  1. Choosing what items you could keep would remove what little risk is left in the game.

More or less. After the loss of PK, an inserted GE, and equv trade, the risk went down, and the player friendliness went up. By that I mean the game's guiding capabilities. Actual player friendliness between the RS community is too much to ask for.

And why should rares be treated special? They're regular items like anything else in Jagex's eyes, they just happen to be more sought after. That's why their high alch is about 3gp.

I wrote my reason: the reason they're worth anything is because Jagex made a mistake. They'd probably be happy if they can eliminate the rares market as well.

Rare's are treated specially because they're rare, obviously. Items from long-ago events that can never be gained again are coveted because of their limit. There can only be less of them in the future, causing their prices to go up. Ever since the RC guild opened, and that lady was looking at Talismans for extra experience and what not, the price of talismans increased drastically, around 20% depending on the availability.

  2. I personally haven't tried Bounty hunter mid crater but from what I've been hearing it sounds bad.

I wonder what would happen if you needed an iq test to play?

I hate how people look at IQ's as though they held any accuracy whatsoever. Every brain functions differently, from birth, forming billions of synaptical connections at random intervals, making everyone mentally different then the next. How in God's name can a 40 question standardized test possibly measure someone's intelligence?

I think that the people who actually believe IQ's are the same people who think "Liar-detector tests" a.k.a. polygraph test can be used effectively; It wouldn't surprise me if they also believed in Santa.

  3. One way around it could be the use of seperate chambers for different levels (just like pest control)

    E.g. 30-70, 71-100, 101-137

That could work the points like the pest control boats and enhance the rewards for those who work harder.

Sounds like the most reasonable option, although I next to never see crowded moderate\advanced boats, regardless of level or themed world.

  4. I'm surprised jagex hasn't hiked up the filter list with all the changes like ge and equal trade. It would be nice if they had some pleasant filtering though, replacing the "****" with something more lucrative.

  5. Wow, that is so hard, try doing that on f2p, forsakenmage is at 80 and she is f2p. Syzgy is at 99 or 98 and he is f2- so quit crying because us f2per's have stuff harder than you.

Wow, we coughed up 5 bucks for membership, trying doing that. F2P is like a demo, so of course things are much more limited; Who plays a demo for a year instead of going out to buy the game? So quit crying because us p2p'ers aren't dirt cheap.

I am not crying and I am not dirt cheap and I can cough up 5 bucks, and I used to cough up 7 beat that(I sent through the mail), but then:

    girls>life>runescape

It's nice that you have your priorities straight, but considering where you are, things must not be going so well.

  6. It probably took you longer to sign on and write this thread for that most likely single time you'll experience unfortunate computer behavior during game time. Besides, it's better then FoG's policy, where you're subject to forfeiting your wins for a whole 'nother round. Imagine if you didn't get any tokens after playing all 8 or so tedious rounds? (You don't have to imagine that hard if you're on the green team.)

  8. Yeah I was fishing once, and she told me to have a baguette.

    Excuse me?

What the f was a baguette. I picked something random, not a [developmentally delayed] choice like a kebab or pie, I picked the breadroll, and off I went to a far distance from a bank. This was back when they didn't have home teleport either, soo I had a long run.

You live and you learn. At least you learn real worldly applicable things from runescape. Baguettes are long french breads, accepting food from strangers can be fatal, and lunch ladies have fierce right hooks.

  9. Yeah, they are annoying, without auto's they are pretty pointless, except they can't get rid of them because of all the clothing, but they could cut down on them. It seems that they actually show up MORE now that the autoers are gone.

Auto-er's aren't here for their randoms so we get the extras.

  10. My best strategy thusfar has been to snatch the collector and then run to the right sticking to the outer areas. The other guy generally goes to their right, my left, and does a quick sweep of the area for me. Sometimes they just go straight down to the center, but that doesnt really matter. Meanwhile I can be found chillling in his\her start area, restoring my run. After a brief time I'll just be circulating counterclockwise, wearing out my enemy's run energy, hoping that he/she doesn't know the center restore it quickly. It's a slow process (up to 10x slower then the center depending on the position), but generally all my oppenants get incredibly irritated as they are forced to walk towards me as I dash from their grasps.

  11. This topic is funny

This was on page one, but still relevant, I find this offensive tbh:

I can tell none of you are any oldschool players, just RS2 products with no clue and eat everything that gets throwen at you.

