  1. To be honest I wouldn't be that different without runescape. I stopped playing for ~8 months and didn't feel any different because I have a social life and play 4 competitive sports on a weekly basis. I'm completing my final year at high school with my lowest mark at 17/20. I've been able to balance everyday life with runescape without compromising other things like school. I generally only play runescape at night after sport/work/socialising and then after homework.

I think it's not the game itself that is the reason for many people's frustration and/or lack of social life etc. it's just ones ability to manage their time responsibly. I'm sure those major 'scappers who dedicate hours and hours to this game, given the opportunity to be able to organise their time to play and have an active and sociable life, would jump at it and still have the same enjoyment from the game. Although the game can be addicting for some, personally I believe incorporating runescape into your life without letting it control you is the key.

  2. I've been doing Zamorak a fair bit with ls and cs activated and when a dragon dagger *also note it is (p++)* has dropped it has not been split as a cs drop, as printed on the guide.

" The drop will be converted to coins and all lootshare members will receive an equal split if K'ril Tsutsaroth or any of his minions drop any of these items:

    Godsword shard 1, 2, or 3

    Zamorakian Spear

    Zamorak Hilt

    Dragon Med Helm

    Steam Battlestaff

    Shield Left Half (dragon)

    Dragon Dagger "

  3. I had always wondered how rare a split drop from a bandos minion was. Earlier in the trip we got another Godsword Shard 1 from the mager, but I thought this particular set of events was print screenable. Getting 2 out of the 3 dropping a split item made me wonder what those chances were. Unfortunately it was only more shards but I still thought it was a one off...

Has anyone else experianced a 'double drop' or even a bandos item from the minions?

  4. I was doing a clue today and noticed a map had changed from that on this site (for West Ardougne). I have attatched an image containing me in the same spot with the map and then digging and getting the next part for clarification. Unfortunately as I don't currently own Photoshop (and cant be bothered using paint) the .PNG image of the map has some background in it so I guess you can tamper with it there if desired.

  5. Just a quick thing about new Runecrafting Talisman

I just did it, It requires all the talismans available to buy at the guild + death and blood ones. So that is: Air, Water, Fire, Earth, Body, Mind, Chaos, Nature, Law, Death and Blood Talisman

After you show all of these talismans (by using on Elriss) you recieve a total of 13,588 runecrafting exp and the Talisman (also the talismans aren't combined to make it. You still keep your original ones but recieve the new talisman in a spare inventory spot.)

Examine: Many mysterious powers emanate from the talisman.

All other information can be found on the Knowledge Base about making it into a tiara etc.

  6. Meeting History: Trees

Dunno if everybody's tree locations are the same but by pure chance I got the right combo first go (lol). For me it was:

    Top Left: Plum

Top Right: Whatever the plant that needs to go further away is called

    Middle-Top Left: Pear

    Middle-Bottom Left: Mango

    Bottom Left: Lemon

    Bottom Right: Avocado

(this is based on the river being at bottom of screen with house on right)

  7. I was just looking at the ring and looked at the 30 free low alch spells you get each day and wondered if they actually gave xp... and learnt that it did. It gives 31xp per cast. So even though this is minimal xp.. its free xp. potentially you can make a free 930 mage xp a day. I know thats really not much relative to other mage spells but all it takes is 30 gp (30 tinderboxes or other 1gp items) and you almost make 1k free xp a day. So in essence you're buying 930 mage xp for 30gp.. i think that isnt half bad, considering the only expense is the items you are alching. And I'm sure it isn't hard to find a item spawn place that is convenient so you dont have to use any gp at all. For example honey from the bees between seers and cath, all you need then is bug repellent, the ring and boom 930 xp. For non members there are plenty of item spawns in lumbridge in and around the castle. It wouldn't be hard to rack up 30 items. Or you could just kill 30 goblins and low alch the bones.

Another point is it's fairly easy as the low alch option is the first on the ring, hence you can just left click the ring and you will be able to use the low alch.

For me as an almost lvl 80 mager, 930xp doesn't look much relative to how much xp is required to level but for magers on the lower level range, this 930xp could take out a fair chunk of their required xp to level.

  8. Just saying that you have to have all the required levels to start of the quest. Like Back to my Roots you cannot use a skill boosting item to get the required levels. Some might say that is self explanatory but there are many quests that skill boosters can be used to complete the quest requirements however I had 68 smithing and even after putting it at 69/68 I was unable to start it until I got to 69.

In the Back to My Roots guide tips it states: "Many players reported that boosting their stats (via potions, etc) to the required skill levels still did not allow them to do this quest. You may need to train up first."

I reccomend placing that exact tip on the Rocking Out one as well just for convenience

  9. Just finished it all
