I've been playing rs for about 3-4 years now (maybe 5? I can't remember) :shock:, but I always quit for months at a time. I haven't played for about 3 months this time and the reason is the same as the other times - nothing to do and I had done all the fun Barrows/GWD type things 100 times. The last 99 I got was fishing and I did a lot of slaying before I quit. I miss RS, but its boring to me, does anyone have some advice, stories, or news that could make me want to play again? I know there was a slayer update and the graphic update, but I didn't really care :|. Or maybe I should just stay on break until I really want to play again? I can't think of anything that would make me start wanting to play again though :?

I would recommend 85 or so range and defense. Also being able to kill spiritual warriors would help because they rarely hit you so you wouldn't waste food getting the kill count.

That sucks with the dragons and treasure trail, but at least you got the glory that was the important one.

Green d'hide bodies are alright, but only if you manage to buy them at the minimum price. I only managed to get 100 at 1440 each.

It really is random or else a very low drop rate because there is a video of a guy that killed 4k mith drags and never got a full helm or visage. He also used the chewed bones and still no full helm.

I'm not really looking for profit, but for not losing a ton of money. Is mage training as good or better xp than just alching?

Only 0-50 per alch?
Well, previously before the update, you wouldn't even lose that much with Yew Longs. (600 + 250 = 850, 850 - 768 = 82 gp per alch)
Magic Longs and Green D'hide would probably work as well and you would lose less money.
Breaking even or making profit with alching is really only possible if you obtain one of the materials yourself (like cratfing natures).

Why are people saying that it is the end of bosses? They are adding the lootshare feature for valuable items like a d chain so people can split the money from it.
Also, people are saying "bye trading items!", but you can still trade things with people as long as its a fair trade (once G.E. is updated) and the Grand Exchange still is trading with people its just a lot easier.

I might have seen this "big foot" thing once. I had sailed to brimhaven from ardougne, and I was walking off the dock when I see this thing that looked like a troll running past me. Actually it was running pretty fast, maybe 2x the speed we run now? Not really sure since it happened so fast.
Can't remember if it was gray or beige or what, but I haven't seen anything like it since then.
Well that is probably......definitely it. Maybe it's only on Brimhaven and not all farming patches. People said they were going to their fruit trees when they saw it so what you said would make sense.

Players cannot get runes that are required to have a higher Runecrafting then there own
...........They didn't remove trading. People can just buy runes from a store or players or the grand exchange.

I was lucky enough to buy dragon bones soon before this update and then realize they were big bones and lose 8m!

Runescape helps with my grades because when I have homework I make myself fish or something so then I have nothing to do on runescape and have to do my homework :D

I've lost like 20m from being scammed =/. The most recent one was about 2 days ago....so close to the trade limit update!!!! Anyway I was buying Dragon bones and multitasking (watchin vids readin stuff bla bla) and I got big bones instead....lost 8m!!!

Oh and about the life talisman, does your source have a picture or is it just word of mouth?
EDIT:i hadn't seen those icons, but if you look at the mugs in all 3 development diaries they make 3/4ths of the summoning icon and it looks like a wolf, ROSSODIAVOLO found out the icon on the pet shop counter is the hunter symbol...Hmm. and yea the talisman is just word of mouth so I'm not sure of it.
Well you can see in and open and close the door if you time it right...piccy...

I thought they weren't going to link it heavily to hunter (like mining to smithing) but maybe they will ??

some guy made the glitch work! now in world 132 we get to open and close the pet shop door....not sure if anyone post this thing yet.

As for the "big foot"... i'm a self confessed farmaholic...ive been farming for about 4-6 hrs a day for the past cpla weeks...and i havent seen ANYTHING...However...try doing a runescape forum search for bigfoot....
All it says is

YES! Those seem a lot like it. I just had a thought....if the pets aren't all fighters then maybe they help with skills. Like those two help you with farming and some others help with smithing etc. I go to the 5 herb farming patches every hour and a half so I'm gonna be on the lookout for it.

I think I just found it... is there really gonna be a pvp anywhere thing?
Edit- Found it and it sounds pretty cool :thumbsup: I'll probably wait and see what drops you can get from killing people incase its not rewarding at all. And I'm horrible at PvP so I won't even use it much :|, but I guess I will try