So, because some of us didn't play RuneScape Classic, we are less important than you? I play the game, I enjoy it. I didn't like the December updates much, no, but I've adapted to them. I've done quests voluntarily for the first time ever, and I really enjoy them. While RS Classic is similar, and RS 2 was based on that game, it is NOT the same game. The reason you get 20kxp per hour in classic and 100kxp per hour in RS2 is because the experience system is different and there are better monsters. What's that? Better monsters? Better XP per hour? Different game? So now that the wilderness is gone, everything gets thrown at us? And the wilderness isn't dangerous anymore? Neared of Reverants? Scary eh?

How dare you say that you are more important, more clever and better than people who joined later than you. Infact, we are better. We can accept change. It was hard, but now we have accepted it. Maybe you should do the same, and also stop calling us RS2 Products.#

Wow, that's the longest post I've ever done. Someone give me a cookie

I'm always hearing cookies for some reason. "Join the dark side.. We have cookies" and other mind numbingly cheesey phrases. That must be way there's an overwhelmingly fat population.

Otherwise, I agree with your post. IMO, we're too cool for this guy's old school.

  12. Ever hear of people buying a law rune for 1k each? That's because they don't want to go all the way to the grand exchange, and they want to buy quickly, so they give more money.

I was at the entrance to a dark hole, and the person needed a lantern desperately, so I wanted to sell mine. He said it was okay to buy for 1k, until he saw the market price. He instantly refused, even though I was the only one there with a lantern. He could have payed a few hundred gp extra to save him a long trip to the grand exchange.

Most people buy for higher when desperate, but not anymore. Now some people won't buy for any bit higher EVER. It's pretty irritating, especially when they accuse me of trying to scam them.

It's commendable to charge extra for convienance, and if someone is so desperate yet unwilling to pay, then don't settle for their price. If they needed it enough, they would agree to your price.

  13. O.O

I forgot you had to collect charms....

I just meant it was cooking 2.0 because (once you have the charms) it is basically the same thing except more cash needed and more time walking.

cooking 2.0 suggests it's like some update or advancement. If anything, due to charms, it's like cooking beta.

  14. Agreed, and what's even more annoying is, "Can I borrow your GS for free?" from complete strangers... while I'm using it... I'm fine with giving advice, but people shouldn't expect complete strangers to provide for them.

Yeah, I see that a lot while I'm cutting magics or yews. A guy wcing with a rune axe would ask a guy wcing with a dragon axe to borrow it. It always sparks the thought of "How stupid can you get?" and reminds me of why I hate 80%+ population of runescape.

  15. I DO respect firemaking, fletching, and cooking capes, but not as much as the others. They're just easier than the others, even though I do respect the achievment accomplished. However, if someone thinks they're better than someone for having 99 firemaking, fletching, or cooking, I'd have to strongly disagree, it only shows how rich and how dedicated they are to the game.

If there was such an emote, if I saw someone with a summoning cape, I'd bown down to them in respect. Some capes are just more respectable than others.

I'd have to agree with you, since some skills are harder to level up in, some skill capes will be more reveared.

  16. What really grumps my *** here is that you overlook ONE BIG thing! Maybe someone decided to get the Cooking, FM or Hunter cape because he thinks it fits with his outfit? Maybe he don't care if you are jelaous (Cause that's what you are, yes. I am aswell on some capes no doubt) and whine about how little life he got? Maybe he took 2 years to get that skill and then some random looser comes along and starts insulting him? Is that the kind of MMORPG we want? I highly doubt anyone of us wants a world of Runescape just to be about insulting eachothers. Get off his back and EARN IT like everyone else and stop the ******* whine! Jesus christ, you are all a bunch of nabs for insulting someone for an achievement that you probably would do if you had the chance, but no you gotta act all macho. Again, get off his back and earn it like everyone who's got a 99. :x

They stopped being relevant to the thread awhile ago, and it's now a context battle; Bunch'a folks weeping about who said what.

  17. Mining is not high on my list of fave skills.

I think they should probably at least get a Dragon Pic-axe though. I mean woodcutters have a Dragon Axe...But to be honest, I can't tell it is any better than a rune axe as far as woodcutting goes...sure it has higher combat stats, but as far as just cutting faster, I can't tell it does.

And if you do think it sucks, just find a skill you do like to concentrate on.

Personally, I think excelling at one skill for money, where you have to jump worlds for it to be profitable is..well it is not for me. I know of plenty of things to do to make a mil or more a day that don't require me to hop worlds all the time.

As an unfortunately avid wc-er, I can vouch that the difference is minimal; definitely not worth the 1.9m . A D-pick would probably be more costly and just as effective as the rune.

  18. "But I thought Monkey and Klutz said that was impossible??"

"You like the attention, or you would bank it."

My bad, I see how those two sentences mean exactly the same thing. :wall:

I'm kind of surprised you don't see what that implies, as you don't seem that ignorant.
