I was approaching Edgeville attempting to get into the fc, someone clearly in that chat pked me. Also the pkers have gotten more brazen as the anti-pkers have grown too thin across multiple chats.
Their policy is 'kill all white dots', so it's kinda logical. Besides, it's the wilderniss, there will always be people trying to kill you, even if you're in the same chat :|
It sucks when it happens to you, but the xp is so huge because it was meant to be hard to get due to the pk'ers.
it still needs to be nerfed though.

Anyone feel that when it comes to using the fourth ship you feel shafted once the other three are settled and out. I feel this minigame was designed for three ships and the fourth you either used as a gamble or was a half effort by saving a weak voyage for its use.
Being limited to only 25 crewmembers max really hurts when you have a fourth ship =/

Got 5K construction xp at lvl 82 construction, 2.5k slay xp at lvl 86 and 4.5K prayer xp at lvl 93 Prayer.
The puzzle is really easy and doesn't take long, so the rewards are quite low, but still worth the time ofc.

Did anyone get 17 missions today instead of the usual 12?
edit: I did have two undone from the previous day, would that effect anything?
I've got sixteen. Didn't get to one of the previous day's.
I think they upped the daily amount of voyages from 12 to 15.

After the quest, you can see thzaar throwing tokkul into the flow of sacred lava near the Fight Cauldron.
So, (lore-wise) they have stopped using tokkul as a a currency and instead they cast it into the sacred lava, releasing the dead tzhaars' souls from their pain.

I don't think they will chance a lot of things from the beta as it currently is. So yes, the current beta is (mostly) how the live game is going to be.
I could probably go into the beta right now and pick out a fair amount of areas where it just isn't ready yet. Off the top of my head:
-Dragon Slayer is more or less impossible if you're a F2P'er, because Elvarg's fire is broken
-Stats really don't matter
-They claim to have filled the gaps in equipment. This is quite far from the truth.
Filled? They have it even made it worse by downgrading non-nex GWD gear to the stats of barrows gear (gf all the people who are still running around in Bandos gear right now.)
I'm hopeful that a lot of these things will still be corrected after they are implemented into the live game (because suddenly a lot of people will start complaining),
but it's just kind of concerning that they are already going to take it out of beta with a lot of things still being wrong.

They did improvements from the feedback they got, the beta is not how the live relase will be. I think it's going to be great, relased just so I can finish off 99 Slayer with a more interesting combat system. :)
I don't think they will change a lot of things from the beta as it currently is. So yes, the current beta is (mostly) how the live game is going to be.

I still don't like how levels only allow you to unlock abilities and equipment. Gaining a strength level should raise your max hit by a lot more than 1.
Maybe have your strength level be the percentage of the weapon's damage that you have access to? So at 99 strength you'd get 980 damage out of your chaotic rapier (Or whatever the bonus is), while at 80 your max would be 784 and boosting to 115 makes it 1127.
This sounds like a good idea. My main concern with EoC is that levels, potions and prayers have almost no effect on your damage output. I realize they are currently far too powerful in the live game, but by tacking all stats onto equipment they are essentially doing the same thing again, but instead of needing ovl/turm to compete, you need the best/priciest gears. It might not be so much of an issue yet due to the smaller difference between barrows-GWD-Nex, but as better gear comes out (such as via POPs) it seems likely to get worse.
And another problem with that is that (currently) in the beta, non-nex GWD gear has exactly the same stats as barrows gear. (Apart from a very small prayer bonus ofc.)
Wich means that from lvl 70 on, the only improvement in gear you can get is Nex gear...
I really hope they upgrade GWD gear back to 75 again, cause otherwise Bandos/armadyl/robes of subjegation will be pretty much worthless.

But then they doubled the chance of getting the other lamps, which are the slow, non buyable skills.
They actually made buying spins more productive with this, they just disguised it slightly.
The double chance is only this weekend i think?
This appears to be the game from Mark Gerhard's new company that several J Mods have left Jagex to work on.
