  1.

Well now we know that high level magic is totally pointless compared to high level ranged/melee in f2p. Teleblock is effectively obsolete...

not quite. When you do get assigned a bounty hunter target, the target also gets you assigned, right? And I assume the bounty-locate spell still works. You could cast the locate spell, teleblock the other, and then run off to hide somewhere ^_^ just for s and g ;) To bad entangle doesn't work on f2p, or that trick could become really, really annoying

  2. I think people grow with their accounts. Because a lot of people got it when they were young themselves, so they (should be) act more mature when they're high levels. I can't seem to get rid of the idea that every level-70 is a 12 year old kid.

  Completely agree there. I always seem to think the higher the level, the more mature and vice versa. I always find it quite a shock to see high levels act like little kids :?

  3. For whoever said Jagex wants to avoid lawsuits, I'm pretty sure having an optional censor that is on by default and must be changed by the user (with a warning of some form) makes them immune to any legal trouble.

    Who said that?

Jagex did on the runescape forums. I can't remember exactly where, but it was in response to making an optional sensor or something comparable.

Personally I really hate when perfectly normal things get blocked because some immature players abuse it. And for one I really don't get why can say things like [wagon], but can't say 'poof' or 'bugger'

  4.

And Jagex has been making updates to refine the GE and make it harder for clans to alter the prices. It just needs more work.

Possibly, However the changes they plan on are not necesarily for the best... They plan on partly removing amount limits on certain items, and eventually removing the top and bottom price caps. They don't want a fixed economy anymore, they want a working one. That would get rid of most of the junk because their price would drop to the true junk-value, but imagine what could happen without price caps...

To be honest I rather have an extremely fixed economy - or no economy at all - than an economy determined and set by merchers.

  5. I don't like having to agree with a pker, but TheDayRsDied does have a point here.. Price manipulation on this scale would have never been able before the Exchange, let's face that.

  6. I love the whole thing, but I think the expert skiller tasks are a little to easy. I mean, for the expert combat tasks you require people to do the hardest things around runescape - solo the hardest bosses. I really love the combat idea's because if you can complete those tasks you really are worthy of that magnificent reward. :)

I'd say for most skills you would have to do the hardest - or harder - things for the expert diaries too.

    - make a zamorak mix (85 herblore)

    - pick herbs from a home-grown torstol plant (85 farming)

    - use a Clay harpoon to catch a shark (80 fishing)

    - deposit cash in the treasure chest of your dungeon treasure room (79+ construction)

    - fletch a dragon arrow (90 fletching)

    - sucessfully pickpocket a hero (80 thieving)

    - craft 112 earth runes in one go (78 runecrafting)

    - mine a runite ore from the rocks in the deep wilderness (85 mining)

    - light the beacon on the frozen waste plateau (92 firemaking)

    - help to kill an evil elder tree (85 woodcutting)

    - smelt a runite bar and smith this into a dagger (85 smithing)

    - sucessfully cook a manty ray (91 cooking)

I tried to make these so that level 3 skillers could also complete them. Therefor, tasks like 'enter the highest pyramid plunder room' aren't really possible.

  7. Lighthouse dagannoths: no hides

    Waterbirth danannoths: hides

    Chaos tunnel dagannoths: hides

I would't kill them in the chaos tunnels because its multi. I prefer the waterbirths since there's hardly ever anyone there, theyre still great xp and have far better drops then their lighthouse brothers :P

  8. I think there was a glitch around the release of Lumbridge diary that allowed people to use the assist system for some tasks, because officially you can't. I've tried teleport tablets, ring of life, dieing, home teleporting and teleport-portals in player houses on my skiller, and neither worked. However, I do know someone who has the full ring at level 3... *shrugs*

  9. Couldn't resist posting...

Upon the way to 99 slayer I did an average of 90k slayer xp a day, usually around 15k xp an hour. If you do not use a cannon - like me - that means you are getting 60k melee xp an hour. That's quite a lot in my opinion, but then again I only ever trained combat with slayer.

Getting to roughly 3.3m xp for 85 slayer with 15k xp an hour, meaning 220 hours of casual slayer, can be considdered hard.

Now of course you can always go hardcore and start cannoning everything, but then you can say goodbye to your profit and from my point of view to the fun in the skill.
