Two of the new summoning creatures double up as either Harpoons (Granite Crab I think) or Big Nets. It is NOT a glitch
My gecko let me harpoon fish without one, so it is a bug or something. Already sent a report to jagex.

You still don't get exp for actually using the pouches (at least, I don't think that you do). The only way to actually gain a non-negligible amount of experience is by making pouches, and that hasn't changed.
This is an improvement, but I personally would have preferred keeping the shard price, but allowing you to get a significant amount of exp (even if only 1 exp per damage point) for the damage that your familiar deals. Meh.
Yeah, actually summoning doesn't have to do with combat.... it shouldn't raise cb lvl. I believe the post said half? So what should they be now 25 ea. shard if I remember correctly.
-
What would make summoning a good skill it that:
1.- Shards reduced to 20-25 ea.
2.-Good xp from actually summoning the creature, after all it's the name of the skill, not pouchcrafting..... :x
3.-Reducing the exp gained by making the pouches, so that people will actually train fighting.
4.- Getting exp from what your familiar hits just like slayer.
With those things, I would be very very very happy :

The only thing I dislike is the scroll stuff on the skills.
-
Redo the XP system so that a summoned familiar gets XP for the damage it does like any other combat skill.
Yeah, it is supposed to be a COMBAT skill, you could get all the way to 99 without fighting with your familiar or even summoning one .. that's the only thing that annoys me...
-
In summoning, instead of getting exp from handling and summoning beasts like a proper summoner should, you get exp from making pouches at an altar and you getting better at summoning beasts by doing that... pff.. It is the equivalent of getting firemaking exp for drawing fires on pieces of paper. Jagex obviously wanted to make this skill yet another money drain for elites, not a skill for everyone to enjoy
Sooooo true, summoning should give you the exp while fightning with your familiar or actually when you sumon it, jagex got wrong the concept about summoning.. hopefully the skill will be better on february..
-
Why do you to suggest a mix between two games so different? I don't think that "hybrid" would work because many people would just start complaining aboout rs stealing from WoW and vice-versa.
EDIT: Just read your last post, I agree you should be given the xp when summoning instead when making the pouch.

then I would go to f2p and laugh at noobs that think 126 is the max level and I'd say I hacked runescape.
If you get your combat lvl to 138 in f2p worlds you would still be lvl 126.
I think I might buy some but not all since it would be increadibly expensive and don't have the cash..
-
Nope, they dont sell there, please need help he is 52% of hungry :anxious:
Yes they do, I got mine from there.
-
I heard that granite crabs are good... not sure
-
They changed all the rares' prices recently. Dunno why they would do that :-k
Jagex have always been against the enormous amounts of gp paid for items that we're supposed to be for fun. Maybe that's why?
-
Myself I'm doing nothing about it beacause people just start thinking things you might need and start gathering random ( or even useless) items. And since Jagex will take control of the prices those items won't sky-rocket in price meaning a lot of wasted time + many items that won't really help you on summoning.
Ofcourse someone just might have collected the right items and get the lvl to a decent lvl, but still it will be full of lagg and stuff.
I'll wait and see which items I really need and then start getting them:^_^:
-
Lol, what would be runescape without all those noobs? Sometimes they are really annoying but atleast for me they make me laugh once in a while
-
I haven't had the chance to repair one, but when I see one I'll repair it for sure. Hopefully someone will do the same thing for me in the future.
-
I believe it was removed with the BH and Clan wars update. Follow odie's advice, its a good one. I dont know how far those hill giants are from CW so maybe you could try the ones of edgeville dungeon.
-
Ranged, of course I dont like the others since almost anyone can get them extremely easy.
-
but what exactly can p mods do. temporarily mute u. pshh that nothing
Actually, Jagex read their reports before the one of the other players. And they also got a special button that you save the name of the character and then just click on which rule he/she is breaking. Maybe they dont do THAT much, but its something :
-
At 75 I chopped them pretty well, I wouldnt wait until 80+ since willows and maples will take forever and almost not good profit.
-
gettin cash from drags, got all verac's items without helm, got around 300k cash... again: how much KC to get profit in barrows? and could someone nice give me a nice set up? plzzzz
I think you should keep on the dragons, maybe faster than barrows?
-
I would say that you train hunter, its a nice profit if you keep at it.
-
If thats all your money, I would suggest that you "invest" it on a skill, but thats just me.
-
Lol, next time just obey jagex
-
Actually its pretty easy. Where you might have a hardest time is while defending and being a medic ( heal others and poison the monsters). I think you should go with collector or attacker first to see better how things are done there.
